I have contacted both schools in regard of an official copy of my transcripts to be sent to you. You may have either received one or both of them, but if not, they will arrive shortly. To answer your question, I wish to leave Blessing-Rieman at this stage of my education because I am simply unhappy with their program and they made it more stressful than it needed to be. When I applied and attended Blessing-Rieman, they did not make me aware of certain requirements for the program until I completed the first or second semester of their program. At that time, I already completed a significant part of their program and I believed it would be a good idea to try and complete my degree. With this extra requirement for their program, it has ended
As Ernie Harwell once quoted: “It's time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I'd much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure.” This quote sums up the feelings that come to mind as I fill out this application to transfer to Rutgers New Brunswick. My experience so far at Rutgers has taught me a lot about myself, and the people around me. It taught me that I am a part of a bigger picture, and each of us as individuals have a huge impact on the society around us. However, I have come to peace that it is time to move on from the Newark campus and pursue my degree at Rutgers New Brunswick School of Arts and Sciences. New Brunswick would be a more logical option for my studies due to a shorter commute from home, and a better computer science program.

How do your Strengths Finder talents support the primary planning, organizing, leading, and controlling activities of a manager?
The Redeemers were a group of white Southern planters and businessmen who sought to undo the legislations passed during the Reconstruction period. Staged a major counterrevolution to "redeem" the south by taking back southern state governments. Their foundation rested on the idea of racism and white supremacy. Redeemer governments waged and aggressive assault on African Americans. Redeemers attempt to limit the rights of African Americans setting up the poll tax in an effort to deny the vote to African Americans. The poll tax was a special tax people had to pay before they could vote. Some states also targeted African American voters by requiring them to pass a literacy test. Also, segregation laws began to spread across the South, a rise
When I originally was registering my class choices for the Fall 2016 semester, I considered English 111 to be an undemanding course that I could pass without a lot of effort on my behalf. I had no trouble passing prior English courses, years ago, so I felt this course would be similar. What I had not anticipated was how much I honestly could learn, such as: how you should properly cite sources, how you should suitably prove your thesis and how you can accurately set up the flow of a paper. Although, the most informative part of English 111, for me, has been absorbing all the information on the different styles of papers that can be written. I believe that recognizing the usefulness of distinctive varieties of papers will help me throughout
My dad used to tell me all the time that we are all a work in progress. At the time I didn’t know exactly know what he meant. As years have passed on and my relationship with Christ matured, I now know what he meant. We as children of God can never be perfect, but what we can do is strive to be like Christ, this is what the definition of a Christian is, “Christ like”. I try to share the good news of Jesus, and when I do I like to talk to people about God’s Grace and through his son Jesus there is no Condemnation.
Before attending GCU and using the sources that they provide, I normally would use resources and tools that were provided by various universities. Two notable examples that I would use where Purdue University's OWL and also Calvin College's KnightCite. OWL is a particularly helpful source since it offers a wide variety of articles regarding various topics that play a key role within successful writing. KnightCite was also a source I widely used because of the fact that it was a great way in order to get MLA (which I used in high school) citations for works used in my papers. However, nowadays I mainly use the sources provided by GCU such as the writing center which I have found to be quite helpful. In particular, I enjoy the templates provided
I chose Bethel University after talking with an enrollment counselor at a recent vocational school I was attending. She told me about all the things bethel offered and what I could accomplish with the degree type I am currently pursuing. When I graduated from the vocational school I reached out to another enrollment officer counselor who elaborated more on what bethel had to offer, but expressed more on the “online program” due to my heavy work schedule. After doing a little bit of research on my own and looking up the program I would be taking I knew bethel was the right fit. The online program that bethel has is set up to assist students in every single way. The due dates on the assignments are even meant for the student to have ample time
