For this assignment I didn’t really know of a good way to break a social way, so I picked the one from the example. Joining a conversation of someone you do not know is probably the easiest thing to do. It was time to determine where my observations would take place. I didn’t want to do it while people were walking to class. Most people are in a rush to go to class or occupied by there smart phones. So I decided to do it at one of the ASU dinning halls. The reason I picked a dinning hall is because I felt like it would be easier to hold a conversation with someone sitting still than a person in motion.

Two main reasons contribute to why I would love to become a Housing Ambassador. To help get many prospective and current students excited and involved in campus housing is the first reason. So many people shoot down on campus housing because of the price; however, people do not realize housing is more than just a room you pay for. You live here, study here, and have fun here. There are many events, free stuff, and free food that residence halls and RSA provide for students. I want to be able to show students that off-campus students do not have the same experiences as on-campus students. The second reason I would like to become a Housing Ambassador is for the experience. Ultimately, I would like to become a dean or chancellor of a college in my golden years. Being an Housing Ambassador would provide me with life-long experiences that I could take into my future careers as a business leader, politician, and dean/ chancellor.

In some universities, the sharing of rooms between female and male is allowed. DSU housing should allow men and women to be roommates. First, there is some women and men that get along better than they would with the same-sex. For example, women tend to have more problems and drama with other women. When two or more women are placed in one house without knowing each other there is going to be misunderstandings. Also, in some situations two siblings, a brother and sister get along really well. As I go to sleep, I dream of a place where everyone is treated equally and not judged by their race or culture. As I wake up the next morning I tell myself, “Life being treated equally… What is that?”  For years racism has been around, When will it ever stop? We the people are tired of seeing innocent black lives on the news being shot up by police officers for looking “suspicious”. If the law does not seem to notice how big of a problem racism is becoming, One suggestion that I would give them is that they should take their time to read “Room For Rent”,  By Richie Narvaez. After reading that story, it will give you a better view on how racism is a huge problem. While I was reading this story, it made me more interested to find out if this is really happening or is it just a myth. It makes me wonder if people actually face these ethnicity problems.
