In France, the Armee Juive (Jewish Army) was established in 1942 and led by Abrahm Polonski, Eugénie Polonski, Lucien Lublin, David Knout, and Ariadna Scriabina. They had organized escape routes to Spain and in 1943-1944, they had smuggled about 300 Jews out of France (Dirkdeklein, 2017). The military leaders of the Armee Juive trained young partisns in Toulouse, Nice, Lyon, and Grenoble. They would also recruit partisans who trained in weaponry, military tactics, and discipline (Zuccotti, 1999). Also in France, the Organisation Juive de Combat (Jewish Fighting Organization)

A mysterious and strange malady arrives in the small American town of Abida which can be found on an island off the coast of the New England region. The island is somewhat isolated, most political matters are handled locally between it's people, this is due to the islands history. The people of Abida are the final result of successful human amalgamation between slave and owner with many of which who still holds on to their eccentric ancestral beliefs that revolve around "the old ways". This causes many to rarely visit or leave the island and as a consequence Abida is flung into a realm of enigma lying beyond the fringes of the New Englander's conscience. If the hypothetical country, inequiland, has a HDI of .75 and a GII of .50, that means they are a high developing country, but they have a high GII which means that there is very little gender equality. Since it is a high developing country, that means that they have made significant advances in social, political, and environmental progress. They have pretty good health care and a long average life span, and there is significantly better educational opportunities than lower developing countries. However, since they have a high GII, they have not made significant advances in equality. This means that they do not have women in parliament, a high adolescent birth rate, and a high women labour force participation rate. Gender equality is very important
August 15, 2013, is the date that I will remember forever. Whenever I see that date, I always have flashbacks of my childhood memories, such as whining to the teachers about having too much homework, or have to take the classes that I did not get to pick during my middle school years. August 15,2013 made me realized that one day I will have to go through the the face of an adult sooner or later. I will have to face the hardships that my parents went through for our family. I have stepped into the world of the reality.

According to Child Rescue Network, over 2,100 child abduction cases are reported each day in the United States. This amounts to a total of 766, 500 cases in a single year and in over 50% of the cases, the child kidnaped, shows signs of sexual abuse from their perpetrators when they are rescued. In 1991, an 11 year-old girl, Jaycee Dugard, happened to be one of these 2,100 cases. Phillip and Nancy Garrido stole Jaycee from her California home and kept her as a prisoner. While many thought it would be a short case, Jaycee’s case lasted for 18 years. Jaycee’s also showed multiple signs of sexual abuse when she was finally able to travel back home. At age 14, she gave birth to Phillip’s daughter, and in 3 more years, birthed his second daughter.
The atlatl is an ancient paleolithic tool used as a lever to lengthen the distance that a dart can be thrown, compared to using just an arm. But does an atlatl really lengthen how far a dart travels compared to throwing the dart by hand? Based on accumulated information, the hypothesis was: If an atlatl is used to throw a dart, then it will lengthen the distance that the dart will travel compared to throwing it by hand. This is because the atlatl is a lever that acts as another joint of the arm, increasing both the leverage, force, and energy of a throw. To test this, I created an atlatl using a wooden branch with a spur sticking out of it, paracord, a rock, tape, a bamboo stick, duct tape, knife, and a saw. I carved the wooden branch to

In the United States, starting salaries for teachers who have completed a four-year degree are far lower compared to many other professions, which also require a four-year degree. In most states, teachers must undergo testing and other rigorous certification requirements, but they are given the same consideration or status as beginning professionals in other areas. Although attractive incentives are offered, the compensation does not compare to the long hours of work and schooling required for a teaching career.
