Once I received my results from the different colleges I have applied to, I was presented with many options. The easiest and most apparent choice my parents saw for me was to attend a university in my home state of Colorado, like the University of Colorado Boulder or Colorado State University. Both schools are excellent and open a door to different opportunities, but I want to challenge myself.
I have dreams and ambitions that have not been established or created by other people, and I need a school like Brandies that has teachers, staff, and peers who are invested in my future and will support me in making my dreams a reality. Brandeis is the diverse school I need that has a student body who understands the ingredients of what
I actually just committed to Cal State-Fullerton, so that’s been my dream school since I’ve been like 10 years old. I mainly just applied to colleges that had my major and had a strong program for that major. Cal State, Fullerton has a really strong stem program and they feed into three different medical schools, so that’s how I chose that I was going to go there.
As a senior in high school the time has come when people begin to ask big and sometimes overwhelming questions like, “Where are you going to college?” and “What will be your major?” These questions, of course, lead to college visits and decisions. The two colleges that seem to meet my criteria are The University of Findlay and Ohio Dominican University. Both colleges have positive aspects, such as having the major that I am interested in as well as being close to family. However, The University of Findlay seems to be a better fit than Ohio Dominican because it is closer to home and I am familiar with the campus and I grew up on this campus.
Making the final college choice is a difficult decision for a student and his or her family. The final decision needs to be a balance between value and opportunity. I want to get the best opportunity for the best deal. This could be a better academic program in my major, more rigorous academics overall, a better location, internships, and a safer campus.
I created an account on College Board in sixth grade. Since then, my list of colleges I want to attend continuously fluctuated from to 20 schools to 5. Right now, it is at seven schools: Boston University, University of Southern California, Northwestern University, Kenyon College, Syracuse University, Vanderbilt University and -- as an in-state something-horrible-happens-and-I-don’t-have-enough-money-to-get-out-of-state back up plan -- University of Arizona. However, when making a decision about schools, I must consider what each of these schools can offer me, both financially and in regards to major choice. In general, my interests lie in theatre and psychology. As of now, the plan is to double major in either of Bachelor of Fine Arts or
I have attended my current school, City Honors in Buffalo, NY, since the 7th grade. While I cherish the education and experiences I gained during my six years there, my graduating class is very small and I feel ready to move forward, grow and utilize new opportunities. When I started my college search, I knew I wanted to attend a large, diverse university with strong academics and an energetic and enthusiastic setting.
Growing up, I never had a “Dream school”. It seemed as if all of my peers around me knew what they wanted to be or knew where they wanted to attend college. Then there was me, as indecisive as ever. Do I stay in state where I could be close to family, or should I step out of my comfort zone and travel far?
The University of Texas would be the best college to further my education at a college that my whole family loves. It’ll also help teach me hands on and in a way that benefits me. The University of Texas has always been my Dream College and first
In today’s extremely competitive, job-scarce economy, having a college degree is now a steadfast requirement when applying to even entry-level professional jobs. Choosing a college has always been a challenging task for high school seniors, but it is now fraught with stress and anxiety for nearly every adult who seeks to further their education. Questions abound: what school offers the exact program I desire? What school is in the best location, or has the best campus? What school feels ‘right’?
I would like to attend Colorado College because I like the focus on one class at a time that the block plan offers. I also enjoy the outdoors
Both the University of Utah (U of U) and Utah Valley University (UVU) are great schools in their own respective ways. However, each school has their own advantages over the other, many of which are significant factors in determining which college I will attend. The most important factors for me are location, total cost of tuition, and whether or not my preferred major is offered. I would like to preface that these are very important determinates when it comes to the college I choose, the first two being related to money (which is an issue because irrespective of where I go, I will have to pay for half of the college without my parents support, either through grades or a job) and the relating to that of my major, which is philosophy. I will extrapolate later as to why that is of importance to me but it is important.
Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University are two schools that I’ve been accepted in. I would like to go to GCU, but I’m not sure if I’ll be accepted. If I don’t get accepted I would want to attend Northern Arizona University full time. I would also like to live on campus only at NAU. If I go to another university I will just plan on still living with my parents.
Going to college, is where your journey in life really begins. Choosing the right college for you is one of the biggest decisions you make in life. I choose California Baptist University to enhance my studies, meet people pursuing the same passion as I am, and become closer to God.
As a prospective student, I believe Rutgers University to be the perfect fit for my educational goals. One of those goals is to build a lifelong network of people that I can rely on and connect with, both on a professional level and a personal level. Fortunately, Rutgers University came through in delivering a vibrant community of people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Another goal I wished to achieve is finding ways to make my mark on the world and accomplish something great, just like the renowned engineer/inventor Elon Musk, who once said: "When I was in college, I wanted to be involved in things that would change the world." Thankfully, Rutgers University conducts cutting-edge researches that contributes to the medical,
A big school or small, public or private, urban or rural; these are just a few of the many difficult deciding factors I faced during my college selection. At the height of my selection process, I had applied to ten schools ranging across all those factors. I was completely unsure of what I wanted to do with my life yet and had no idea what type of school I wanted. My mind wasn’t set enough on the future and I was too worried about getting through high school and working my full-time job. As it got closer to spring, I had to start making some decisions. Ultimately, I narrowed my deciding process to three factors to specifically analyze to make the right decision. Beginning with reputation, followed by student life, and lastly the financial cost to attend.
When applying to colleges, everyone has a goal in their mind that they are looking forward to accomplishing. I also have an aim and plan which I want to execute in the best way possible. The first and most crucial thing that holds immense importance in fulfilling your dream is the college one chooses to go to. I chose Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) for many reasons, Starting off by mentioning the wide variety of business and marketing programs they provide. Moreover, the community of the college is known to be one of the best in New York, with a beautiful campus and especially for me, the commute is a great steal. While applying to colleges, FIT caught my attention the most. This was the only college, whom I see myself graduating from in four years with my dream of a bachelor degree in marketing. The reason why I chose marketing is that I have always been a social person who loves talking and most importantly I am an extremely organized person who knows how to perform her tasks very well. So that is why I see myself working as a marketing manager for big companies like Google and Apple.
