It comes in different forms: Futsal, which can be played indoor or outdoor and on concrete or wood floors. It only consists of 5 players in each team as opposed to 11 in soccer. He knew moving to Spain was going to add more pressure to him and this is where his rivalry with Lionel Messi started. While in Real Madrid, he won one Spanish La Liga, one Copa del Rey, and one Spanish Super Cup. Even though Ronaldo is tall, he has the speed to match with Messi. Since Ronaldo is a two-footer, he can play in both sides of the wings and as a striker and on occasions, midfield. Messi is a center-forward who also plays as a striker and can also play in the wings but not as effective as Ronaldo. Ronaldo’s style is showboating, which shows a variety of ball skills to confuse the defender, while Messi uses his quickness to get past defenders easily for a quick goal. Putting the speed and quickness aside, Ronaldo is more deadly during set pieces. He is known for his quick and powerful free kicks outside the box that doesn’t give goalkeepers a chance. He is also taller than Messi so he has more threat during corner kicks because he can jump high and hit powerful headers. There are few similarities between Ronaldo and Messi. First is they play in the same league, Spanish La Liga. They have acquired the same awards in European football such us the Ballon d’Or (European Player of The Year before merging to FIFA Ballon d’Or), European Golden Shoe, UEFA Club Footballer of the Year, Spanish La Liga’s Top Scorer, and is now competing for the 2013 FIFA Ballon d’Or. Athletes who play football share the same goal as athletes who play soccer: score the most goals to win the game. In football, there are two areas on opposite sides of the field where one can score points by bringing the football over the goal line. Soccer shares this same concept by having two nets on opposite sides of the field where one can score a point by kicking the soccer ball into the net. Also, both sports share the concept of having an offense and defense, and both sports each have eleven players on a team on the field at a time. These are only few of many similarities between these two sports, but in actuality, they are significantly different. The rules, rituals, and concepts of both sports distinguish
According to the article from The Boston Globe, Josh Goldenburg, a student at Boston University, suffers from double vision and balance problems after jumping out of his house when an unexpected fire started. Universities in the Boston area don’t provide enough on-campus housing for the amount of students they accept, leading to terrible off-campus living conditions. Students are living with sometimes up to 12 people, making the houses overcrowded and living in closed off front porches and dining rooms. The owners of the house make rent very expensive because they know the kids don’t have anywhere else to live. A lot of the houses haven’t had inspections in years, causing the houses to have dangerous safety hazards and in cases like Goldenburg’s,
Football and soccer have made their impact in different parts of the world. Football is mostly played in the USA. In England they play a game like football, but it’s different in prospective, which is called RUGBY. Though people are more likely to get destructive injury, soccer is popular all over the world. It’s not possible to find a single country, which hasn’t played soccer or at least heard about it. Mostly in Europe and South America, people are passionate about soccer. Though football is mostly played in the USA, it has a lot of influence among the fans and spectators. Every year, football fans organize a multi-billion dollar tournament known as NFL with all the states of the USA. Fans travel from states to states to watch their team performing. Similarly, soccer also has a tournament like that, but it is more huge and considered as a world tournament. Soccer fans organize that biggest tournament each and every four year with only the qualified nations of the world. Each nation has to go through a qualifying process to play in that huge tournament known as WORLD CUP. Other than that, there are a lot of premier league championships pretty much in every continent (Compare

Soccer, the greatest game in the world with 3.5 billion fans (8), is very pleasurable to play and watch. However, there is more to the game than kicking a ball into a goal. Known as football to many around the world, soccer is an inexpensive and enjoyable sport that most third-world countries, as well as millions of Americans play. Soccer which was not always called soccer in an entertaining sport.
