One small step and The United States was changed forever, one small step and people started to look up to the sky differently, one giant leap and adventurous space voyages begin. Being the first American spaceflight to land on the moon, Apollo 11 reached its destination on July 20, 1969. Astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins had done what people only dreamed of, they gained America great knowledge which fueled research that scientists wouldn't be able to do without their success. Apollo 11 was, and still is, one of the greatest things America has ever achieved because of all the benefits that had been introduced after reaching the moon.

Through new Nasa technology Houston gained its very first retractable roof in one of its sports stadiums.
Heart monitors that have the ability to send a shock if there is a risk of heart attack approaching, Cardiac rhythm management machines which can communicate with a pacemaker that has already been implanted, cordless medical equipment to enhance movement in an operating room, and easier treatment on dialysis patients have all been introduced because of the Apollo technology.
Through all of the materialistic objects that technology of Apollo 11 helped grow, a different aspect of this achievement in history is how the U.S. gained confidence in space travel. Being the first people to ever step foot and reach the moon, it really was a “giant leap” for all of mankind in how people look up into the sky. Instead of seeing a mysterious uncharted space, eyes can now see human history and chances of exploration.
Apollo 11, being a space shuttle that achieved its purpose, has helped fuel many other missions that have followed it. Apollo 12 had a mission to fly a higher trajectory line and to add time to the flight, all which could not have been done without the information and success of Apollo
