The book Heat is about a boy named Miguel he is 12 years of age he lives in
the South Bronx New York with his brothers Arroyo and Carlos they use to live in
Cuba but their father moved them to New York for a better life. They all live
alone they use to live with their father but he had a heart attack several months
ago and died. Now they live in an apartment alone and tell people their father is
in Cuba taking care of his brother and will be back soon. The only person that knows that they live alone there is miss Cora. Miss Cora watches over them and
takes care of them. In the story the main charter Miguel he is faced with a hard
turn Miguel because he is no longer allowed to play baseball witch is his favorite
sport.
