Athena and Diomedes actions and thoughts indicate that Aphrodite is week, cowardly, and overdramatic about her pain, and words like week, and cowardly suggest that Aphrodite deserves her wound because she is a major reason behind the Trojan war. In sentences 403-407 suggest that Aphrodite is over reacting to the cut on her wrist, but Homer uses words such as Fell, Begged, and help me to point out that Aphrodite is not used to pain and she is not feeling well. On lines 417-423, Diane comforts Aphrodite, and tells her that she is not the only god that got hurt during battle, and tries to calm Aphrodite. While Diane is comforting Aphrodite, she says that its Aphrodite’s fault and she should have stayed away from battle( because she is not used
Aphrodite has two sides of being an eminent goddess. One side is the “ideal of female grace and beauty” where on the outside was a radiant goddess completely flawless (APHRODITE). The darker side of this goddess was her personality that was described as “ill-tempered” and “easily offended,” this demonstrated her being easily

The camp is located in Morton, Mississippi, surrounded by a vast, yet calm lake and countless trees. At the camp we stay in large cabins filled with twin bunk-beds and a peaceful atmosphere. This year, I discovered a trail that goes around the whole camp and it was quite fun hiking through it with my friends. Although, before we get to the camp there is a pre-determined schedule to which we must abide. We
Zeus and his sister, Hera, soon after the fall of the Titans had a son named Eelos. Eelos was a very handsome god and surpassed Apollo. He was a very kind god, teaching man to love at the age of five. Aphrodite had taught man to love before, but Eelos taught them to love deeper and think for one another, this made Aphrodite jealous. All the gods admired Eelos for his work, which made man more humble, and therefore made them worshipped the gods more. All but Aphrodite were pleased by Eelos, who felt robbed of her position on Mount Olympus. Aphrodite was also very jealous of Eelos’ beauty since it was more than she, herself had. Aphrodite spent many days planning to take Eelos’ source of power, his beauty, and give it to herself. Aphrodite created a crafty plan to seek

Aphrodite who is also referred to as Venus, was hugely admired in the Victorian-era and appeared to have kept much of her respected status that she had carried through with her from the 5th Century Greek and Roman mythology. Aphrodite from an early century is the goddess of love and beauty and is the subject to many art and literature forms in the Victorian-era. What Briton’s in the Victorian-era wrote about Aphrodite and how they illustrated her indicates what the average, educated Victorian-era Briton thought of Aphrodite. Aphrodite in the Victorian-era appeared in literature and arts including children stories, performing arts, Poems, books and newspaper columns. All of these mediums painted Aphrodite in a slightly different way, all drawing on different aspects of her, yet most of them were very similar in portraying a golden glorious goddess as well as a down to earth and charming goddess who is much like a flower in her femininity.

She takes it upon herself to make sure that Gregor is fed and his room is cleaned. This leads to the question; why does she place such a huge responsibility on herself? An optimist like Gregor who only sees the good side of people would say it is because she is a loving and caring person. That her brother’s current condition makes her feel sorry for him and

Of the works I have read in this course, I feel Metamorphoses and The Story of The Stone fit in to Kevin Brooks definitions of world literature. From reading Metamorphoses, I learned a lot about Greek gods and culture. There are also several life lessons on jealousy, greed, and love in Meramorphoes. The Story of The Stone goes in to great detail about the culture and life style of China during the Qing Dynasty.
There once lived a very sweet couple named Rose and Finch. Rose was the daughter of a successful carpenter, who was well known throughout Greece, and Finch was a very talented athlete.
