Sarty’s betrayal is an act of strength because it shows how he develops in the story to finally be able to break free from the bonds of his childhood, and act on his own accord. After Abner was forced to leave town for burning down someone’s barn, Sarty begins to reflect on his father’s behavior before the fire ever happened. His father in a wave of anger had hit Sarty “...divulging nothing to him save the terrible handicap of being young, the light weight of his few years, just heavy enough to prevent his soaring free of the world as it seemed to be ordered but not heavy enough to keep him footed solid in it, to resist it and try to change the course of its events.” (Faulkner, 9) This quotes is suggesting that Sarty feels he is too young to
However, some critics may argue that Father Flynn is actually guilty, and there are numerous reasons that lead to this indication. For example, Father Flynn does express traits of denial and defensiveness throughout the play. While Sister Aloysius is questioning Father Flynn about the incident with Donald, Father Flynn does try to change the subject to other ideas. He changes the subject from the accusation about him and Donald to the Christmas pageant and Sister James’s brother. Additionally, Father Flynn also walks out on some of the meetings with Sister Aloysius because he might be scared to accidentally make a mistake and slip up, which would than rile Sister Aloysius to claim that he molested Donald.
I will be asserting, in this argument, through the quotes and actions of Neo and Agent Smith as well as underlying themes and philosophies throughout the trilogy that, despite what was clearly and repeatedly implied and stated throughout the trilogy Neo is not actually the savior figure in accordance with the Oracle’s prophecy. Or, rather, that Neo may represent the Messiah to the humans in Zion and the Matrix, the “1” respectively. However, Agent Smith, the “0” in the integral anomaly, more fully represent a manifestation of the Oracle’s prophecy than even Neo.

The foremost aspect of chivalry that should be understood is what this code of conduct actually implied for the nobles of the Medieval Ages. When it comes to the concept of chivalry developed during the time of the Crusades in the middle Ages, it began as a code of conduct for the knights.
