Ever played a game of hide and seek? Well it was slightly like that for the Franks (A Jewish family living during the Holocaust) except they were forced to play, and if caught the consequences were deadly. The theme of Anne Frank is human growth involves pain, this is the theme because life can’t flow smoothly without a few bumps, there's always a few things you have to get past first. Anne Frank and her family were forced into hiding because they were Jewish, and Jewish people were discriminated against and killed in concentration camps during the Holocaust.
One example in which this theme is used is when the Franks go into hiding, they had to go into hiding and live their for as long they had to in to remain alive, which was two years before
Jews have perished because of their beliefs since the beginning of time but never have so many Jews been persecuted worldwide as they were in World War II. Anne Frank’s diary reaches a place within all of our hearts because it reminds us how easily the innocents can suffer. Sometimes we may choose to close our eyes or look the other way when unjustifiable things happen in our society and Anne’s tale reminds us that ignorance, in part, claimed her life. Sadly, her story is but one of many of those who died in the Holocaust and as with other Jews, her fate was determined by the country she lived in, her sex and her age.
One thing they have in common is they are all where home schooled. They all believed in the star of David religion. They are all Jewish kids or teens living in the secret annex with other families. They all died differently. However, I think this is where the similarity between the three teenagers ends.
The Holocaust was a tragic event in history. It never should have happened, but it did, and the consequence of that was over 6,000,000 Jews and “inferior” people lost their lives. Those people who murdered the Jews seem evil in most people’s eyes, but not a young Jewish girl named Anne Frank. She said a quote that really amazes me. That quote was “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” In spite of all of the tragic events and the terror that was going on with Jews and Nazis and all of the rest of the world, she still sees, somehow, that everyone is good at heart, and not as evil as they seem to be. I agree with Anne, because of Miep, when she risked her life for the Franks, Van Danns, and Dussel to help them survive and hide in the Annex, even though she was Christian, not Jewish. Even though I still stick by my claim that people are good at heart, I can see how some people might disagree with me, based on Mr. Van Dann’s actions when he stole the food that needed to go to the children and the rest of the people, in order to survive.
There are many qualities that people possess which make them a leader. For example, a leader is responsible and will own their actions instead of blaming other people. Also, a leader is creative. They can think outside of the box and come up with the most efficient solutions to complex problems. Furthermore, a good leader is honest and does not deceive others for their own selfish interests. Leaders are all this and much, much more. They are excellent communicators with lots of confidence and commitment. In the play, The Diary of Anne Frank, the character Mr. Frank expresses these traits and proves that he is a leader that people want to follow.
The ability to analyze and depict the elements that are portrayed in an image is a skill that is practical to own. In your educational career, throughout most subjects you are given hundreds of images to look at. Some are simple and straightforward, and others have a much more deeper meaning to what is really going on. Having the skill to analyze an image and depict all the elements gives you a clearer and broader sense of what is going on. For example the image I have chosen to analyze is of a young jewish girl by the name of Anne Frank who wrote a diary about hiding with her family in Amsterdam during World War II.
The definition of conflict is “serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one” (Dictionary.com). For years and years, people have been facing conflict because of who they are, what they do, their cultures, and how they look. The problem is how they face the conflict that they are shown. If people are responding in a negative way to conflict, then the situation won't get better; but if people respond in a positive way, the situation can turn around for them and get better. In Anne Frank: A Diary of a Young Girl and Night both of the main characters in the stories remain positive on the times of conflict to try and improve their situations.
Ideally, if one were to go into hiding, they would like to live comfortably. Based on the description given by Anne Frank in her diary, the annex in which she was hiding in wouldn’t have been the most comfortable living situation. Cramped, quiet, yet resourceful, the liberties of the annex was very limited. Using the information provided by The Diary of a Young Girl and The Diary of Anne Frank, the living conditions of the annex were revealed. With a small living space, the constant need to remain secretive, and the limited resources, the Franks and the Van Daans must have needed much cooperation in order to live in peace.
Anne Frank was a 12 year old Jewish girl when she went into hiding. In 1942, Anne and her family moved to a secret annex behind a bookshelf in an office building. At that time, Hitler ruled Germany and wanted to extract the Jews and ship them to concentration camps. Here, they were forced into labor and then they were eventually murdered. In their two years of hiding, Anne showed many positive characteristics, despite the Jews going through such a harsh and deadly time. Sadly, Anne passed away at a concentration camp after two years of hiding on March 12th, 1945. However, her diary has inspired many people around the world. One of Anne's characteristics is optimism. She was always hopeful for the future and confident.
Anne Frank was many things: a writer, a storyteller, a witness, and a victim, among them. A fact that many seem to forget is that she was also a human being. In a concentration camp in 1945, Anne held her dying sister Margot in her arms. Her sister died very shortly after that scene; Anne died a few days later. These deaths are not featured in the famous play or classic movie based on Anne Frank’s life. Yet the true ending of Anne’s life was horrific; she suffered many days from a disease that slowly
Anne Frank and Martin Luther King Jr. were born in the same year, yet people associate them as being in completely separate parts in history. Anne Frank was a woman who went through the horrors of the holocaust and wasn’t lucky enough to survive the brutality and torture. When you look back on the accounts of treatment of the people in the concentration camps, you see more stories about the men’s lives. People seem to only hear about the men, but what about the women and how they were treated during this time as well. Women had it worse than men during the holocaust because they were more susceptible to rape, they were immediately brutalized and killed for being pregnant, and they were killed for simple

The Lose of an Innocent Life The diary of Anne Frank is different from other stories of WWII for the reason of it being a personal memoir from a young Jewish girl’s perspective not intended for the public’s view. “The Diary of a Young Girl” was written in the midsts of the second world war in which Jews were being prosecuted by the Nazis. In the beginning, Frank portrays a fairly normal life; She speaks of boys who “fall head over heels in love immediately,... and simply won’t allow [her] out of [their] sight” ( Frank 5).
Discrimination is now becoming a well-known term around the world; many acknowledge it from the time they came across: sexism, racism, ageism, and the type Anne Frank came across, persecution. Anne Frank was a thirteen-year-old Jewish girl who was hiding from the German Army or the Nazi’s, as they are better recognized back then. Her life story consisted of constantly escaping and being in isolation from those who wanted her dead; it was a difficult time to live in. Anne Frank was attacked because of her differences; Adolf Hitler (leader of the Nazi’s) was killing anyone who was not classified as “pure” or part of the “superior race”.
It was one of the many saddest events that occurred in the history of the world. In the following paragraphs you will be reading a summary or a “movie review”, what ever might call it, about Anne Frank. At the end of the review I will write about my opinion to the movie.
