Those on the Left, including the Clintons and Obama, have been accused of using the IRS as their personal “Gestapo”, attacking individuals and groups that are opposed to their agenda. Joseph Farah, WND Editor, reported in a 1999 article that the Clintons used the IRS as a “secret police agency – the go-to guys when no other punishment will do.” “During Clinton’s term in office, IRS audits were conducted against individuals and groups who caused problems for the administration. Several prominent conservative groups found themselves facing IRS audits, following their criticism of the president and his policies. Could Obama have learned these nefarious tactics from the Clintons? Hillary Clinton was his Secretary of State after all, so the scenario is not farfetched. If elected President, will she resort to the same IRS game plan as her husband and Obama? The IRS scandal targeted conservative groups who were applying for tax exempt status, many of which were outright, unjustly denied. Some experienced a lengthy waiting period before hearing back. We aren’t talking about waiting for weeks - we’re talking about months, and sometimes well over a year. The period this occurred was prior to the 2012 elections. Many of these conservative groups were associated with the Tea Party. The problem lies with how the IRS scandal has been handled by the current administration. While most of us may think that they should be cooperative and seeking a quick resolution to the embarrassment of yet another scandal, that has not been the case.
