Because Ari cannot forget the trauma, he still feels pain physically and emotionally. The car accident that breaks Ari’s legs becomes a trauma to Ari since it did not only take Ari’s freedom away, but also took the friendship between Dante away. Their relationship that was bond due to friendship transforms into guilt. Therefore, after the accident, Ari experiences three stages to overcome them. At first, he denies the fact that he lossed his freedom, and friendship; he rejects the fact that he saved Dante by justifying his action as instinct. “It was just a reflex, you know, like when someone hits your funny bone below the knee” (122). Ari say this in order to make Dante not owe anything from him either does he. Nevertheless, Dante is the cause

Researchers conduct hypotheses that suicide could be contagious. Researchers had a total of 22,064 individuals ages 12 to 17. When conducting the study they met on cycles to monitor the exposure to suicide. All groups which were separated into age had an outcome of 95% of exposure to suicide. Researchers also questioned how often certain groups were or had feelings of depression or suicidal thoughts from stressful events during the cycles. In further research, 24.1% from the ages 16 and 17 responded that someone from school has committed suicide and which 20.1%

Low suicide and eating disorder rates among African Americans suggest that, individuals of the African American community may have effective coping mechanisms to help protect against such pathological behaviors. It is proposed that one of the main mechanisms is the continued dependence on Afrocentric identification versus a more Eurocentric one. Thus, it is the aim of this study to investigate if and under what conditions ethnic identification becomes a predictor of suicide in African American men and eating disorder symptomatology in African American women.
According to research, California State Fullerton professor Eliza Noh states that Asian-American women of the age 15 to 24 have the highest rates of suicide than any other racial, ethnic, or gender group. The “model minority” pressure—“socially produced pressure internalized by families of some Asian-American children to be high achievers at school and professionally”—plays a large factor to the issue, especially since girls, who are more affected by it than boys, are expected to become the “perfect mother, daughter, wife and get only A’s in school and choose the right type of job,” (Cruz 1). Noh adds on, saying that Asian-American women have a tendency “to ignore or deny stress, depression and other mental health problems” which “can
People make decisions every single day of their lives. Although, people with a terminal diagnosis still have the capability to make decisions, they are not given the legal right to a physician assisted suicide. A choice some may desire in their final days. Once the person with the terminal diagnosis has met the specific criteria he or she should decide what would be optimal decision for both themselves and their families. Palliative care will always be available to terminal patients; however, not all patients will wish to wait and wonder. Nevertheless, some terminal patients will wish to take death into their own hands. People should be allowed to choose how they will die this would reduce the overall healthcare cost, decrease the emotional toll of the patients and their families, and allow there to be dignity within death.

In this case study, researchers examined the geographic factors that associated with male suicide in United States. Researchers decided to study on the male suicide because over the past decade suicide death toll gradually increased. From 2000 to 2006, suicide was ranked as the eighth leading cause of death for men and eleventh leading cause of death in the United States. Male suicide rate was four times higher than the female counterpart. By 2009, more Americans died from suicide than from other cause of deaths. These high death tolls make the public to focus more on the study/investigation on suicide in America. The study used county level data between 2000- 2006 focusing on three variables, which included martial status, migration, and unemployment in America. The researchers believed that through understanding the connection between social
