A computer engineer is a very competitive field to be in as well as in high demand. Computer engineering can be anything from cyber security to computer software. This job is one that you never stop learning, things are constantly updating and changing. Ben likes that because he feels that he will never become bored or do the same thing over and over
Choosing the Marine Corps instead of another branch saved me because it brought out the most in me and forced me to become a leader. As an Infantryman, I’ve served with some of the greatest men this country has to offer, most of which coming from the same substandard background as me. My seniors have taught me incredible lessons and I have passed them on to my junior Marines. This is an institution that does nothing less than create hard working, productive, and confident men. Two deployments later I am ready to bring my insight and experiences to a classroom at a prestigious University like Miami. After getting back in the classroom and discovering my passion for economics I am more than excited to pursue a
He initially had no interest at all in nature, but after some adjustments he changed his mind and gained a “relationship” with nature and, he even learned some survival skills along the way. In the beginning of the text, Ben preferred to be indoors making videos, or being a detective or even just watching television rather than being outside like his younger sister Olive. This meant that unlike his sister Ben did not develop any survival skills. This became a problem, when the Silver family were suddenly on the run from the cops and found themselves in a life or death situation. The novel mentions that, ‘wilderness was his enemy”. This was one way of showing that Ben did not like to be outside in nature. Eventually, Ben changes views and he now appreciates and enjoys being outdoors in nature. He even finds peace within the wilderness. The novels says Ben had “missed this placed”. This shows that he has changed tremendously. He has gone from Ben, the being indoors lover, to Ben the Nature loving boy. This was a significant change for the
I have chosen to pursue a career in computer science, because it has been a heavy influence on me throughout my life. All my life I have been surrounded by technology, almost more than half of my family has a career in the IT field, which is what sparked my interest. My earliest memory of when I first became interested was when I was about 6 and my mother bought me a phonics dog, and I was more interested in how it worked rather than what it did. I then saw the screw bolts and knew if I used a screwdriver I could see the inside of the toy so I opened it, and from then on I knew I was interested in technology. In middle school was when I first took my actual dive into the IT world and I learned there are different computer languages, and about different devices used in the tech world. Also I
Early in Benjamin Franklins life, he faced a big challenge that led him to make choices to shape up his influencing character. It shows us that he had to work hard from an early age. This is a big challenge for him because he had to work from an early age along with becoming better academically. Growing up in a big family with so many siblings, he had to take care of himself. His father Josiah worked in a soap factory, along with making candles. Benjamin worked with his father until he was twelve years old, until he started to despise working with his father which made his father look for alternative jobs. Knowing Benjamin and his interest in education and books, his father suggested he worked for his older bother James, who was a printer.
I was indecisive of my future career path. My mom would tell me the classic “You should be a lawyer” or “You should be a doctor.” I would go along with her idea for a couple weeks until I jumped off the bandwagon. I wasn’t passionate about either of those fields; I was interested in both math and science and as a young girl. As I got older, I became invested in technology due to my love of gaming, but I didn’t know that people devote their lives to technology until I interned.

Ben was the youngest son to Robert and Sonya Carson. Ben's father Robert lived a double life with a double family. Once Sonya found out about his double life, Robert left them leaving their family with nothing. Ben, who had anger issues, often got in trouble at school and home. Ben apologized, rushed home, prayed to God, read his Mother's Bible, and became a Christian. Every day Ben and his brother Curtis would have to read a book which gave him the idea of becoming a neurosurgeon.
His early career days were under an apprenticeship with his brother, James. After a while, like any brother would, Ben wanted to have equal power in his brother’s company. James did not appreciate the notion and declined the offer. Benjamin and his sheer determination to be just as good as his brother did not give up there. Eventually, after many requests, James and Ben got into a heated arguement. An argument between siblings further shows how Franklin was living an ordinary life. Since the argument could not be settled, Benjamin ran away from home to avoid further
Wherever ben lived he look to improve the way of life, even through the simplest things. Born into a simple home of sixteen siblings and a candle maker, Ben from an early age learned to be independent and strong willed. His father quickly learned that Ben was not suited for the trade of being a candle maker. Laziness was greatly frowned upon so, Mr. Franklin desperately searched for a tread Ben could apprentice in. After exploring many different options and Mr. Franklin decided to send Ben to England to learn how to print from his Eldest brother.
Born in Colonial Boston in 1706. Ben was 1 of 17 children. His father Josiah, a soap and candle maker, married Abiah Folger, Ben was there 15th child, and last son. Ben earned his primary education at the Boston Latin School where he was enrolled when he was 8 years old. At the age of 10 Ben’s family could no longer afford it. This was his only formal education. Ben became a candle maker with his father, dipping wax and cutting wicks however, this didn’t fire his imagination (3)
As a young child, Benjamin had a rough life, everything was to be dictated to him of what he was to be and exactly how he was to achieve it. When he failed to rise to his brother’s overbearing manner and his father’s impossible standards he left at a young age and set out on his own to do his own thing. Though at times Franklin fell short, he was always picking himself back up and brushing himself to keep going to where he wanted to, setting his own destiny. A lot could be taken from this man, especially how driven he was to be successful despite his father and sibling telling him that it was never going to be
Ben is a member of Flint’s original crew. He was forced to live on the island for three years and survive on his own. He found Flint’s treasure, and then buried it. Trying to keep it away from the pirates that try to capture Jim and Sliver. The pirates think that Ben is unintelligent, but Jim and Silver know that’s he’s really a nice guy who is agile and quite smart. Ben returns with Jim and Sliver and the other crew
I have excellent hand-eye coordination. I’m a very careful person. I am fascinated by the human brain. I loved doing my two rotations in neurosurgery… I believe I would make a great brain surgeon!”(71)This shows only half of his talents to me but what Ben is trying to show people is that it took him a while to find his talent but everyone out there whether it's sports, science etc has a talent, and that you shouldn’t give up just because someone doesn’t acknowledge you for that
