Arapaho Trib

I chose to research the Ponca Indian Tribe because they started out in the midwest, and currently still live in Nebraska. The 4 elements I have elected to write about are the social organizations, their customs and traditions, language, and the forms of government involved with the Ponca Indian Tribe.

In addition, each group was descended from a very large and powerful tribe that had occupied their land before them. The Mississippi River tribes of the 1400s were descended from the powerful tribe of Cahokia, or the mound-builders. When Cahokia began to decline in the 1350s (possibly due to climate change, more specifically a sudden drop in temperature), the group formed subdivisions with different leaders who fought for power over the large tribe. Eventually, many of these subgroups moved to different parts of the river with their families and a few others, forming small villages of 500 to 2,000 people. The result was many Mississippi River tribes living near each other, but not necessarily in harmony with each other. Though these groups would trade with each other and were not openly hostile, they never managed to regain the unity that the Cahokia tribe had possessed, and that the Pueblo had as well. The unity of the Pueblo tribes is due at least in part to the powerful tribe that existed before them, as well. While the Cahokia devolved into many separate tribes, creating a power struggle that fractured the formerly strong tribe into several small rival tribes, the group who had occupied the land where the Pueblos lived, the Anasazi, seemed to have abandoned their home entirely. So when the Pueblo began to move in, they could start from scratch and grow together. They had no history with each other, and so could form mutually beneficial relationships without the prejudices held by the former members of the Cahokia tribe. Though the Pueblo people were subdivided into many different tribes, the tribes were on good terms and stayed connected through a variety of factors, leading to a more developed sense of unity than the Mississippi River Valley tribes

In Canadian history there are many famous people. In my mind Terry Fox is a real Canadian hero. He is a role model to everyone because he didn’t give up.

The Plains Indians were Arapaho, Blackfoot, Cheyenne, Kiowa, and Sioux were nomads who migrated across the grasslands from Mississippi to the Rocky Mountains and Canada down to Mexico. The plains Indians depended on buffalo and the white hunters threatened their means for survival.

The Apaches, like most Native Americans, have no written history other than that written by white men. But the story of the Apaches did not begin in the American Southwest but in the northwestern corner of North America, the western Subarctic region of Alaska and Canada. The Apache Indians belong to the southern branch of the Athabascan group, whose languages constitute a large family, with speakers in Alaska, western Canada, and American Southwest. The fact that the Apaches originated in the western mountainous Subarctic region makes their nomadic behavior after the arrival in the American Southwest more comprehensible; the tribes of the Southwest were highly mobile and moved from place to place depending on availability of food. Last but not least, the Anasazi is also important to the history of American Indians before the European invasion. By 750, the Anasazi built the house that it was raised earth before and it this included the famous "rock Palace”, which was Important places of worship. The Anasazi settled in the Grand Canyon of Colorado in the sixth Century. However, they suddenly abandoned their homes and moved to other areas and never returned.

Who really are the Cheyenne Indians? According to historians, they were Indian people who became nomadic and moved to the Great Plains in the 18th century (Berkin 366). Another tribe, the Souix, developed the name of "people of a different language" for the Cheyenne. Some people said that the Cheyenne did not exist until the mid-1600s or at least this is when the earliest known records were found. They are one of the most famous and prominent Plains tribes, too.

The last clan of the Lenape Indians is called the Unalachtigo clan or the turkey tribe. Unalachtigo roughly translates to “the people near the ocean”. They are the southernmost tribe

a sampling or collection of opinions on a subject, taken from either a selected or a random group of persons, as for the purpose of analysis. Polls are very useful in giving information to the general public, or larger groups and associations that make the poll. Polls also raise awareness about the topic, and or to give the public knowledge about the certain topic or question the poll is asking. Sometimes or at the present time, most of the times polls are twisted and manipulated to have opinions from only certain people who agree with the poll . This report will break down and will show in depth all positive and negative aspects of polls.

I sprinted onto the field to the noise of the most raucous crowd I had ever seen or heard at Dickinson Stadium, home of the Newton North Tigers. The occasion was not a playoff game, a clash of two of the state’s best teams, or even a rivalry game. It was the school’s one “Friday Night Lights” or “FNL” game for the season. Even on a cold October night against a weak Framingham squad, the allure of FNL drew more fans than any other game. Football games always gave me an adrenaline rush, but that night was another level, it was as though there was a bubble around the Newton North campus, all the problems of the outside world were forgotten. There was only this game, this atmosphere, this moment. When I went into the game for the first time, I was both the most nervous and most excited I had been all season.

Located at the base of Mt. Fuji, Aokigahara is perhaps the most infamous forest in all of Japan.“Also known as the Sea of Trees, Suicide Forest, and Japan's Demon Forest, Aokigahara has been home to over 500 confirmed suicides since the 1950s”. The Aokigahara forest has a horrifying history, a variety of different people who visit, also locals and workers have it worse than people think.
