All of my expenses for this campaign are covered. I will make a personal contribution of $10,000 towards my campaign and I will not have to take out a loan as I will be getting funding through donations and fundraising events. I will host a fundraising dinner and will invite various individuals who will make financial contributions to my campaign. I will also accept donations from supporters of my campaign through a donation page on my website. Marketing: The strategies that I will utilize to promote my campaign are social media advertisements, television advertisements, radio advertisements and a website. I will pay to advertise my campaign on platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. It will help my campaign reach our target voter demographic and promote my campaign platform, as social media is widely used by many adults. For example, I will have my campaign commercial run as a YouTube advertisement, as 90% of 18-24-year-olds use the platform in Canada. As for Facebook, in Ontario, 82% of 35-44-year-olds use the service and 60% of 18-34-year-olds use Instagram. I will also be promoting my campaign on many Toronto television networks, such as CP24 and CTV news. Radio stations that will also be running my advertisements on are 99.9 Virgin Radio and 98.1 CHFI. Traffic and road congestion is a big issue in Toronto. In such a large city, residents rely on the roads to get where they need to go. This issue is especially significant during morning and evening rush hour when people are commuting to and from work. Commuting along the busiest Toronto roadways can add an average of 36 minutes to an already 60-minute commute, which costs the residents of the city in both wasted time and wasted fuel. To address this issue and help traffic move quicker and more efficiently in the city I will implement smart traffic signals at major roadways, open shoulder lanes during peak hours and move non-emergency roadwork to off-peak
Worldwide vehicular traffic has increased by 3.6% in the last year alone. With over a billion motorized “units” occupying our roadways, traffic is a number one topic. Whether we personally contribute to the growing number, or not we are nonetheless effected by it.
Partnered with the Bronx Health Reach Coalition to promote awareness and education of the #NOT62 Campaign for a Healthy Bronx targeted at improving the health status of the Bronx. Bronx County was ranked last out of 62 NY counties by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s County Health Ranking Report. This report measured health factors that contribute to individual health, such as Health Behaviors, Clinical Care, Social and Economic Factors and Physical Environment.
Traffic in downtown Austin, Texas is becoming a sever issue and is continuing to become slower and more congested every day. Austin ranks 4th on a list of U.S. cities with the least efficient roadways, and with its remarkable growth rate, the issue can only get worse. After reading numerous articles based on opinions and statements from local city planners and engineers, the best way to see an improvement in the traffic issue is to increase the amount of public transportation in the Austin area. The increase of public transportation would provide fast travel time and would help reduce the amount of money, commuters and locals use on gas by a substantial amount per year. Though many may argue the that we have enough public transportation already, reducing the number of personal vehicles on the road would decrease the amount of bumper to bumper traffic experienced on a daily basis, as well as increase the options for those commuting to the city every day. there are many possible solutions, such as widening the highways or even building them underground, these solutions however are not the most economically correct and productive way to relieve traffic downtown.
Recently American Eagle’s lingerie brand, Aerie, completely changed their advertising campaign to AerieReal. The AerieReal campaign consists of only un-retouched and no Photoshopped models. Before the AerieReal campaign, Aerie used models that were retouched and Photoshopped to make the models appear skinner and “more attractive”. The AerieReal campaign’s focus is to defy what other lingerie brands, such as Victoria’s Secret, sell in their advertisements. Aerie is trying to challenge the message of true beauty is only if you are skinny by saying that “The real you is sexy”. Aerie is accomplishing this by changing their advertisements in the hopes that girls will grow up to be socialized with a more positive and inclusive message, defy gender roles associated with women, and lastly, confront stereotypes of white and colored women.
The social media campaigns of the Canadian Federal Political Parties (Liberal, Conservative, and NDP) have been compared to one another in an attempt to understand their choices made to persuade audiences to take part in actively addressing and supporting their campaigns. Concepts discussed throughout this course have been applied to the three varying campaigns, including attention, earned media, branding, spreadability, intended audience, tone, navigation, and participation. These aspects have been prominent in all three social media campaigns and thus, have been chosen for this case analysis.
Since 1952, television has played a major role in presidential elections. Television allows candidates to reach a broad number of people, and personalities, to help push along their campaigns. Campaigns help the candidates just as much as the voters. The candidates get to be identified, and known to the voters, and the voters get to hear and see how a specific candidate identifies with their needs and wants. The best way to get this information out there is through the most used form of media, television.
I will be hiring the campaign treasurer. The first thing I plan to do to raise money is by advertising my campaign and its strategies. To get the fund
“The communication program will target whom, to help them understand, believe, or do what, by informing them of messages, through messengers and channels, to result in objectives” (Cheesebro, T., O’Connor, L., & Rios, F., 2010, Ch. 5). The objective of utilizing the campaign method would reach out the larger population through possibly multiple different media methods, instead of just one or two. When considering using different types of media and which ones to include and exclude when communicating through media, it is important to consider the advantages and disadvantages of traditional, electronic, and social media.
In order to raise money for the campaign, I would first find the interest groups who share same idea as I do that they also agree upon about one specific
Methods of campaigning include print and electronic media, mail, door-to-door, speeches, and phone calls. The most expensive type of campaigning, however, is media ads. This includes television, radio, and print ads. These are also likely the most effective ways to get publicity.
Lawn signs, television advertisements, billboards, and political rallies are some of the key components of a successful political campaign. A political campaign is an organized effort which seeks to influence the democratic public that is voting for its elected officials. These seemingly trifling parts of a campaign cost money. Money equals power, is the political mantra in today’s society. Campaigning can cost millions of dollars, and it is logical to believe that only those with the means have the ability to participate in the race for leadership. In a democratic society such as ours, every person has the right to vote and stand up for what they believe is right. Every person, from Donald Trump to the regular middle class citizen,
This quote reminds me of the patronage system, where jobs and promotions are awarded for political reasons rather than for merit or competence. In this system, working in a congressional campaign, making large donations, and having the right connections helped citizens secure jobs with the government. Members of large corporations and wealthy donors donate thousands of dollars to be granted some fancy title on the ALEC hierarchy. By using their high socioeconomic status, these workers of major and wealthy corporations are attempting to exert their influence on the processes ALEC takes part in. These corporate members and wealthy sponsors are literally buying their influence. And for what? A title? I am unsure as to what these “chairman level” sponsors even contribute to ALEC’s legislative process. Do these corporate representatives buy these titles to have an influence, or just to say that their corporation is involved in ALEC and stands firmly on the economic principles ALEC represents?
Following the protest camp action in late July, KMU Chair Elmer Labog stated via email that the campaign was one of several mass uprisings across the country that month, largely driven by frustration with dismal wages, the exploitation of precarious subcontracted workers and pervasive state violence under martial
Opening your own business is a huge risk. Owner Kim Nguyen launch her dream business, Yaourt, in 2012. Ever since she was a child in Vietnam, Nguyen dreamed of opening an ice cream shop. The opportunity to make her dream a reality presented itself shortly after she completed her MBA at the Ohio State University when a frozen yogurt store owned closed close to her home. Nguyen, who also hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemical engineering, took the leap and purchased the closed store, naming it Yaourt, the French word for yogurt.
