Avigdor Lieberman was not born in Israel. He was born in Moldova on June 5, 1958. Avigdor became a political leader by starting a political party called Yisrael Beiteinu(Israel is our home) but was most influential during his time as Foreign Minister. Avigdor Lieberman started out believing only in violence but changed his views a bit to try and make peace.
In 1999 Lieberman established a new political party named Yisrael Beiteinu. The party started off slow but turned into the third largest party in Israel mostly because of the joining of Russian immigrants. He ran for many political positions but was known for his political positions as Foreign Minister. Lieberman had a strong hatred of the Arabs. On March 2,2002, after a terrorist attack, Lieberman responded by saying, “If I was in charge, I would warn the Arabs that by 10:00 am they should expect to be bombed. Secondly, by the Arabs, he was been called racist on several occasions. Lieberman said if anyone from the Arab Knesset that met with any Hamas leaders ought to be tried for treason. He also tried to convince people to relocate Arab-Israeli towns such as Umm-Al-Fahm out of Israel. After another terrorist attack he was interviewed and said he would gladly donate Arabs to Abu Mazen, meaning he would ethnically cleanse Israel. Although Lieberman was known for his infamous violence, he attempted to make peace. The peace treaty would give Arabs land in Israel but very little. Only 15 percent of the Arabs were willing to give up violence to take the land Lieberman promised. Again after trying to make peace with the Arabs he was called
As a little boy, Michael moved to Lodi when he was 3 years old. His parents found a big house that was just enough to fit 6 family members. The Wilson’s lived close to an elementary school named “Washington School,” that 3 of the 4 children attended. 16 years ago, Lodi was mostly an Italian town that wasn’t diverse when it came to the school system. Jesse Helms, a Senator from North Carolina from 1973 to 2003, is the most contemporary of this collection of political villains. Called “the last prominent unabashed white racist politician in this country” by the Washington Post, Helms never apologized for his racism, and showcased it for his whole career. But his racist statements were largely for political benefit. He dealt far more serious damage to the cause of gay rights, and was something of an arch-nemesis to the gay community during his tenure.
Eventually Tammany Hall’s grip over New York City plummeted when Fiorello LaGuardia became Mayor in 1933. LaGuardia had been an outspoken critic of the prohibition of alcohol, but he was passionate about enforcing illegal gambling laws. At that time, New York City’s slot machines generated roughly $180 million a year in profits for the mob, but under LaGuardia’s direction the NYPD confiscated thousands of slot machines. In fact, he once held a press conference as he threw several of the “mechanical pickpockets” in the Atlantic Ocean. LaGuardia took such a strong stance against gambling that he managed to have pinball machines banned. As a result, New York police officers confiscated and destroyed over 3,000 pinball machines. Again, he held

Washington D.C was an outstanding experience. It was a very frigid day in November. When we arrived we were all shivering in our boots. The first museum we went to was the Holocaust Museum. The Museum was very depressing. One of the exhibits that was the most depressing were the shoes of the victims who didn't survive the Holocaust. I didn't remember what the quote but it was deep .

Imagine, just for a moment, that you are young Asher Lev, son of Rivkeh and Aryeh Lev, two highly respected members in the Jewish community. Pretend you were born with an extraordinary talent, one which you deem an incredible and intriguing gift, and think of how you would feel if your talent were ridiculed by those who you love and respect the most, because your gift is "foolishness from the other side". Would you throw away every trace of your talent and be the studious child that everyone wants you to be and focus on school and your religious responsibilities? Or would you continue to let your gift shine? For young Asher Lev, this decision was incredibly difficult.

Beethoven once said, “Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of a woman.” I find this quote to be very true because many of Shapiro’s pieces that I have listened to has made me feel many emotions. A good composer will fill ears with music, but, a great composer will fill hearts with music. According to a 2010 interview, an interview asked Shapiro “what kind of composer are you?” and she replied “a wonderful composer!” I love her enthusiasm and sense of humor; Shapiro later followed up her response to that question and stated that she is a heartfelt composer, who writes in all genres and styles. Alex Shapiro was born in New York City in 1962, and she was brought up in Manhattan. She moved to Los Angeles in 1983, where she stayed for 24 years. Shapiro studied at The Juilliard School and The Manhattan School of Music, in fact, that is where she realized she loved composing acoustic and electroacoustic music (“Landscape Music”). Although Alex Shapiro is not as well known as some composers, she still has a great musical history, and she is still hard at work with new projects.
