There are many people in the world that have been through really tough times but still got through it. It’s tough sometimes but in the end it’s usually worth it. They hide in the secret annex and survive for for two years. But they get caught and sent to concentration camps. Dispute the horrendous treatment Anne faced she still stayed optimistic, caring, and playful.
“Stay with the cattle; hold the herd” was the main thoughts of the cowboy during the long drive (Doc E). The long drive lasted from the end of the Civil War in 1865 and ended in the 1880s due to the usage of barbed wire fencing (Background Essay). The long drive was a four month process of driving cattle from south Texas to Kansas to be sold and slaughtered (Background Essay). The question is whether I, being a cowboy, would continue to be apart of the long drive next time around. As today’s teenagers connect less and less to the past and its lessons, it is necessary to reflect on the commonalities that our generation has with past generations like Anne Frank’s because we are more alike than it seems. Summary: In the beginning of the graphic novel, the authors depict the events of Anne’s parents, Edith and Otto. The book continues to depict snapshots of her life including, Anne’s beginning years in Frankfurt, her families immigration to Amsterdam, her view of the war. At the conclusion of the book the audience is exposed to her last years in the Annex where the Frank family was betrayed by an unknown source and reported to the German Security Police, where they were later deported to a concentration camp.The conclusion of the graphic novel, depicts her eventual death and the survival of her father, which lead to the publication of Anne’s diary.
