So far the US has sent around 5,600 trainers, commandos and troops to aid in the fight against ISIS. However more troops are needed, ISIS currently has around 22,000 fighters and even with some local fighters backing the US there are not enough combatants to beat ISIS. The US and other North Atlantic Treaty Organization(NATO) nations need to send more ground troops, trainers and commandos to Iraq in order to beat ISIS. These troops are necessary send a message to our troops and the world, liberate Mosul and neutralize ISIS so that the organization can not continue to expand and attack us at home.
The US needs to send troops to Iraq in order to send a message to our troops and the world. As Mr. Barack Obama said "If this Congress is serious about winning this war, and wants to send a message to our troops and the world, authorize the use of military force against ISIL,” Obama wants congress to allow the US to send ground troops to Iraq in large numbers. By doing this congress would allow the full might of the

Sending troops to Iraq is necessary to liberate Mosul and deal a lasting blow to ISIS. Col. Steve Warren, the spokesman for the American military in Baghdad stated "The reason we need new trainers or additional trainers is because that's really the next step in generating the amount of combat power needed to liberate Mosul." By sending more troops to Iraq we can liberate Mosul which is currently the biggest city ISIS holds. By liberating Mosul we would also liberate hundreds of thousands of citizens who live within the city limits. Liberating Mosul also gives us a city that we can defend and use on the edge of ISIS held territory. However “Pentagon officials have concluded that hundreds more trainers, advisers and commandos from the United States and its allies will need to be sent to Iraq and Syria in the coming months” to retake this Iraq
The function of the military forces for the United States has had no choice but to evolve as wars wax and wane. As the rise of militant terrorist groups became a threat to the United States and its allies, the armed forces of the United States were deployed by the President to countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq. Instability in these countries threatened bordering allies, and after September 11, 2001, the threat was brought to U.S. soil. Each president from Clinton to Obama has had to shape the policy of how the armed forces fit into civil-military policies abroad and overseas. In a war time environment, such as Iraq, the purpose of how the military should be deployed is easier to clearly state. But in times when there is no imminent threat, it is much more difficult to transition

America spends over 650 billion dollars a year on having the most technologically advanced military in the world. Much of this money comes straight from U.S. taxpayer dollars. But there is one major problem in our military; the number of troops enlisting is dropping from previous years. With terrorist groups like ISIS, this is a bad time for numbers of soldiers to drop. The country needs more soldiers to keep freedom, and remain the powerhouse of the world. Without troops, our country might not be what it should be.
The scary reality of the war on Iraq is something all Americans face today, the reality being, what happens if we do not have enough soldiers to continue all of the projects that the United States have already started. Does America have enough troops for what they are doing? Can America afford to tell people when they leave the military, thanks and we wish the best for you with civilian life, or should they be fighting to keep them as long as possible? America spend the money to keep the soldiers employed and across the waters to keep the promises made to make Iraq a democratic country? America needs to continue their fight, even if it means to maintain solders longer then they once
While relatively unknown in its early years, the terrorist organization known as ISIL, or the
Symbol of Sin In Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter, the use of a torturous scaffold symbolizes sin and redemption. In Hawthorne’s novel, the afflicting scaffold is present in three scenes throughout the story. The first scene occurs during the introduction of the novel, where Hester Prynne is given time on the structure in return for her sinful crime of adultery.
In recent months, the United States accompanied with several allies have been forging a fight against ISIS in Iraqi and Syria. The allied troops have been extremely successful in wreaking havoc against the enemy–killing ISIS fighters, reducing ISIS cash flow, and causing the group to abandon a large portion of their controlled areas. There are approximately 5,000 American troops at any given time in these territories and President Obama wants and intends to deploy more. The United States should not send more troops to fight against ISIS because, we were just involved in the Iraqi War, home soil will be left vulnerable, and intervening doesn't always lead to benefit.
On April 18, 2016, in Iraq, President Obama sent 10,000 troops along with several Apache attack helicopters. One reason president Obama sent troops to Bagdad, Iraq is because he wanted to show a series of measurements that will broaden the US military campaign against extremist groups. He hopes by the end of the year that the troops will take control of Mosul, an area in Iraq occupied by ISIS. A military official went to the UAE to offer them these Apache helicopters. The UAE declined this offer because they wanted the operation to be stealthy and be in small units. So all of the helicopters stations there were flown back into U.S. territory. The pentagon is happy that the UAE at least took the troops because now the U.S. government has more
For example, we have 40,000 troops stationed in Japan and 54,000 in Germany to respond to various threats that may arise in those theaters. With the Middle East being a much more volatile region than Europe or even eastern Asia, U.S. military commanders recommended keeping 20,000 troops in Iraq. But according to Fred Kagan, a military historian and former adviser to both former President George W. Bush and military commander General David Petraeus, Obama rejected that idea (usatoday.com 2014).
For the past few years, the terrorist group ISIS has made headlines around the world with their acts of terror and rapid spread. Naturally, people all over the Earth have called for the obliteration of ISIS, and many have looked to the US for action. The question that prevails the most: should the US put soldiers in Syria to try and directly destroy this radical terrorist group? The safest, most reliable answer is an emphatic no, the US should not put "boots on the ground" against ISIS.
The issue between ISIS and their allies as well as the United States and their allies is a tough issue to master. Obviously, people want to see the most minimal amount of casualties as possible. On the other hand, the United States and their allies want to see this group of extremist stopped from their dangerous measures. Because of this feel of urgency when it comes to destroying these extremists, some think the fastest way is to send in an army, but yet they do not want casualties. The other issue that the United States has to face when dealing with this issue, is vengeance. ISIS and their allies have vowed to bring America and their allies to their knees, this is not something that American can take lightly. These groups have proven
I stated earlier in my paper that the use of ground forces is essentially obsolete in 2017, and the United States should make it a greater priority to utilize other resources to engage in combat. With my predictions of what the United States national defense policy will be like based on what I have learned from experts in the field, ground forces will be a thing of the past. When we were asked what Harvard professor Nathan Tarcov would do in confronting ISIS, I said the exact same thing. Tarcov would recommend to the current administration to not send significant ground forces. There is no clear principle of action for the United States military in confronting ISIS, much less the war on terror as a whole. No matter how many insurgents you take
As of present, the state of Iraq is plagued with a myriad of problems, each of which must be taken into consideration when determining the best possible course of action for the United States. First, previous interventions, particularly those conducted by the United States, in Iraq must be considered in order to understand how a particular course of action in the current dilemma might play out. While the United States has played a role in Iraqi coups throughout the 20th century and assisting the Kurdish population in the north, the most decisive interventions began with the Persian Gulf War. The second is the 2003 invasion and occupation of Iraq, and the third is the American-led intervention in Iraq against ISIS which is ongoing.
Action at this time is being done with Congressional approval as President Obama recognized that Congressional approval would heighten his power. Military personnel already in Iraq are to be used in advisory positions only. While this has helped Iraqi forces, ISIL is still gaining territory and growing in members. New action needs to be taken to improve the situation in Iraq and surrounding countries while eliminating ISIL.
Like every mental illness, there is no definitive evidence concerning the etiology of manic-depression, also known as bipolar disorder. The disorder is characterized by alternating periods of depression and mania and occurs in 1% of the population. The depressive episodes can range in severity from dysthymia to major depressive episodes. The major depressive episodes are classified as periods of at least two weeks in length during which sadness, lethargy, insomnia or excessive sleep, increase or decrease in appetite, hopelessness, and suicidal ideation or suicide attempts are present. Dysthymia is the milder form of depression, during which suicidal ideation and attempts are not present. Manic
