Sanders tells us that climate change is much more than america can just fix by itself, it is something that we need to get a bunch of countries around the world involved in especially the major countries that contribute to the air pollution, such as china where they are experiencing many medical problems due to the awful air pollution. He also states that we need to find a new mean of energy besides using thing that release bad chemical in the sair that destroy the ozone of the only planet we are able to live on as of the moment. Suggestions have been made that we should move toward natural resources such as wind or water.
All these reasons listed above and many more are all reasons on why i would want Sanders to be president over the other candidates. He sees the better view for our country and the people who live inside, not only that but he wants to better the entire world as
Bernie Sanders is currently running for Presidency on the Democratic side. Before entering the world of politics, Sanders joined the Civil rights movement. While attending the University of Chicago, he became a part of the Congress of Racial Inequality (CORE). Sanders actually took part in a sit-in against the separation of off-campus housing. Sanders started his Political career as the Senator of Burlington, Vermont in 1981. With the support of the Progressive Coalition, he was elected mayor of Burlington later on that year, winning by just 12 votes. After being reelected as mayor 3 more times, he was a self proclaimed "democratic socialist". Sanders became a part of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1990. Through this title, he vocalized his opinions on various matters. He often times
Bernie Sanders is a senator, politician, and political activist. He has held several different political offices including Mayor of Burlington, Vermont, and a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Economically, Sanders describes himself as a democratic socialist. Throughout his political career, Sanders has considered himself an independent, but during the 2016 presidential election, he ran as a democratic candidate. According to several polls, Bernie Sanders was considered the most popular senator in 2015 and 2016. Even after losing the 2016 presidential election, he encouraged his supporters to continue the "political revolution" that his campaign started in the country.
A vote for Bernie Sanders is a vote for free education, reasonably paying jobs, and universal healthcare. [I need to add another sentence right here]. There are many reasons why Bernie Sanders is the best candidate for president based on his policies on college, jobs, and healthcare.
Senator Bernie Sanders should be next President of the United States. He boasts a long and successful political track record. He was a Senator from 2007-2018 and a Representative from 1991-2006, making him the longest serving independent in U.S. congressional history. He has been involved in Civil Rights issues his entire career. He has fought determinedly for working families, focusing on the disappearing middle class and income inequality. The United States should elect Bernie Sanders as the next President of the United States because he takes action on climate change, he fights for working families, and he wants to restore integrity to the political system by taking “big money” out of politics.
Bernie Sanders has a reasonable, and simple approach to solving the issue of immigration. Sanders has a large variety of solutions, that aren’t unreasonable. He wants to make it easier to get citizenship, and attain a visa. Also, create more fair trade policies. Finally, by making it easier for families to get into the country all together, and be less discriminated against. These ideas should work, and be fair. However, there are some opposing views.
Bernie Sanders is socialist but is written down as a independent which is a big turnoff for most people. When people think of socialist they think of Lenin, Castro, and Stalin who were not the most pleasant of people. Sanders totally different then all of them though. First off he’s Jewish and these people don't seem Jewish. Second off he has not killed anybody like the people listed. And third is he has modern and past democratic views. He is a supporter of gay marriage and abortion which is modern democratic views. He wants the minimum wage raised which has been an ongoing fight for many years with republicans and democrats fighting over it. One more thing he's done is trying to reach out to our younger generation who is voting for the first time. In a New York Times article entitled “The Socialist Senator”, he visited South Burlington High School where he answer some question to some 6o kids. This is what you want in a president, who speaks at schools and answer question for them. In another New York Times Article, he states, “Doctors have told me about patients who died because they put off their medical visits until it was too late”(Sanders, 3). This proves a point that he does not want people to die. Now we can disagree that Sanders should or should not be president but what we can most definitely agree on is we don't want people to
The 2016 Presidential Campaign candidate, Bernie Sanders, believes in creating a better America. In proving to the American people, rich and poor, how great the country can be if all people vote for who is trusted best as future President of the United States. The political figures in government care about money and wealth, not the people. Bernard Sanders would be the best choice for President for the main reason that he is concerned about the issues in America that create inequality for the people. The issues addressed by this candidate will create social and economic equality.
Bernie Sanders has proven himself a champion of the middle class since his humble beginnings in 1981 as mayor of Burlington, Vermont. Once he became active in office as a member of the Senate in November 2006, Senator Sanders began breaking grounds to help provide “affordable housing, progressive taxation, environmental protection, child care,” and women’s equality. Now that he has officially began his campaign in the 2016 presidential race, Senator Sanders is discussing his ideologies that he believes will help the American people overcome many commonly-encountered obstacles.
Over the last few years, education has become more of a priority and crime has become more of an issue. Kids are dropping out of school and more people are going to jail each and every day. Our country needs a president that makes sure these topics are taken care of effectively. That person is Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders should be the next president of the United States of America.
Strictly speaking, here are more facts to explain why Bernie Sanders is a great candidate for president. With that there are a couple fun facts about Mr.
The egalitarian crusader of equal education has made this one of his main platforms in the race for the 2016 Presidential Election, running against big names like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. He is an unorthodox choice, but has become a contender in the race to the White House. Sanders fights for civil rights and challenges the status quo against big-money and Wall Street, making him a likable underdog.
Bernie Sanders is a son of an immigrant and has realized that the vast majority of Americans at one point stemmed from immigration. It is the fundamental belief that the U.S. has a better opportunity for all people. His proactive plan includes a path to citizenship for eleven million undocumented Americans, a future policy to uphold our country’s beliefs, and to balance trade agreements Thousands of people immigrated through Angel Island, “ 22 million immigrants entered the country through Ellis Island and the Port of New York,” (“How Many Immigrants”) and eleven million undocumented people from the U.S.’s southern border have entered the country illegally. Sanders stands for equality for all Americans, not only the ones with papers. This candidate stands for an America that takes pride in caring for thy neighbor and being a haven for the oppressed. Bernie Sanders stands with us, not against us.
I chose Bernie sanders as the candidate that I would vote for. A couple of issues that I care about that Sanders also stands for are healthcare for all and same-sex marriage. Sanders position on everyone being able to have healthcare is supportive. In an interview with Ezra Klein of Vox, Sanders responded with, “Health care, to my mind, is a right of all people. That's what I believe. I think every man, woman, and child is entitled to health care”(1). He believes that healthcare should not be something that we have to qualify and fight for but that it should be our right to have good healthcare. He made a point by saying that despite having the affordable care act, we still have so many people that are still uninsured and underinsured while our country is paying almost double what any other nation faces (2). Sanders is for healthcare for all because he believes it’s our right to it despite our income and not be discriminated against for reasons such as our gender or previous health issues. He believes we shouldn’t be discriminated against just because we might have had a health issue that the insurance companies consider a higher risk of needing help later, which would mean
Why not get what America’s been waiting for? There are seven candidates and only one can give America what it needs. Vote for Sanders to help give America what it deserves. Bernie Sanders should be president because he wants to provide free tuition for all public colleges. He also wants to provide health care to all Americans and raise the minimum wage for the lower and middle class.
Bernie Sanders is the best presidential candidate because many of his ideas are common sense, he is effective, and he stands up for civil and minority rights more than other candidates.
