Let me start out by saying I'm a strong believer in that cancer can be cured and that the fight is winnable. Breast cancer is a type of cancer that forms in the breast. It forms from the tissue and cells inside the breast, usually in the ducts of the breast that produce milk. Cancer occurs when cells change and mutate. This can occur from cells turning different genes on and off in the nucleus. These genes help regulate the rate of cells being made, and help keep them healthy. When the genes are mutated and become abnormal the cell splits and makes more cells just like it. A tumor is made when a bunch of mutated cells clumped together.
There are two types of tumors, a Benign tumor and a Malignant tumor. Benign tumors are not considered to be cancerous and they usually are not dangerous to your body. They grow at a slow rate and do not spread into nearby tissue or other parts of the body. Malignant tumors are cancerous and can be extremely dangerous to the body if not treated properly. It is possible for Malignant tumors to spread to other parts of the body, this process is called metastasis and if this occurs it could lead to different types of cancers such as bone cancer, rectal, lung, brain, etc.... There are many different types of breast cancer. Oncologist and other types of professional doctors identify these cancers by the cells that cause them whether they are malignant or benign cells. Even hormones can have a say in what certain type of "cancer" it will turn out to be.

Invasive cells can bypass breast tissue walls and infect other parts of the body like lymph nodes, by traveling through the blood. Noninvasive cells like to remain close to the origins of where they we're made. They do not usually move through ducts or lobules and don't infect surrounding tissue. Breast cancer is classified on where it starts ducts, milk, and lobules are common
“Cancer” is the name for a group of diseases that start in the body at the cellular level. Even though there are many different kinds of cancer, they all begin with abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These abnormal cells lump together to form a mass of tissue or “malignant tumor”. Malignant means that it can spread to other parts of the body or Metastasize . If the breast is the original location of the cancer growth or malignant tumor, the tumor is called breast cancer. (American Cancer Society, 2014, as cited in cbcf.org)
Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that begins in the breast ("Florida Department of Health," n.d.). A malignant tumor can invade surrounding tissues or spread to other areas of the body. Breast cancer is predominantly a disease among women and is the most common type of cancer among women in the United States.
“Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems (NCI, 2013).” Cancer is of many diseases. It originates from the organ in the body and/or from the part of the body that is affected, for example breast cancer. Breast cancer is mainly common among women, except for skin cancers. “Breast cancer occurs when cells in the breast divide and grow without their normal control (Komen, 2014).” The
This type of breast cancer begins in the milk ducts of the breast. At first, there are normal cells, but then a mutation occurs. Some kind of carcinogen damages and changes a couple of genes. The mutated genes associated with breast cancer are Genes BrCA1 and BrCA2. The
There are many different diseases that terrorize the human race every day. Of all of these sicknesses, one of the most devastating is breast cancer. Breast cancer touches all types of people all over the world each day. It is actually the second most common cancer amongst women in the United States. One in every eight women in the United States has some form of breast cancer and currently, the death rates are higher than any other cancer with the exception of lung cancer. Cancer is defined by the Merriam-Webster Online dictionary as “a malignant tumor of potentially unlimited growth that expands locally by invasion and systemically by metastasis.” Therefore, breast cancer is a disease of
Basically, breast cancer happens when the amount of cells growth exceeds the amount of cells which die. Ultimately, they are out of control and being spread to other parts of the body, including the liver, bones or even the brain. There are many factors which contribute to
Breast cancer is defined as a malignant tumor in the cells of the breast. A cancerous tumor develops when a group of malignant cells invade the tissue surrounding the breast and can spread to other parts of the body (Cancer.org, 2015). This type of cancer is most common in women. However, men can also fall victim to the disease. In 2015, about 230,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in women and approximately 40,000 women will die from this disease (Cancer.org, 2015).
Breast cancer is a disease in which malignant cells form in the breast tissue. There are many different kinds of breast cancer, which is determined by which cells in the breast that are cancerous. The lobules, ducts, and connective tissue are the three main parts that make up the breast. Most cancer starts in the ducts and lobules with the most common being invasive ductal carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma. In invasive ductal the cancer cells grow outside the ducts of the breast into other parts of the breast tissue and may metastasize to other parts of the body. Invasive lobular cancer starts in the lobules of the breast and spreads to the nearby breast tissue or other parts of the body.
Breast Cancer is a cancerous tumor that has developed within the cells of the breast. The most ordinary area in the breast for breast cancer to develop is the ducts, and less ordinary in the lobules of the breast. The cancerous cells can intrude healthy breast tissue over time, or cells can break off from the tumor and travel to the lymph nodes and into the lymphatic system which could take them to other parts of the body (“Breast Cancer-Woman’s”).
Fortunately, there are many organizations working to raise awareness of the disease to educate the population and to support the research about it. Breast cancer is a kind of cancer that begins in breast cells. The cancer can be labeled as invasive or noninvasive. An invasive cancer means the cancer cells will spread from inside the breast to other parts of the body. With that being said, the cancer cells can reach the lymph nodes and spread to other organs like the lungs, liver, brain, or even bones.
Most people know at least one person who currently has or has had breast cancer at one point. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers there are, affecting 1 in 8 women at some point in their life time. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that starts in the cells of a breast. A malignant tumor is a group of cells that can spread to other parts of the body. Although breast cancer is mostly in women, men can get breast cancer too.
Breast cancer begins with out of control growth of the cells in the Breast tissue. A malignant tumor is a group of cancer cells that grow into tissues or spread to other areas of the body.
Breast cancer is a malignant tumor in the glandular tissues of the breast. Such tumors, also called carcinomas, form when the chemical processes that control normal cell growth break down, enabling a single abnormal cell to multiply at a rapid rate (Hickman). Carcinomas,
Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells grow or multiply without control, the cells can also affect other parts of the body by spreading. There are different types of cancer. They are usually named after the organ or cell they start in. The body is completely made up of cells, and of course we all know that cancer starts in cells, when cells become old they die and new cells are produced. This process sometimes goes wrong and the cell can mutate and affect normal cell growth. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers there is. Breast cancer is
How does breast cancer develop? Breast cancer can first develop when proliferation of cells (or division of cells) begins to divide out of control. This can occur because of
