I believe the new school should district should be named based on where the school district is located. The schools colors and mascot should assosiate with the schools name and location. The school name is Richwoods High School. Their mascot is a dragon! Richwoods colors are navy blue and yellow.
I think that the name of the new school should be Richwoods High School. Richwoods Middle and Elementary Schools are in Washington County, but the High School would be in Jefferson Country. In each class, their was about 15-20 people. Lonedell also has a middle and elementary with about 75 kids in each class. Those kids could come over to Richwoods High school. It is only about 15 minutes between Lonedell Middle School and Richwoods Middle School.
First the name should be Northeast for the new school district. It should be called Northeast because of where the location of the new school will be. And also because it is a simple just a simple name that wouldn’t be hard to forget.
As of recent the district is putting its finishing touches on its 2011 198.5 million bond. The district is home to twenty-two elementary schools, six intermediate schools, six middle schools, and five high schools. Also included in those facilities are one career and technology campus and an alternative education campus. MISD features a unique campus naming policy. For example, all the elementary campuses are named after historical Mansfield figures. Each campus is currently moving towards the implementation of using mobile technology in the classroom. Despite its history MISD is also one of the most diverse districts in
schools, a middle school for grades through six through eight and a high school for grades nine
I believe the name of the new school being built should be named after a local important historical figure in our community. I believe that's the best way to name it because alumni of our previous school would appreciate us keeping the school name local, which could possibly inspire them to donate us money to help build up our school. I believe the mascot should stay relatively similar to the one of our old school because, we all still live in the same community so why not have a similar mascot.
When the new school gets opened and operating the new principal should strive for better academic achievements at the new school. The two schools, being two parts of one student body,
THank you for your and Kent's support of Austin Kids First the past 2 election cycles. As you probably know there are 2 contested races for Austin ISD school board. Austin Kids First PAC has decided to endorse in only one of those 2 races, becuase the candidates in the other race didn't meet our minimum quality bar. In the at-large race we are strong supporters of Cindy Anderson. She has the experience, background knowledge and passion required to effectively serve on the board.
The provision of resources to handicapped children is subject to a wide variety of federal and state laws and statutes. However, due the varied and spectacular range of disabilities and combination of disabilities it is often difficult to easily decide who should receive benefits and who should not. Often debated both within the court system, and without, is the subject of whether the child with a severe disability can actually benefit from the services and resources being allocated to that student. Timothy W. V. Rochester School District addresses just that issue referred to as “Zero Reject.”
Medomak Valley High School, located in Waldoboro, ME, is the only high school in Maine School Administrative District #40 and serves students from Friendship, Waldoboro, Warren, Washington, and Union in midcoast Maine. For decades, the school district had two middle schools - A.D. Gray Middle School, which served students from Friendship and Waldoboro, and D.R. Gaul Middle School, which served students from Warren, Washington, and Union. In the fall of 2008, the year I started at Medomak Valley High School, the district opened Medomak Middle School to serve all seventh and eighth grade students in the district and closed A.D. Gray Middle School and D.R. Gaul Middle School. The new middle school was built at the Medomak Valley High
The community leaders should ask if the children are safe as they attend school, how effective is the transportation and travel to the school. Are there jobs and resources for the students after they graduate from school?
In the United States, public schools get their funding from their respective state. As a student, it can be seen as concerning when one compares how much states spend on their schools. Many schools are inadequate in both an aspect of safety and effectiveness of the learning environment. As a result of inadequate subsidy across America, schools resort to taking drastic measures. Not only are the unequal sources of subsidy a difficulty, but the concept and execution of budget cuts also exacerbate the issue. In order to give every student in America equal opportunities for success, funding should be controlled by the federal government with a policy that enforces equity rather than equality. This is also a viable option that could be carried
“Where are they taking me, mom?! Help!” These were the screams of an Aboriginal child when he was dragged to a car that drove him away from his family. Aboriginal kids were forcefully abducted and placed at poorly built and equipped residential schools. Residential schools are a network of boarding schools for Indigenous peoples. Like a disease, these schools spread so fast on Canadian land. They were every Indigenous child’s nightmare. Kids who attended were traumatized due to the mental, physical, and sexual abuse they suffered. Canadians felt superior to Aboriginals which lead them to use their power excessively to civilize these communities. This issue is considered to be one of the darkest chapters in Canadian history. It has a significant impact on Aboriginal communities. Indians suffered a loss of culture and identity. This issue violates various human rights such as; Freedom of language, freedom of culture and religion, freedom of choice, and the freedom of safety and health. The two groups in this controversy are the aggressors; Canadian government, and it’s churches, and the victims; the aboriginals. The question is, is the Canadian government doing enough to make it up to those who suffered the ill effects of residential schools?
The Kickapoo seventh-graders cleaned up along the roads to help keep our environment clean on Friday, 27th, 2018.
As you are well aware, the elementary school you now administer, Andrew Jackson Elementary, is being renovated and expanded. As a member of the community, I’m writing to you that the name of the school should be up for reconsideration. I believe it’s an opportunity while the school is being redeveloped, that the name of the school should be instead renamed Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary.
We teachers have been working at the Grand Rapids Ellington Academy of Arts and Technology (GREAAT) a charter school in Grand Rapids Michigan owned and operated by GREAAT Schools Inc. (GSI), founded by gospel singer Marvin L. Sapp. During our time we were underpaid and understaffed. Most of the teachers planned and taught at least four different classes per semester with minimal supplies, with no curriculum, and placed in broken down modular classrooms. The 2016/2017 school year was their last year, after existing for just five years, as Lake Superior State University chose not to renew the charter for the school. As a result seventeen teachers were left to find new employment, but were promised the rest of their salary to be paid monthly through
“Without Common Core we (America) are not where we want or need to be.” The New York Times reported this in August, 2013. Currently, every state sets its own curriculum for its schools. The result is that the United States ranks “25th in math, 17th in science, and 14th in reading compared to students in 27 industrialized countries.” Without national standards, students depend upon the luck of where they were born or schooled to get a comprehensive education that will prepare them for life. If the United States is