Another reason that Messi is better than Ronaldo is that he has more and better trophies than Ronaldo. Cristiano Ronaldo has won 3 European Golden Boot Awards, But Messi has won 4 of those awards. The European Golden Boot Award is an association football award presented
Lionel Messi is arguably the greatest soccer player to ever live. His amazing goal-scoring ability has put him on heights players can only dream of. The way he dribbles past his opponents with ease brings fear to his upcoming defenders. Since his spell at FC Barcelona and the Argentinian national team, he has broken and set many world records countless of times, many of which being his own. The little Argentinian is nothing like our world has ever seen and is already considered to be a legend, despite his career not even near it’s end. Millions of fans across the globe idolise him for his extraordinary skill and dream to follow in his footsteps. He plays every game as if it were his last, and brings every spectator to their feet. GOOOOAAAALLLL!! OLE OLE! These are the common chants you will hear at a soccer match. Usually the announcer will yell goal until he runs out of breath and the fans of each team will yell out chants to cheer on their teams. This shows the spirit of soccer and the impact it has many lives.
Soccer is a popular sport played all over the world. Even though it has only been popular in the United States for the past 30 years, soccer has been a long time favorite most everywhere else. The sport dates back to the Egyptians, who played games involving the kicking of a ball. Now, the sport has grown to a global pastime, including men’s and women’s teams, and the World Cup (which is played every four years).
Cristiano Ronaldo scores far more goals with his head, not afraid to go in where it hurts. He manages to apply great power to his headers and undoubtly is always going to be more effective in the air than Messi. This is due to the fact that Ronaldo stands at 6'1" while Lionel Messi stands at 5'6 ½". Messi scored the memorable second goal against Manchester United, one of England's best teams, in the 2009 Champions league final with his head. But that was the exception to the rule. Most of "La Pulga Atomica’s" (The Atomic Flea) goals come from his left foot. Lionel Messi has become a lethal intruder in the goalkeeper's area. If someone were to tell you that they've seen him gently push in 40 goals with one-touch kicks inside the goalkeeper's area the past two years, they wouldn't be exaggerating. When the play needs collected finishing, Lionel is right there to lightly push it home every time.
After Cristiano’s spell in Manchester, he made a record setting transfer to Real Madrid in 2009. He was ready for a change and stated that he wants to play a different style of football and face a new challenge. Striving to be the greatest, Cristiano set out to Spain looking to break new records and pick up his second Ballon D’or after winning it the first time that previous year. This chapter in his life brought him head to head with his rival Lionel Messi, who is also a contender for the Player of the Year Award. In fact, Messi went on to win the award 4 consecutive years after Ronaldo picked it up for the first time. This fueled Ronaldo do impeccable things on the football pitch. He set club and league records in 2014, just 5 years after arriving in Madrid. He became the all-time leading goal scorer for his club and the player with the most hat-tricks in the history of the league. This helped him to win the Ballon D’or for the 2nd time in 2013 and to him it was the most meaningful award yet.

To Cristiano's fortune Manchester United was in dire need of a midfielder after superstar David Beckhman left to play for Real Madrid. The void created by Beckham was huge and Manchester United had to fill it up with a superstar who could take them to the promised land. After a lot of speculation and drama surrounding the replacement, Manchester United finally signed Cristiano Ronaldo after his stint with Sporting CP ended in 2003.From the very day Cristiano signed with Manchester United, his football career took off and hasn't slowed since. In the same year he also made his debut for the national team of Portugal playing in a match against Kazakhstan. In the following year, Ronaldo put up one of his best performances. In the World Cup qualifying games the superstar midfielder scored 7 goals and made his presence felt in the Portuguese national team. Only a year later in 2005, Cristiano Ronaldo netted 11 goals for his country in 25 appearances. Although the up and coming superstar was making waves in the international football stage, controversy hit in the 2006 World Cup and it involved someone that was closely linked to him at his club Manchester United.
Football and soccer have never been really compared before, probably because alot of people think they dont have many similarities. But they actually have alot more in common that people think they do. Having played both sports myself i can tell you that they are very different in varius ways, but also very alike. It depends in what aspects you look at it that you can see differences or similarites. Off field soccer and football share different backgrounds. On field comparisons are never talked about but they actually have somre similarities. Yes football is more of a contact sport, and soccer more of a technique sport. But football does have technique as well, and soccer contact.
