Tell us what you know about Atlas Lift Tech. Atlas Lift Tech collaborates and works with health professionals at hospitals and other healthcare environments to provide safe handling of patients. The California Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1973, Section 6403.5 (AB 1136) requires that employers must provide safety devices necessary to ensure employee and patient safety. Atlas Lift Tech offers programs that manage safe patient handling and mobility to decrease the risk of employee and patient injuries. Since nurses have the highest rate of back injuries, lift coaches help alleviate this problem by coaching workers on how to use lift machines, such as Golvo and Viking Lifts. Atlas Lift Tech also promotes teamwork when handling and transporting patients. Are you in school/training or wait listed for another position? Please provide details. For example, Excel Test Prep had a situation where there were not enough keys to hand out to teachers, proctors, and custodians for their three locations. I was constantly sent to make copies of keys, but keys would eventually become lost and were never returned on time to give to the next staff member. Therefore, I proposed, in order to solve this problem of handing out keys, a system that can provide PIN codes to each staff member so we can note when and who opened the office at what location. The system I found was an IP Access Control that allowed my directors to open the door wherever they are, create individualized PIN codes for new hires, and keep track on when staff members enter and leave the
I completed my adult nursing degree. I began my nursing career in 2014 in primary care as a community nurse. I have continuously undertaken courses to improve my skill and knowledge in caring for patients. This has empowered me to deliver holistic evidence based care to patients in the community. I have continued to professionally update my practice and have developed comprehensive portfolio.
I currently work at The Queen's Medical Center - Punchbowl Campus, working the night shift as a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry RN with the Float Pool. After being out of school and currently practicing as a bedside RN for over 12 years (and as a retired Army Nurse), I've decided to go back to school to broaden my knowledge in nursing (theory and research). Upon completion of this program, I hope that it'll help open up other nursing career opportunities that were not available to me as an Associate Degree RN. While waiting for this program to start, I've also completed several courses in Healthcare Administration; hopefully, the combination of these two programs/degree may also open up other opportunities in the administrative portion of the healthcare industry.

Nurse practitioners are nurses with advanced training and education who are able to perform tasks done by doctors. I yearn to earn a master’s degree in nursing to have an advanced education. I intend to work in a hospital to help numerous patients. Throughout my four years in high school, I have always aspired to be the best by maintaining a 3.8 grade point average. With substantial knowledge, I will be an outstanding nurse. My vision as a nurse is allowing arrant communication between a patient and a health advisor by translating for those who are only able to speak Spanish.
My chosen career is a registered nurse with a specialty in neonatal medicine. I am very passionate about helping others and learning how the human body all works together as a coordinated system. Currently I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) where I assist elderly residents with tasks that vary from getting dressed to making sure they are as comfortable as possible. While I thoroughly enjoy working with all of the residents at the nursing home, I am ready for a new challenge. I would like to gain more knowledge in order to help even more people with a wide variety of issues. I am interested to see what it takes to move up the career ladder in the nursing field. As well as what to expect as far as education requirements, salary, and the outlook of nursing jobs. In order to learn more about registered nursing I have scheduled an interview with Stacy Helmuth, a registered nurse at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work in the medical field. From performing imaginary check ups on my community of dolls as a child to watching medical television shows, being able to enter the workforce with the skills to start a nursing career has been my most desired goal from a young age. When it comes to achieving that goal, hard work, dedication, and my lifelong passion for pursuing nursing will get me where I need to be in order to successfully complete Davenport University’s Nursing Program.
