Annabeth is angry because she had a vision that she would find a clue to her missing boyfriend, Percy Jackson, at the Grand Canyon. She was told to look for the "one with the missing shoe." Jason, who has lost a shoe in the battle, has no memories of his own identity, let alone Percy Jackson's whereabouts. Jason, Piper and Leo are informed that they are demigods (children of a god and a mortal) and are taken back to Camp Half-Blood where they meet other demigod children like themselves. There, Leo is revealed as a son of Hephaestus, Piper as a daughter of Aphrodite, and Jason as a son of Zeus and the brother of Thalia. He remembers his sister while seeing a picture of her in Cabin One. After scarcely 24 hours of learning about their previously hidden identities, the three receive an urgent quest to rescue Hera, queen of the gods, who was captured by unnamed

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is about a 12 year old boy named Percy Jackson who's getting chased by mythological monsters and his two friends Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, and Grover Underwood a satyr who is Percy's protector. Percy was in 6th grade and had just gotten out of school for summer break, when he found out that he was a half-blood, his mother was Sally Jackson, a mortal and his father was Poseidon, king of the sea. Percy got sent to camp Half-Blood for protection from monsters and got assigned a mission to find a lightning bolt that the gods think he stole and prevent a war between the gods, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus.
In the book, there is a boy named Grover. He is a satyr, which means half-goat, half-human. Grover is in charge of finding potential half-bloods and helping them get safely to Camp Half-Blood. The satyr would have to be a really close friend so I would say Aaron or someone like that would be my Grover. There would also have to be a crazy teacher that really hates me and wants to kill me. In the book, Percy’s math teacher is what they call a “Fury”. A Fury works for Hades, the God of the Underworld, and they believe that Percy stole Zeus’ lightning bolt. There’s also a character in the story named Annabeth. Annabeth is a daughter of Athena so we would be half-siblings. In the story, Percy and Annabeth are very good friends (sometimes) and always help each other. I would say that my Annabeth would be Dorothy or Ini. There would also have to be someone who I think is my friend, and then betrays me. In the book, this character’s name is Luke. I will not say who my Luke might be because it might sound
So, when Grover, Annabeth (the daughter of Athena), and him encounter her garden she turns a lady that was holding Annabeth’s arm into stone. Medusa is then trying to tempt Annabeth too also look into her eyes, right when Annabeth gets tired of closing her eyes Percy distracts Medusa. She then goes and tries to turn him into stone. For instance, when she says “Let me see your eyes. I hear they are bluer than the Circassian Sea. Open them! Or my hungry babies will have to open them for you.” She has snakes as hair and she is warning him that if he doesn’t open his eyes on his own she is going to make the snakes open his eyes. However, he manages to not look into her eyes and ultimately ends up chopping her head off with his pen that turns into a sword. Later, he has to beat the hydra dragon. He made things worse since he cut the heads off, and according to Greek mythology when you cut one off two grow back. This is exactly what happens and they are attacking him, but he is able to defeat
This is when Percy realized that it was Ares all along trying to start a war in the Olympus. He wasn’t the one who stole the items, but it was him who used the temper of the two gods, Poseidon and Zeus, knowing that they would eventually start a war.

Prejudice is a large problem in today’s society. Prejudice is having a preconceived opinion not based on reason or fact. Prejudice is all around us and is extremely prevalent daily lives. Remember the Titans is a film from 2000 displaying a true story of a racially divided football team from the 1970s. The movie highlights the relationships of the black and white people, and how they learned to interact with each other in a time when this was not the way of life. It brings up a number of questions throughout, of what is right and what is wrong, and really challenges the characters, making it a very interesting movie to watch. I have seen this movie many times, and each time I feel like I get something new out of it. It is a movie that can be used as a teaching tool, it does a great job of interpreting not only what was happening in the United States of America at that time, but social psychology concepts through real life
Contrastingly, the gods are purely mentioned in the film with the exception of the appearance of Thetis to Achilles. Gods are only prayed and sacrificed to, but they do not make an appearance in Troy. The gods have a major role in the Iliad however; they are depicted as having a grand amount of control over what happens. For instance, the gods had control over the battle between Paris and Menelaos. Paris escapes with the help of the goddess Aphrodite, who wraps him in a thick mist and carries him back home: “But Aphrodite caught up Paris / easily, since she was divine, and wrapped him in a thick mist / and set him down again in his own perfumed bedchamber.” (3. 380-2). However in the film, Hektor ends up killing Menelaos. As readers of the Iliad, it is known that Menelaos is supposed to survive. As the gods do not appear in the film, viewers do not have the opportunity to know what the gods are thinking or planning. Only readers of the Iliad are able to witness a conversation held between the gods. The film therefore provides no foretelling of what will happen in the future, while the epic does. There is also no sign of communication between the gods and humans in the film. While in the Iliad, gods tend to appears in dreams or even disguised as another person. Nevertheless, gods and anything close to mystical are not displayed
