I thought the Bill Cosby trial was very interesting. One simple reason why it caught my eye with all those females saying he did rape me 15 years ago and etc. It was sorta of like a train reaction if you understand what I mean. I guess I had never experience what those women went threw but i wonder why the speak up now , why not earlier?. It did surprise me to a point how there was no evidence to make a case. I understand it happened so long ago but I wonder if Bill Cosby had good connection with people in court house. I always think differently because I watch to much crime shows.
Catastrophically, the assassination of Doctor Martin Luther King was devastating. The prosecution built their theory that James Earl Ray was a racist. Luckily, James Earl Ray pled guilty to the murder, so there would be no trial. On April 4, 1968, Doctor King was fatally wounded by a single shot in Memphis, Tennessee while standing on the balcony of his second-story hotel. Subsequently, that evening a Remington .30-06 hunting rifle was found one block away from the Lorraine Motel. Over the next several weeks the prosecution was building their case, which consisted of the rifle, eyewitness reports, and fingerprints on the rifle all pointed to a single assailant, James Earl Ray. Furthermore, James Earl Ray was an escaped convict that was on the
that he had to get surgery and was hospitalized for five days. After that he decided to claim a lawsuit against the school district. His winning of the case send a message to schools everywhere about how LGBTQ bullying cannot be ignored.
In a deposition, Camille Cosby claimed that she never read her husband Bill Cosby’s deposition in 2005, in which he admitted that he gave Quaaludes to women he wanted to have sex with, according to People, March 9, 2016.
These trials make me upset, but at the same time they make me angry. Emmett Till was only fourteen years old, and I can’t believe that Milam and Bryant tortured a child. The thing that makes me more upset that Bryant didn’t even ask his wife if she had any evidence, that proved Emmett Till flirted with her. He could’ve asked her, but I guess he knew he wasn’t going to get punished. Since Bryant and Milam were white, they couldn’t go to the jail because they were accused by blacks. People used technology to make memes comparing Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown to Emmett Till because they were going against the whites. These three were African Americans and their murderers not found guilty. After these types of incidents, it clearly explains
First, the world loved him, and prior to the case, not only the Black Americans. He lived in a white neighborhood and was included in the "white society," he even had friends within the LAPD whom he would go golfing with and to important events. Thus, the world would consider him as the Black Man that succeeded, especially because of his constant appearance on TV and his NFL player status. All that said, of course money was a key factor with such status, and his wealth played a important role in his trail. It was because of his financial condition that he was able to hire a great amount of extremely competent people to his defense team. He had the best lawyers someone could get at the time. Thus, he had the means to make this trial good on his side. He had the advantage of being who he

Bill Cosby gave his deposition about the alleged 1974 sexual assault incident and according to Radar Online, Oct. 10, 2015, it took seven hours, and Gloria Allred is still not finished. She wants to have another go-round with Bill Cosby. Gloria asked Bill a series of questions at an undisclosed place in Boston, Mass, and cameras were rolling the entire time. The meeting started at 9 a.m. and lasted until 4:30 p.m. However, the judge sealed them and everything said during that time, will be released to the public until maybe December 22. At that time, the U.S. Superior Court Judge Craig D. Karlan will review the deposition. The attorneys for both sides will argue why or why not the contents should be released and the judge will then rule on
I was not very fond of some of the surprise witnesses who were interviewed such as Emily Miller. A few of her comments seemed to be a bit discriminatory against black people and she didn’t seem to be a very reliable witness because she continuously said that it was “too dark” to see anything in the car Randall Adams and David Harris were in when the cop was shot but she claimed she saw a man with “bushy hair
Presley, the king of Rock ‘n’ Roll, the influence for hundreds of musicians for decades. He began as a poor young southern boy, but with his unique, unheard of sound, his fame exploded. Girls fawned over his jet black and wild hip movements and parents despised Presley’s “profanity”. From the time he was a child, his talent was eminent and his love was exponential. From growing up with various influences, to finding his style, to his exploding fame and time in the service, Elvis Presley became a household name, and an icon to the world.

Elvis Presley “Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t goin’ to go away”. This was one of Elvis Presley’s quotes. In my essay I will state the three reasons why Elvis Presley was an honorary person. One reason why Elvis Presley is an honorary person is he became an American singer, dancer, and actor.
The OJ Simpson case has been hailed "The Trial of the Century." One of the longest running court trials in history, this case was filled with conspiracy, controversy, and the power of celebrity. The biggest part of the trial was the evidence. The submission of the blood samples, the DNA testing, and the articles of clothing made the case what it was. Amidst all the accusations of planted evidence and conspiracy plans against Simpson, the jury and Judge Ito had to try to sift through and find Simpson guilty or not guilty.
In retrospect, the whole trial was kind of amusing in a sadistic way. A white guy stepped on Patterson’s hand and somehow the incident is Patterson’s fault. He throws a stone in self defense, but in Alabama the principle of self defense only concerns white people. Us black boys were then falsely accused of rape by Miss Bates and Miss Price, but by the “goodness” of the white man, we were then given a “fair trial” by an all white jury.
“I can’t breathe.” A white police officer holds unarmed African American, Eric Garner, in a chokehold for fifteen seconds on the streets of New York City. Ultimately, Garner utters eleven times for the officer to stop before he died of strangulation, only for selling loose cigarettes. Justice is about being fair and equal. Across America, the African American community has been suffocated of their unalienable rights, just like Eric Garner, by prejudices and racism within white police officers.
The trial of Columbus versus the state took place is took place and was a grueling debate of whether or not Columbus was to be sentenced for the crimes that were committed or not to be. As the prosecution continued to charge Columbus the defence continually discredited there arguement because of how they evidently had no proof that Columbus himself was responsible for the crimes committed. At first this made it very interesting as the trail was not just a push over. However very quickly it became boring a repetitive for the jury to watch. Then with the constant yelling of objection it became painstaking long to watch as it seemed like there wasn't even a trail going on. In addition to that the fifteen minute long answer by one of the witnesses was extremely drawn out seeing as no new information was presented except for at the start because of how the witness refused to give a yes or no answer and kept repeating her statement. Although the rest of the trail was pretty well done. Both side of the trail were very well prepared making for the most part an eventful fun to watch. The constant screaming between mostly Mason and James was to say the least very funny and especially with the constant belittlement of James. The reason I voted the way I did was because of how, like I stated before, the evidence brought against Columbus was all
