Reflect: It is factual information. Foremost, it’s important because it supports the credibility of the claim and it proves that it is a real and current issue to the audiences. Therefore, people could easily justify on whether they should pay attention to the issue or not. Typically, the public will care more about the problem that is going to impact the public good and all matters that could devalue their living and also well-being. By this reason alone, I believe the material will support my claim and get audiences’ attention. NatGeo Mapmaker Interactive Work Cited: NatGeo Mapmaker Interactive. (n.d.). Besides, it also shows the location geographical position such as climate zone, earthquake and etcetera. Importantly, it links the information to other social media that related to the particular fire which it means audiences could click the link for the you tube, twitter and etcetera to get more information of the event. Assess: Yes, because it is an independent GPS information provider and education partner of most geography learning institutes. Importantly, this website is highly having good feedback by many Geography professors. In my case, my Geography professor Robert Gorcik, he has recommended this website as the course learning tools and for the educational purpose. Also, professor Gorcik once mentioned this website is highly reliable and widely use by geography experts. Reflect: How does the source it fit into your research? Does it help you understand the religion under investigation more? How can you use this source in your wiki project? Has it changed how you think about your
For example, you can get live traffic camera information. I know for a fact this can benefit many of people who have to drive on the interstate during traffic hours. Another benefit is being able to get highway road conditions, so you won’t come across any accidents, road closures, flood, damage, or construction. It also shows residents of Texas how to file a complaint, find meetings, and report fraud. This website is just full of great information to keep residents update about transportation issues.

In a personal reflection of 1,000 – 1,250 words, consider how a Christian might benefit from a study of other religions by addressing the following:
I decided to sketch a map of Langley High School, which is the high school I attended from 2011-2015 in McLean, Virginia. While I have lived on the Colgate campus for almost two years, I find that I am not as familiar with Colgate’s campus due to its large scale compared to my high school campus. I attended Langley for four years, and I often spent a majority of my days at school, both during school hours and after for sport’s practices and games. As a result, I became very familiar with the layout of the campus, the function of different areas, and the overall dynamic of the school, both socially and culturally. Now that I am a Langley alumni, I went back to visit during Thanksgiving break 2015 and 2016, and was able to observe the school from an outside perspective. Through my observations, I became aware of different aspects of Langley that I had not noticed as a student. For example, the different in the tense and stressful dynamic of the second floor, and the more relaxed feeling of the bottom floor was something I did not notice until I walked through the halls after graduating. Additionally, the clear hierarchy and social divisions that exist as a result of grade differences was more prominent as a non-student. In my sketch of Langley, I represented more socially important spaces by drawing them to a larger scale, and less important spaces to a smaller scale. I also indicated the changing role of a space throughout the school day by using different
For centuries Indians occupied what is today known as Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina, thriving and prospering there (History-Trail of Tears). The Cherokee Indians lived peacefully in the Southern Appalachians until Europeans settled on their land in 1540 (Perdue 2). Although the Europeans saw themselves as superior to the Cherokees because they were more civilized, the two actually had similar beliefs and upbringings. Both the Cherokee Tribe and the Europeans believed that their land had been made for them by their individual gods and that this land was flawless; however, both of the group’s ancestors became greedy and subsequently lost their particular land. For the Europeans, this is the story

During World War II there was many propaganda posters. Some encouraged you to join the Navy, while others wanted you to buy a war bond or get a war job and some even wanted you to join a car pool. Some were more effective than others and influenced more americans. One poster that caught my eye however is a poster that read “WE’RE FIGHTING TO PREVENT THIS“ and it had a nazi boot about to stomp on a building. I think this is one of the posters that had a big effect on the american people.
On occasion, authors approach cultural subjects as historians. However, Huston Smith limits the historical facts to stay focus on the values of the religions (Smith 10,12). Having an history filled book can cause readers to lose interests in his discussion. To keep the numbers down, Smith picks the religions that most people acknowledge and would share the most common themes in their life (11). He is passionate about his studies, and he wants the audience to find their own appreciation for religion. To accomplish this, Smith simply states that,”This is a book about values”(12). Some books describe a certain faith’s good and bad qualities and can sometimes put more emphasis on the bad if the

In summary, there are many benefits and drawback to the academic study of religion from the outsider’s point of view. Benefits can include factors such as gaining a new understanding of a religion or being able to gain an unbiased perspective. Drawbacks, however, include factors such as an ethnocentric point of view of an individual or simply missing minute details in a belief of religion. When everything has been said and done, I do believe that the outsider’s perspective on the study of religion is very important and something that should always be
As long as humans have walked the Earth, we have sought out answers. Answers for questions like: "Why are we here? Where do we go when we die? Where did we come from? and What's that?" How different people answered these questions is important to study because it shows us the spiritual side of human nature. Especially now, a time of conflict between Islam and Western Civilization, it is important to look back and trace the evolution of religion. To see where we started and perhaps, gain some perspective into what is happening now and what may happen in the future.
Interestingly, dogmatists and sceptics seem to share a common assumption because they both believe that what we find as a result of studying God or religion will be something objective, something quite distinct from the investigator's own heart and mind. They differ only in how they view the "object" towards which the religious search is directed. Dogmatists believe this object must lie at least partly within the grasp of human knowledge, whereas sceptics believe it does not. But how should a religion be examined?