When you first begin a class you never know what to expect. When I first began Intro to Ministry, I did not know the level of insight that I would have about myself and about the character of God. I have been able to combine the things that have happened in my past and things that are happening now to try to paint God's picture in my life to come. Although you do not need to pinpoint the exact moment in time when you received your call for it to be legible, I am thankful that I do. I think it was a series of people and events unfolding in my life and God opened my eyes to the plans He had for me that lead me to that night. The day that I accepted my calling to be a youth pastor (December 30,2015) I did not go into that evening thinking “I’m going to listen to God and go into Ministry” - but I guess you never do. Since then God has been preparing me emotionally, physically, and mentally through programs that I have gone through, people in my life such as my friends, family, and professors I have gotten to know during the short time that I have been at Indiana Wesleyan. I am nowhere close to being where I want to be but that is the beauty of accepting God's call into any type of ministry, you do not have to have it all figured out, you just have to trust Him.“God is a God of infinite variety, and His call comes to people in many ways.” (Drury, K. Pg.67). I didn’t receive my calling in a damascus road way, instead God knew my heart and character so He gave me my calling in a
I find that going to readings in the summer tend to be more enjoyable for me. I often meet inspiring writers that make me excited to develop my own writing style. Joy Williams reading at Green Apple Books was no different. Upon first glance Ms. Williams appeared to be mysterious and a little odd. She had walked into the bookstore with large sunglasses and didn’t remove them for the entirety of the reading. Later, I was informed that she never takes off her sunglasses in public. While her appearance was off putting, after hearing her read, I found that her writing style was quite humorous and overcame the initial impression she gave. Her book of short stories titled Ninety-nine Story of God was a modern look at what God can represent in today's society both in physically and metaphorically. Ms. Williams also puts the titles of each story at the end of which I found was an unexpected yet effective technique to keep the audience's
Every fourth-year teacher trainees will have to conduct practicum and will work under the guideline of their associate teachers and supervisors. The purpose of doing the practicum are to put training into practice, to become accustomed to teaching in the tertiary school settings, and to develop and expand each trainee’s teaching expertise and confidence. In the following paragraph, I will express what I have learnt from doing practicum to reflect on my past teaching strengths and weaknesses from the teaching practicum.
Studies of Jesus primarily focus on the duality of Jesus and how he is able to be both human and divine at once. This subject was disputed at the Council of Chalcedon in the year 451 between the
My first semester as a college freshman is finally coming to an end. This semester has been the start to a new chapter in my life and I am glad to have finally finished my first semester on a high note. Coming into college I never knew what things would be like and how would I adjust. All I knew is that I wanted to succeed and eventually graduate college. The courses I have taken this semester have had big impact on my learning and my future. Assignments that taught skills and lessons to be used in the future. I have learned skills such as being able to collaborate in groups because of projects in ASU 150.
Christian Tradition course exposed me to the Christian Tradition based on Biblical and church history. The course taught me the differences and similarities of Christian Tradition from other major world religions. I learned about the significance of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Trinity based on the teachings of the Bible. The course also briefly covered 2,000 years of church history but with emphasis on the impact of the Council of Nicea, Council of Chalcedon, and John and Charles Wesley on Christianity. The professor emphasized the importance of the reformation that sparked a revolution in the church.
To understand where I am now in relation to Catholic theology I feel that it is appropriate to look back on the thoughts and ideas that I had when I first started this THEO 1001 class. Honestly coming into college I have thought about my faith very little and studied the bible and what it means even less. In my mind I have always thought that theology was primarily a group of people just sitting around reading the bible repeatedly and then coming up with ways on how to interpret certain beliefs and messages in it and what they mean to us as Christians. Now I understand that theology has many more aspects to it than just the one example I gave earlier. The fact that this class was just about Catholic theology doesn’t really have a meaning to me because I haven’t studied other religions or denominations theology. Diving deeper into what I thought about how Catholic theology impacted my life will be a very shallow dive, given that I am neither Catholic or a theologian I honestly thought that this class was going to be a history of how Catholics are the greatest Christians and their way of looking at the bible. Thankfully I was very wrong about both those things and have learned about some very interesting topics throughout the class, one being the fascinating section we did about anthropology and what role it plays into theology.
