As Alex Knapp wrote about in his article “Five Leadership Lessons from James T. Kirk,” leadership is about constantly learning, encouraging creativity and innovation, working with team members, and understanding the competition in order to lead better and lead to greater places. Knapp observed through Kirk’s actions that the knowledge required to lead is not necessarily all the information that is needed to be an accomplished leader. With the exception of the Steelers who had to deal with the Patriots for a career playoff fourth time, not a one of us thought these high powered offenses would be stopped. To many of us, these teams represented – in the words of Mike and Mike – “stone cold lead pipe locks” and surefire winners for that upcoming Super Bowl season. I mean how many number one defenses have ever shut down number one offenses? The New York Giants defense was ranked seventh in 2007 when they entered the playoffs. The number one ranked Steelers defense couldn’t even handled the Patriots that year. But as it stands, great defenses seem to have a way of cutting great offenses down to size.
D. Incredible Progress Proper representation took quite some time to make its way to the forefront of the comic book industry. It wasn’t always right (like in the mid eighties case of Cisco Ramon as The Vibe,) but sometimes they got it right. One of the first notable Hispanic heroes was unveiled when Marvel introduced White Tiger to the universe in the early 1970s. He was a Puerto Rican man named Hector Ayala, and he was the first Latino superhero to be featured in the Marvel Universe and he was penned by Puerto Rican artist George Perez. He was one of many Latinos involved in creating some incredible content for comics, such as Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso and Joe Quesada.

Batman: one of the most well-known superheroes in history. Created by Bob Kane, this Kevlar-clad vigilante has gained an outstanding fan base since its creation in 1939. We see that this caped crusader was significantly influenced by the Italian Renaissance Inventor, Leonardo Da Vinci. From Da Vinci’s famous inventions to his youthful adventures, Kane used significant moments in Da Vinci’s timeline to capture the essence of the Batman Kane’s creation of the Batman stemmed from his early childhood memories of one of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous flying machines, “The Ornithopter”. Batman is depicted as dark and mysterious and for a while people didn't know whether he was good or evil. Some film techniques used are things like dark lighting and generally low angles. Batman also only really comes out at night to make him more mysterious. To make him darker he only wears black and all his tools and vehicles are black or grey. Gotham City is full of crime and destruction, mainly because of talented true criminal masterminds. There has to be one guy to stop it all, or at least keep the streets safe. That guy would be Batman. Batman is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books. He first appeared in Detective Comics #27, 1939. He is known as a very popular superhero. Infant mortality is and has been an issue for a very long time. It can be defined as the rate of deaths that happen before a child’s first birthday (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2013). A consequence of infant mortality is the mental health of the family that must deal with the death of a child; when one loses a child very early it can be difficult to cope with and the parents might develop depression. There are several risk factors for infant mortality, including congenital abnormalities, being born preterm, having a low birth weight, and lower socioeconomic status of the child’s family. Furthermore, a problem such as this is contingent upon access to health care; third-world countries and impoverished areas might have little to no access to health care, therefore, increasing the risk of complications with a pregnancy. A mother must have prenatal care to support good health for the baby.
