Nearly all medicines have toxic, potentially lethal effects. But marijuana is not such a substance. This is why On November 8th 2016, citizens of California voted to pass “Proposition 64”, which made it legal to grow marijuana for personal use, yet It is not until January 1,2018 that marijuana would be legal for recreational use. Now, The federal government should do the same. The reason it is truly necessary to legalize marijuana is because it boosts the economy, creates jobs, lessens the chronic pain associated with many illnesses, is a safer adult alternative to most painkillers and it is less dangerous than other substances that are legal today (Alcohol, Painkillers). We believe that if a law should be created to mandate marijuana it should
Growing up, I’ve always been taught that drugs are bad, and my parents have always told me that there is nothing good to them. I remember taking D.A.R.E in fifth grade, learning how marijuana was bad for you and that you should go to jail if you use it. My teachers and parents were my role models though, so I took in everything they told me as a fact, until now. Now I realize that drugs are a good thing. Drugs are a way of life, and they are used by millions of people everyday. There are drugs such as advil, which is used to help patients who suffer from many things, including headaches and fevers. But the drug i’m talking about is marijuana.
When is comes to marijuana many U.S citizens have mixed emotions on this topic. The people who are all for it, argue that it would have a great impact on health such as medical marijuana and a tremendous boost in our economy. The opposing side thinks that marijuana can lead into health issues as well as many teens being omitted to the E.R for the marijuana use. Which levaes you with something to think about, Should Marijuana be legalized on a Federal level?
Marijuana has been used in religious ceremonies or for medical purposes for thousands of years. I have always been against the use of Marijuana up until four years ago when my husband at the age of twenty seven underwent invasive surgery on his knee and has never been the same since. Colorado took a huge step several years ago legalizing marijuana for medical use and in recent years took the plunge to legalize it for recreational use. Marijuana is not always a bad thing nor is it always a good thing. A lot of people will compare it to any other mind altering substance and have very valid points. I would rather have a loved one or myself smoke marijuana or ingest it, instead of popping pain pills or other harmful substances put on the market by the pharmaceutical industry; Recreational use can be safe and accepting if it is regulated correctly and used responsibly.
The idea of marijuana as a medicinal has been a very controversial topic but the reality of it the benefits greatly out way the risked if used responsibly by the right people and should be legal to help these people. Currently cannabis is being use in some states in the U.S. as a cheaper and possibly more effective method of treatment compare to off the shelf pharmaceuticals. Many professors would agree with such a statement such as Lester Grinspoon, MD, Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School when he wrote an article published in the Boston Globe: "Doctors and nurses have seen that for many patients, cannabis is more useful, less toxic, and less expensive than the conventional medicines prescribed for diverse syndromes
My goal is to prosway you to follow in my belief that marijuana should be for recreational uses, but with restrictions like alcohol and tobacco
The big argument is if marijuana should be prohibited to human use. If so, which form and to what circumstance? Marijuana is becoming legal all over. states are already legalizing it for recreational use. more than half the states have legalized it for medical purposes. Hemp has been being used for years in human history to make long lasting things. some of the first paper was made from hemp in egypt .
“I wasn’t supposed to be smoking weed but it easy to get ahold of and harmless. So it was more of a ‘why not?’ situation,” Daiga said. While Daiga was growing up, her parents and some of their friends smoked very openly around her. She knew that marijuana was illegal, but she never viewed it as a bad thing.
Marijuana, one of the most notorious illegal drugs worldwide. One of the black markets best sellers, one of America’s favorite topic. Though there’s limited research on the health benefits on consuming Cannabis, There are many proven facts that it causes many positive responses to people with health problems. The medical community supports it as a potential medicine, doctors have even started proscribing it. Marijuana should be legal across the country for health benefits.
Marijuana should be legal because it doesn't do that much harm compared to tobacco and alcohol. It also is helpful to people with terminal illnesses. However; Marijuana could be considered a gateway drug. It could lead to doing drugs such as crack and other hard drugs.
Many people ask the question should marijuana be legalized. Some people think it should be some people not as much. There are four reason marijuana should be legal . One reason marijuana should be legal because it can help our economy grow. Since Colorado legalized marijuana it has created 18,005 full time jobs and about 2.4 billion dollars to the economy last year. Colorado will also be saving 12-40 million dollars simply by ending arrest for marijuana possession. Thats a lot of money that can be saved and use on other things, like getting schools new book, giving hospital more up to date equipment or just making more homeless shelters. So if marijuana became legal it wouldn't just be a good thing for all marijuana smokers but it would also be good for the kids, people in hospital and the homeless people. With the increase of money coming through the state jobs might begin to raising minimum wage. Who wouldn't want to get pay more money exactly nobody everybody want some extra money in their pocket to treat themselves their kids or just that
Should marijuana stay legal? In my opinion marijuana has its good effects and bad. It treats migraines, prevents Alzheimer's, prevents seizures, it calms Tourette's and ocd. But it has short-term effects including High, euphoria
Since 2017, there have been a recorded amount of 29 states (including Washington D.C.) that have passed legislation that allows for marijuana possession to certain limits. Starting with Alaska in 1998 to West Virginia in 2017, data courtesy from procon.org records.

The legalising marijuana debate has been a hot topic at the moment, lighting up the public's interest. Cannabis, or marijuana as well as a number of other names is derived from the cannabis plant and has uses in medicine as well as a psychoactive drug. The primary psychoactive part of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. There are a number of convincing arguments as to why cannabis should be legalised. It has medicinal uses for conditions such as seizures and epilepsy. The legalisation of marijuana has led to a boost in the economy for states and countries that have legalised it, and the criminalisation of marijuana used racial discrimination as a weapon in the war on drugs and the criminalisation of marijuana still disadvantages minority groups today.
As more states are considering the legalization of marijuana many people are worried about all the potential dangers marijuana brings. However, researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder have found that alcohol consumption remains to be far more dangerous than marijuana. Alcohol Consumption has been found to have long term damage with the brains white and gray matter where as marijuana seems to have no long term effect on white and gray matter within the brain. Researches also point out that there is little agreement on how marijuana effects the brain so the “dangers” of marijuana is flawed. Where as with alcohol there is a lot of constancy in what is discovered the the dangers are in fact true and very real.
