Benjamin Franklin is a founding father figure. He was born on January 17, 1706 in Boston Massachusetts. Benjamin has the nickname of Ben, and does not have a middle name. He has had many occupations and they were a statesman, author, librarian, musician, satirist, political activist, editor, diplomat, and lastly an inventor. In the year 1725 he had published his first pamphlet. Ben was named the official printer of Pennsylvania in 1730. He became a Philadelphia’s city council in 1748. On October 6, 1723 he was wet, disheveled, and messy when his future wife (Deborah Read) seen him. She had never imagined that they would get married but they ended up getting married 7 years later. Benjamin had been living with the Read family until he had left for Boston. Deborah had been talking about getting married but Ben did not think he was ready for that kind of commitment.
