The accomplishment that I think that sparked the most realization in me is the Atlas program I was accepted into last year. Atlas means Adirondack Teen Leadership and Services. With Atlas it made me learn team building skills and how to work with people I didn´t know. Atlas also made me realize how much I like helping people. When we did our community service project at the nursing home I loved it so much because we were helping by earning money to buy christmas gifts for all the residents, we wrapped the present and baked cookies for all the staff. It was so much fun just to help the nursing home because most people just ignore the people. Atlas pushed me out of my comfort zone it made me learn more leadership skills and not to be as shy as
My most meaningful accomplishment is finding my inner leader and learning to believe in myself. For many years I was extremely shy and I let this deter me from enjoying activities outside my comfort zone. Growing up I never really believed enough in myself to find my leadership abilities. It was not until early in my college career that I began to truly see my potential. My freshman year of college I began to open myself up to the possibilities around me by joining clubs on campus and making connections with those around me. The one organization that truly changed my outlook forever was Phi Beta Chi National Sorority. Within my sisterhood I began to open up and see myself as the leader I knew I could be. Once I had this new found outlook I
My proudest professional accomplishment would be with my current internship at Centaurus Financial. It was originally advertised as a 400 hour unpaid internship where I would be working in their operations department. I worked all summer unpaid and had to pick up a second job in order to help pay my bills. After completing 400 hours, I spoke with my manager about quitting my other job in order to work more and was offered a paid position which allowed me gain even more valuable experience in the financial world.
An accomplishment that set my life forward and taught me multiple traits and allowed my character to develop would have to be when I set out, got a job, and saved up enough money to buy my first car. It was a summer I'll always remember. After my sophomore year of high school I set out during the summer and got a job at Glidden Fence Company. I was nervous not working at all previous to working at Glidden and started wondering whether I had gotten too far ahead of myself. I was assigned to a three man crew and started my career as a fence builder, the crew leader was super nice to me and guided me in every step as I began to learn how to do it myself. So long story short I threw myself into a foreign environment unaware of what the
My most meaningful accomplishment in the last few years is the work that I did as Social Chair of my sorority. When I was offered the position, I knew there would be stress from becoming the sole representative of my sorority to the rest of Greek life and other organizations. However, I greatly underestimated the stress of being the bridge between my organization and others. I pushed myself to see my position through and felt a huge sense of accomplishment after I was done and able to see the work that I was able to do. I would measure my success by comparing the work of other social chairs to what I was able to accomplish. Not only did I look at past social chairs within my organization, but I also sought out other social chairs for other
Every individual has accomplished achievements that they will always cherish. Whether the achievement is minimum or maximum , the significance of the triumph is of utmost importance to them. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is when I was blessed with opportunity to be picked as NASH student and observe the different physicians who helped with giving birth to the newborns. In those few seconds I realize that my passion is to become an OB Nurse Practitioner.
An accomplishment or event that marked my transition from childhood to adulthood When I joined forensics this was a huge accomplishment for me because I was scared of public speaking and my coach got me to join. The category I did every year was Prose, which means it is small cutout of a book that is read out of a binder and you have to put emotion and small hand gestures into your presentation. After the first year I didn’t get very good scores but I kept going and now I love public speaking. When I was in 7th grade my friend wanted me to join a club or sport with her
If I could tell about the time I accomplished something greater than I could have on my own was when I finally was able to do my middle split. At first, it was really hard for me to do a middle split because my body is so stiff and I barely stretch in a Dailey basic. So, I joined dance team in my freshman year of high school and my coaches make us stretch Dailey for our warm up. Each I stretch from the warm up, I was able to gain flexibility. One day, I finally was able to do my middle split. My coaches were so proud of me as they see me grow and improve on my flexibility. That's the day I felt so alive and proud of what I accomplish. This experience make me learn that anything is possible as long as you work hard for it, and I also learn to
An accomplishment I am proud of relates to my first year in high school football. The school I went to I started off not knowing nobody besides a few people. My first day of practice I was not this big guy or had this football player image that everyone imagined, so everyone looked over me as just another bench player. Walking into our first meeting I saw a guy standing there and he looked like a senior with arms as big as thors. The first thought that came to my mind was looks like im not starting this year. As practices went on both players and coaches saw my talent and knew I had something to give to the team so the head coach made me a head captain, which only two people could have those spots, of the team and gave me a starting spot. Everyones
As I sit here and contemplate what accomplishments I have achieved over my life span I can't particularly pick one defining moment out of the many I have. You see when most people think " accomplishment," the thought that comes to mind is that the accomplishment has to be something big, substantial. Now for the most part I agree with that theory, but in that case I've never accomplished anything monumental. I mean what makes an accomplishment an accomplishment is that it took effort and perseverance right? In that case I've accomplished a lot I accomplish things on a daily basis. Waking up this morning was a huge accomplishment for me today being that I only got four hours of sleep. I can accomplish things all day, but the big accomplishments as you call them I don't really consider accomplishments, getting into National Honors a Society was an "accomplishment" by your definition but to me that was just a result done by hard work that paid off. I know I'm hard worker and a good student, but getting into National Honors Society wasn't a task or chore, but a expected result.
My accomplishment isn't a huge success to another but let me tell you something this actually changed my life around for the good. It surprised me in a way that it was just a small piece of paper saying honor roll can change me around. Yes the thing that changed my life was my first ever honor roll in middle school. Most people don't think the little things in life matter or even make a difference but yes they do.
Accomplishments in my life have really given me a new understanding for myself and others and allowed for personal growth. One accomplishment has provoked this growth: being inducted into the National Honor Society. The society helps me to think differently about other people and learn of ways I could become a better person. This experience has shown me the importance of hard work, never giving up, social interaction, and helping others.
What defines an accomplishment? Is it the worth of it in monetary, emotional, or personal standards? Personally a great accomplishment of mine was self-improvement in both body and mind. I had a problem with my weight and mental stability. I am diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety and I do not take any medication for it. Therefore I have learned over the years on how to control my anxiety and calm myself down. My weight gain began when I was in 4th grade, I started the habit of bingeing and it resulted in a troubled metabolic system. My greatest accomplishment has been my new lifestyle that has mitigated my physical and mental problems through health routines, training, and reading.
My greatest accomplishment thus far, has been getting high grades in college. Accomplishing this required: patience, dedication, tenacity, stamina, and confidence. It took patience because there were long hours that were dedicated to homework and studying. It took dedication because I had to continually tell myself that it would be worth it, even when it was difficult. It took tenacity because I knew that I couldn't accept anything less than my best. It took stamina because there were a lot of late nights and just a lot of time in general to complete everything that was required of me. Lastly, it took confidence because if I didn't believe that I could, it would have made it a million times harder.
Something that I think I have accomplished this year is my improvements on my benchmarks, literature, and nonfiction overall scores. I have improved my scores on all those subject by about twenty percent each. I would say that is an accomplishment for this year.
My second milestone is when Allah gave me my first daughter. I started realizing that I had to balance between my life and work, which made me
