Someone that has influenced encouraged and contributed to the Revolutionary War and the United States of America, is none other than Benjamin Franklin. Enough cannot be said about this man, I will touch on his early life, education, politics and his achievements. One of the most well-known historical figures ever, Benjamin Franklin has greatly helped and contributed to American history. His creativeness and intelligence goes beyond compare. He has invented and sacrificed much for this country especially during the Revolutionary War. Without him the world as a whole could not be where it is today. Benjamin Franklin was born in a little house on Milk Street on January 17, 1706, in Boston, Massachusetts. Benjamin Franklin’s parents were Josiah Franklin and Abiah Folger. His father was a native to England; he married twice, and had 17 children. Franklin’s father was a soap and candle maker in Boston, while his mother was a school teacher. Franklin’s mother was from Nantucket Massachusetts the second wife to Josiah. Benjamin was the eighth of ten children of Josiah and Abiah. When Franklin was eight, his farther sent him to Boston Latin School. This public school was designed for the boys regardless of their financial status. Franklins farther wanted him to be a preacher. He then began to have second thoughts about Benjamin’s career. So he pulled him out of the school and sent him to another school that focused more on mathematics and writing.
Out of all of the founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin in my opinion is the one who had the greatest impact on our nation and still has a great influence on our nation today.
