What makes me different from many other athlete? My high determination, effort, and my motivation is makes me different. Every since I started playing football I have always been determined to be the best I can be. I always have been one the last person to leave practice, because I work with underclassmen on technique to help get them better along with myself. I always try to find ways to get better as person and as a athlete.
Why I play football? I play football for many reasons. The main reason why play football is because my oldest brother. My oldest brother has autism and cannot really say much. Every since the eighth grade, my brother have he always said, “ Kerpink is going to play college football in 2017.” When he says it he repeats
Imagine being member of a football team on the field while the crowd is cheering for their favorite team. You are probably wondering, “WOW, I never thought that I will be part of this team.” Football is not for everyone and being part of a football team does not mean that you are going to be in the spotlight. A person can learn much from playing football. Football teaches strength, discipline, and how to be a team player.
I always wanted to be in the National Football League (NFL). I wanted people to come to every game and say hey this kid has been through a lot to get here. I love playing football because I love being aggressive and physical always something to do and work on. My dad is the one who got me into football and inspired me to join a tackle football team.
“It’s the sport of Kings, better than diamond rings…..football…..football.” (LL Cool J, 1986). All across the country, football, both college and professional, has its own cult-like following. Fans of both leagues eagerly anticipate kick-off whether it is on Saturday, for college football fans, or Sunday, for professional football fans. An additional fix is available for college football fans on Thursday. Professional fans get their extra dose on Monday nights. Admittedly, there are many similarities among the National Collegiate Football Association (NCAA) and the National Football League (NFL). Both have extremely loyal, boisterous, and diehard fans. Both play four quarters and the players try their best to get the ball across the goal line. Although there are more similarities in how the game is played, it is the differences that will have respective fans insisting one is better than the other. Differences, such as the two-minute warning, the knee-down rule, and over time, distinguish the professional from the collegiate player (See Table 1).
I do not see a big difference between a college football player and a NFL football player, they both play their hearts out on the field, have jerseys with their names or numbers on them sold online or in stores, thousands of fans come out to see both of them, have their games televised on national TV. The only difference is that the NFL player is getting pay millions and the college athlete is doing it for free. My cousin, Skal Labissiere is one of the most sought after high school basketball player in the country, coming from Haiti after the earthquake quickly jumped into the basketball scene and made a name for himself. He committed to the University of Kentucky, like I said Kentucky like “one-and-done” players meaning he is already projected
Proper traing and proper equipment is very important in football and this report will be on the history of football and equpment you should wear.Football is a very physical sport, and it’s difficult to imagine this game being played with no equipment. Even while wearing equipment, playing this game has resulted in many injuries. But over the years the game of football has become more safe. In fact, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission 418,260 football injuries were treated in emergency rooms in 2006.
Have you ever wondered the difference between high school football and the NFL? Well there are a lot of different sequences to it. For example the NFL is played and a much higher level of intensity. While high school football is played for fun and competitively it also is trying to teach the basics too. While both still play with 11 men on the field the concept of the game is still the same too.
I feel that college and professional sports share some of the same categories, college is just on a smaller scale than professional. Some of the expenses that both college and professional sports have in common are; travel, salaries, athletic scholarships (college), and facilities just to mention a few. The coaches’ salaries, especially football and basketball head coaches, has become one of the biggest issues in the last few years. These salaries create the largest expense acquired by most athletics programs. They average from $200,000 up. There should be a limitations set by the board as to how much they are paid. Same goes for professional sports. In my opinion, some professional players are over-paid. Although they are great at what
SMU became the University of the death penalty because they were cheating and using money to get top high school football athletes. That is against the rules of the NCAA for a short period of time they have gotten away with it but finally got caught when former football players came out and speak on the matter to the media. Which they made it public and the NCAA had to take charge and punish SMU for their actions. Which lead to the death penalty and for future football athletes they had to suffer from the death penalty. Overall, the players did not have to take the money but most did and it cost scholarships, being ban from bowl games, and no home games in 1987.
Here's why kids under 12 should play football because football can give kids physical activity, teamworks skills, and social skills. Here's why kids should play football, they are getting good physical activity and possible even more than kids who play other sports. Football is a high demand sport due to having to use almost every muscle in their body every play especially if they are on the line because they have to use their arms and feet (sehgal 1). That's due to them not only running around but they are doing so while carrying around 10 extra
Although this had started with a few professional football players. It has grown in popularity in both the NFL football and high school football arenas. For example, Miami Dolphins Jelani Jenkins, Arian Foster, Michael Thomas and Kenny Stills are now kneeling. This team has also gotten a huge supporter; it is the team owner Stephen Ross. Ross says that he believes they mean no disrespect towards the people in the military nor the police force, but they are standing up for something that is very important to this country.
Branch stated "We are imposing amateurism on these students". I think this is very important because it makes it clear what is really going on in the world of collegiate athletics. Athletes are not given a choice, they are told what to do and how to do it; with no option to object. Before some rules came into play really talented athletes went straight to the professional level without going to college. Now athletes have to go to college for at least one year or so depending on the sport they play. This in turn helps bring in the millions of dollars for the schools. So why can't the athletes that make this all possible receive some form of compensation?
Football is and will forever be my favorite sport. Football is my favorite sport because ive This is a sport that will take some time to excel in, but if you follow the steps of becoming a football player you should do well. I've worked so hard over the years and I have to say after all the years i've been playing football, I have became a pretty good player if i say so myself. Most people think that professional football is dangerous because of the risk , and most people think professional football is not dangerous because the football players know the risks, so they think they should be able to play football if they would like to.
American society has many different types’ sports from all around the world. For example, the main two contemporary sports are basketball and football. Both sports require people, a ball, and open area to play in. However, these two sports are played differently. By comparing and contrasting basketball and football, we can examine them in terms of how they’re played, the amount of people in each teams, and the location the sports are being played in.
