Case Study
John Murzyn
March 2,2015.
Summary of case study. Like many other teenage kids, the dream of having to be a cool kid in high school runs through their mind almost daily a few months before high school. Danny wasn’t any different. For many years as Danny had looked forward for the moment that would make him a cool kid. Finally, he got to high school where he could meet all the pretty girls, join the cool clubs, drive to school, and go to parties and dances including prom nights. Most importantly for Danny was making new friends, going to classes and studying hard to make good grades. All of Danny’s imagination would turn out to be a nightmare just three weeks into the new school year. The only things he imagined that came true was going to class and doing homework. He was not invited

Acne, acne vulgaris as it is scientifically known is a disease of the hair follicle on the face, back, and chest or where ever the acne is found. Acne is usually common among teens during puberty. At puberty sebaceous glands attached to the hair follicles are stimulated by circulating male hormones. As the stimulated sebaceous glands increase oil production it predisposes the skin cell to plug the follicular pore. Usually the plug appears as a whitehead that is if it is covered by a layer of skin that is thin. As this process goes on with time the follicle enlarges and may cause the wall to rapture allowing normal skin bacteria and other irritating substances to have access to deep layers of the skin and eventually causing inflammation near the surface of the skin. The inflammation results in a pustule. Deeper inflammation produces a papule which is a pimple. If the inflammation goes very deep it can cause a cyst. Blackhead is not dirt. Blackhead is a mild acne type that has a dark or black surface due to oxidized oil. Pimple is also an acne type which has a
Blackheads are those blocked pores on the skin that have blackened masses of skin debris inside. They are said to be the first stage of acne and form before bacteria invades the pores. A blackhead can develop into a pimple. Several conditions and circumstances can cause blackheads, the most common being oily skin. Luckily, you can treat blackheads with simple steps.http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/71615.php
Let me start off by saying this reading really opened up my eyes. It’s crazy that there is so much that comes into consideration when being apart of a society. High school is a big part of many people’s lives, they need to make it out big in the hallways. This means that people will do anything in their power just to fit in with the “cool kids”. In reality there is such a thing of a higher status and a lower status, but the fact that in high schools it’s a huge problem is sad. When I was in high schools, which wasn’t that long ago, this was a big problem. People needed to have the hottest clothes, shoes, phones, and music, in order to just be recognized. The funny thing is was that, the “nerds” were very high in demand as well. The cool kids wanted to be on their side as
My analysis on the poem, “We Real Cool” on the first read through was how real it became. Even though this poem was quite short, it packed a ton of meaning into a small amount of space. The main purpose I conclude of this poem was how those that go out and party, caring more about what their friends are doing then their school work. These types of people with this mindset is not going to fundamentally help in the long run. So being cool is not all it is cracked up to be and those that want to be “cool” need to realize all the good and bad that come along with it. Not going to class because of deciding not to go is a critical piece of the puzzle to the path of wanting to succeed versus choosing to not succeed. We are all in control of our life to an extent and can make our own choices to create change, it’s what we decide to do with it, that matters.
Daniel had positive and typical high school experience finding joy in sports and academics. Daniel believes that his high school experience is what shaped him today. During his time at school he would spend most of his time with his guy friends. Even though they all had different interests, strengths, played on different sports team they all got along and found it easy to relate to each other.
Cystic acne is a condition that occurs as the result an infection deep in the skin. It causes red, pus-filled bumps to develop on the skin. It typically affects people who are in their teens or early 20s.
They may be described in different ways but basically they are signs of pores clogged with excessive amounts of oil, dead skin cells, fine dust and bacteria. Even though they are dark in color, they are not signs of “dirty” skin; many people who suffer from blackheads on nose and other parts of their faces follow a strict skin care regimen and keep their skin extremely clean.
Most blackheads are caused by natural functions of your skin and body. Teenagers have a great chance to have blackheads, because of blackheads’ preference of teen skin that generates huge hormones to stimulate your skin’s oil glands.
It is sad to see how these teenagers think of themselves as being cool because of the activities they choose to do, when they each see how it is making them live a shorter life and none of them are doing a thing about it. Life is worth more than feeling cool. Proverbs says, “Since they hated knowledge…the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them” (Proverbs 1:29a, 32). The teenagers in “We Real Cool” have an image of their selves as being cool on the outside because of the badly behaved things they are taking part in and want others to think them as being cool. These teenagers want to think that they are cool for doing the things they do, but they know that the destructive life they live will soon be a factor to their deaths. Brooks demonstrates in “We Real Cool” that even though people acknowledge their own behavior and think of themselves as being cool, their destructive ways will be a part of their short lives and none of their coolness will ever matter again.
It has a number of conceivable underlying reasons that result in the formation of many diverse types of pimples. Acne can lead to downheartedness, low self-esteem and blemishing.
If you usually get pimples around your hairline, it's most likely the hair products you use clogging your pores. Make sure not to use too much product trying to get those baby hairs on fleek! Pimples on your forehead usually associate with the digestive system. Our digestive systems have a hard time breaking down processed foods, especially those high in fat. Lay off the bacon cheeseburgers
While all the other children are in school learning, and being; for the most part, obedient and civil youngsters , the seven dropouts “being cool” at the golden shovel in the story “We Real Cool” by Gwendolyn Brooks do not realize the amount of damage their doing to their futures by living the lifestyles they do. The work is a condensed yet concise statement on the recklessness of youth who are like cars without brakes in the frenzy of youth. They do not anticipate an accident awaiting them in their uncontrolled life. They do whatever they perceive to be “real cool,” (1) and this nonchalant uncaring way is the latest “in” thing to do. As they take pride in declaring that they had left school and they “lurk late” (3). Throughout the poem
Blackheads occur due to clogged pores (hair follicles) with sebum, an oily substance produced by the sebaceous glands. Blackheads mainly spread out on the face and nose, which is common among adolescents, especially those with oily skin problem. Blackheads can be called the first stage of
Bacne, or back acne, much like other types of acne. Features skin defects ranging from cases of medium pimples and blackheads to more severe cases, with blisters and even acne cysts. Back Acne does not discriminate against any one age group, sex, ethnicity, or geographic location. Can hit literally anyone.
Acne Vulgaris, otherwise understood as the medical name of acne, is a well-known chronic disorder
Acne is caused by hair follicles being clogged with oil and dead skin cells and from pores and bacteria on our skin. Acne can occur on your face, neck, back, shoulders and chest because these areas of your body have the most oil glands. Acne is most common on the cheeks, about eighty percent of people have cheek acne. Acne can also depend on your diet and what you put on your skin and in your hair. Eating healthy and not putting lots of product on your skin will help prevent acne. Hair gels and fragrances cause hair follicles to clog up with causes acne. Acne was discovered in the 1950s. Antibiotics were taken orally and they beneficially helped.
