Conclusions Our goal throughout this experiment was to see if our Black Snake’s length would differ when we changed the ratio of its ratios. We predicted that the more reactants added, the longer the snake would grow. In the end that was the result of our experiment that the snake grew larger when increased measurements up to, 30g of sugar, 15g of Baking Soda, and 16ml of Lighter Fluid. Our first snake grew 6.5cm, the second one grew 8cm, and the third one grew 24cm. Modifications were performed with slight adjustments to the set up of our experiment and that caused the drastic increase of the snake. Error Analysis As a group we encountered several possible errors throughout the experiment. Blunder error is a common error than can occur.
In the article "The snake that is eating Florida" written by Lauren Tarshis, it states that,"The Burmese python is not a specie naturally found in the everglades."How did it get here. A hurricane hit Florida in the 1990's and wreaked a reptile war house which had baby Burmese pythons in it. The wind in the hurricane was blowing to the west, strait to Miami/everglades. That's how the Burmese python got to the everglades, and then they became invasive.
Throwing a bunch of rattlesnakes in a pit and jumping in with them isn't typically the way you would want to spend a weekend. But, this is exactly the type of weekend you will get to experience if you visit the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup.
The materials used for this experiment were a glass beaker, a scale, 3 cups, three 3.5’’ bones extracted from a chicken wing, 100 mL of water, 100 mL of water mixed with 5.95 grams of sugar, and 100ml of red Gatorade, which contains 5.95 grams of sugar. The experiment was started by measuring out 100 mL water and placing it in a cup labeled “A”. The second step was to mix 100 mL of
Rattlesnakes are even known to move around during extended warm periods during winter months, especially if they hole up in a stump or other location that can be warmed easily by sunshine. Snakes do not actually hibernate, rather they become less active during cold weather. It is called
Female snakehead fish can spawn 15,000 eggs per spawn, and spawn up to five times every year. This means that the snakehead population is rapidly increasing. Snakeheads eat many native fish, and have a diet similar to a largemouth bass. Their diet coupled with their rapid growth is a recipe for disaster in the United States. Snakeheads can eat entire ecosystems in such a short amount of time, they can take over major lakes and rivers. This is the greatest environmental threat because of how fast they can reproduce.
The purpose of the “chi-square test” was to see if our data was in an acceptable range of a specific ratio listed above. The chi-square test took into account the expected deviations in the F2 offspring’s alleles.
Craig Martin, author of A Critical Introduction to the Study of Religion, defines “functionalism” as an approach where scholars “look for a particular function religion might play in society” (8). Religion plays a large function around the world and for all people, regardless if one is religious or not. In the case of Dennis Covington, the religious ritual of snake handling has impacted his life greatly, most plausibly serving the function of simply creating excitement in his life. Although no one can truly tell if someone’s faith is genuine or not, there is evidence that makes it appear as though Covington is more-so involved with the religious ritual of snake-handling for the exhilaration over a deep faith and belief in it. This may not ring true for all of the other snake-handling religion practitioners, although it’d be reasonable to assume that it does for the majority.
Rattlesnakes have a fascinating amount of features that make them unique, specifically their rattle. There are twenty-nine or thirty types of rattlesnakes, depending on how you categorize them. They grow to be three to seven feet long which is pretty pitiful compared to the fifteen foot anaconda. They tend to weigh round ten pounds and live anywhere from te to twenty years. Rattlesnakes are a bizarre kind of snake that are ovoviviparous, or in other words, don’t lay eggs. Similar to the garter snake and boas, the female's eggs remain inside of her until they are developed and she gives live birth.
Predators and prey are organisms that interrelate, and they can influence on another’s success in reproduction. Predators are organisms that consume other organisms-their prey. These two organisms evolve together. They live in an environment where they must develop certain adaptations to survive. When an adaptation is developed, it gives an organism certain physical characteristics that create an advantage for survival and can come to dominate in a population. An adaptation aids survival by either decreasing a prey's chance of being eaten, or by increasing a predator's chance of obtaining food to survive and reproduce. Predators must fight for food. They face density-independent
A bad credit score can be really detrimental to anyone, but it can be particularly harmful to potential homebuyers. Credit scores range from 300 to 850, and the higher the better. Your credit score is a calculation of a variety of things such as:
After, seeing the black necked stork’s physical appearance’s it may want to make you research more about it. First of all, the family of the Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus is the ciconiidae. The black necked stork is identified by its skeletal structure; it is a bird with a backbone. Next, this bird is known by its outer feather protection and colors. The black necked stork has downy feathers against its body for warmth as well as covert feathers for steering and flying. The black necked stork also has an iridescent neck that shows either a green, purple, or blue color depending on the stork’s angle. In addition, the size of this bird is amazing. The wingspan of the black necked stork is 230 cm. from wing tip to wing tip. The head to body can
Representation of Masculinity the Renaissance Family and Shakespeare's Macbeth Familiarity with Shakespeare's work often leads to awareness to the representation of masculinity, gender roles, and the patriarchal order as these subjects are often greatly reflected in his writing. Renaissance concept of order meant there was a shift from what used to be an Open Lineage Family, to a Restricted Patriarchal Nuclear Family. In turn, Renaissance families saw an increase in obligations to the church and state. Shakespeare (with the use of irony) often played with typical renaissance beliefs and ideologies, giving his work both historical and critical value.
The song “Black Snakes” by A Tribe called Red and Prolific the Rappers explains to the world that the citizens need to stand up and protest to protect the water between North Dakota to Patoka, Illinois. Prolific the Rappers tell the audience that enough is enough with the companies trying to make a pipeline to collect oil. Prolific the Rappers stated in his line, “A black snake with some black tanks (ugh), how much money do these companies need to make? They could drive their product, but they want to save a buck. Already extracted billions when is enough’s enough.”. He raps this lyric to send a message about the Dakota Access pipeline is only letting the company get rich from the oil and they do not care about what the effect will happen
The principal theoretical paradigm in the area of errors is that suggested by Reason (1990). Reason categorizes errors into two forms: ‘mistakes’ that are the outcome of forming an incorrect intent to act, and ‘slips,’ or failures to properly execute a plan. Reason widened the scope of previous error definitions and further differentiated basic types of errors. He further differentiated between violations and mistakes, both are the errors of intent-mistakes emerge from inappropriate aim or incorrect diagnosis of situations. Reason’s theory offers a clear understanding on how
In the ‘Frogs’ and ‘Wasps’ written by the “eminently best” comedian of the fifth century, Aristophanes, we see he utilized humour to exact the important message that Athens is corrupt, and on the verge of chaos. The Athenian audience would expect to be thrust into a world of humour in the City Dionysia, somewhere parallel to their own (e.g. the Athenian jury in the ‘Wasps’, and the failings of the government in ‘Frogs’). It is vital, then, that Aristophanes conveys his political and social views through slapstick, farce, and caricature to interest the audience. This is an important component in both plays as the audience is able to simultaneously accept his diplomatic views whilst being entertained. After all his main point for producing his plays were to produce something with a “little fable, with a moral”.
