There was a girl who loved playing volleyball, she played all the time hoping to get better. Due to this, she had to fall on her knees a lot so as to not let the ball touch the ground. After some time she noticed her knees stayed swollen and it hurt. Worried her knees will stay like that, she went to the doctor to be diagnosed. They told her it is a disease called Osgood-Schlatter and she shouldn’t worry too much, it will probably disappear eventually. Although, she will need to reduce her hours of exercise for some time, since she could injure her knee more.

This softens or weakens the bone structure, resulting most commonly in skeletal deformities such as bowlegs or improper curvature of the spine” (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2006).

Shin splints also known as medial tibial stress syndrome is a condition many people suffer. Shin splints is a condition in which the tiblias posterior muscle "inflates." About 60% of the time shin splints are the main cause of leg injuries. There are many ways one can obtain shin splints but the main causes are excessive pressure and excessive impact towards the muscle. The main people who suffer from this condition are the athletes. Brown Sequard syndrome results from a lateral hemisection of the spinal cord. The deficits associated with Brown Sequard syndrome are ipsilateral (same side) and contralateral (opposite side) and include loss of lower motor neurons and sensations (Radomski& Trombly, 2014). Ipsilaterally, below the level of the injury, voluntary motor control, proprioception, and discriminative touch are lost. Contralaterally, below the level of the injury, pain and temperature sensation are lost (Ccoopa, 2012).

Murphy, he discusses the many factors that affect asthma and how inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) are used for all different levels of asthma. Kevin R. Murphy brings up factors such as air pollution and smoking that contribute to the variable nature of asthma which affect people with asthma every day. I will be evaluating the points that Kevin R. Murphy made about the factors that affect asthma and how versatile treatment is for asthma.

The general public and even some medical professionals lacks in depth information on Necrotizing Fasciitis. Most Americans have not heard of it or do not have enough information about it to know what to do. It is commonly misdiagnosed and is often fatal because it is not caught in time. I will discuss what it is, what causes it, describe clinical presentation, treatment options, and the prognosis of this disease. In hopes that more people can be made aware of this deadly disease.

The condition is also known as fallen arches, it causes the feet of the patient to be flattened causing severe pain and discomfort. The author’s view is to educate his audience or readers about fallen arches. I know this because from the onset the author mentioned that he also suffers from flat feet and that this was an opportunity to research more into this topic.
