The play version of The Diary Of Anne Frank tells the story of a young that has gone into hiding from the ss officers.in this play, anne struggles with growing up in the attic with seven other people and she is trying to fight for her independance. Then in the movie version of anne's life there are some differences and similarities of anne's life. In this movie anne is having trouble living in the same little attic with other people sharing rooms and striving to find her way to living through it all of her life living in that attic. Although the play and the movie are the same and different like the setting, both movie and play they have the some conflicts.
In the movie and the play are entirely different in the first part of the movie. In

The conflict that i thought was mostly the same was anne and her mother. Anne was more bonded with her dad but on the other hand mrs.frank tried to help out anne and give her advice about peter and things but anne just got mad and storms off and say she can make her own choices she is not a little girl any more mother. Also on the other hand in the play it is just about the same conflicts about how to live her life.
In the play of anne frank's diary they face some life lessons just as learn about the way she lived and what she had to go through. In the play and movie they had the same life lesson about herself one life lesson that thought went along with the story was never stop striving. When anne was trying to change her personality i thought that that was a good life lesson that everyone can change you just have to strive for it.this is one of the life lessons i thought was very important that was in the story because if i was not in there it would ruin it all.
Therefore the movie and play has similarities and differences. Despite the play i loved how they put the movie together was amazing it all made sense and i thought that it was going to be very boring but i just loved that movie and the life that anne frank had lived in that attic.this is why i think the movie is better than the
With any comparison between a play and its movie counterpart there are bound to be major differences and key similarities between
The plots are quite similar in both plays, both the film and the play tell a story about a man who meets 3 people, in the
differences exist between the original play and the film. Apart from the specific techniques of lighting and
Another difference is the presence of three judges in the movie, whereas in the play there were only two, both of whom where made out to be "bad guys." One additional judge is added in the movie possibly to show that it was not the entirety of the Church that was unjust, cruel, and nearly ignorant. I
Another difference in the movie from the play is the obvious different points of view. The play is told from Estela’s point of view and the movie is shown through Ana’s point of view. The play shows more of Estela’s struggles in the factory, not being able to pay for the machines, paying rent and most being an undocumented worker in the
I compared Act One, Scene 2, in the play and the film. The setting in the play is on a Saturday morning, and house cleaning is in process at the Youngers. In the film, the setting is the same as play, with lighting and costumes. The plot in the play is when Mrs. Younger gets the insurance check of $10,000. In the film, the plot is the same, but includes music not mentioned in the play. The dialogue in the film has some deletions from the original text, with new dialogue added throughout the scene.
the play. The “Anne Frank” play was very similar to the “Anne Frank” movie, but they also had some
I will say this I may not be great at understanding the (modern English?) dialect but I did realize that the movie cut out lines and parts of the actually play. He (Branagh the movie director) also left out offensive references that are in the actual play. I think in comparison that movies are focused on visuals, surroundings and the lead in to a scene. This takes more time where the play does not. If the movie had done every thing just like the play and still held true to their camera attractions think the movie would have been twice as long. Another thing I found to vary between the play and the movie is that the movie is great in having close ups and all of that, but because of this you don?t get to see the rest of the scene at the same time, like the background acting. Sometimes it is good to see everything that is going on in a room or courtyard, rather than just seeing 2 minutes of a person?s face. Also it degrades the actors full involvement such as body movement and mannerisms when you only see their face.
One thing they have in common is they are all where home schooled. They all believed in the star of David religion. They are all Jewish kids or teens living in the secret annex with other families. They all died differently. However, I think this is where the similarity between the three teenagers ends.
In the Diary of Anne Frank, the two characters I chose to compare and contrast are Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Van Daan. These two ladies are similar and different in many ways. They are both middle aged women that live in Amsterdam. When the Holocaust began in 1939, Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Van Daan moved into the secret Annex with their families.
The change in the location and the time century where this is taking place changes the way that the actors talk, wear and respond to the play that they are doing. Another difference that is in the movie but not in the play is that the character Nick Bottom has a wife in the movie while in the play he is a single man. Even though he is married the wife is only seen in two to three scenes and with that, she is not necessary towards the plot of the movie. Even though this is a minor part of the movie, this is still a notable difference that the movie has that the original play does not have. Another part of the movie that was not in the play was the scene where Hermia and Helena had gotten into a fight in the mud pit. This part of the movie was not originally in the play, but was added to the movie to add a more dramatic scene to the movie. The next difference was that in the book it tells us that the queen of the fairies refused to give her husband the Indian man so her husband, Oberon, curses her and then when he succeeds in getting the Indian man, he tells Puck that he acquired the man. The differences are that in the movie there is no mention of the Indian man after the confrontation and is not brought up again after that. There are many differences in the play and the movie then there is anything else since it was easier to
The play version of The Diary of Anne Frank tells the story of, a girl that write in her diary about what's going on in the atick and her life. In this play, Anne writes about her life but also her problems that she is facing, fighting with her mother, how she likes petter and also how she is changing as a women. In 2009 a movie was created that goes along with the stuff Anne writes in her diary. In this movie the audience sees, the everyday life of Anne Frank and her family in the atick. Although the play and the movie have different organization, both works contain the same major characters and conflicts.
For example, the mood of the play was set in the book by the lights and the sound (music) that were indicated that they were running through an event. While in the movie the light was consistent except for when the electricity went out, and music barely existed throughout the movie, even though in both the movie and the book, Tom states “In memory everything seems to happen to music” (Williams, 23). This allows the audience to deeply feel what the characters are going through, also allowing the audience the understand the themes in the play. Another difference is that the movie maker altered some characteristics in the play such as, the personality of Amanda. Amanda seemed to have a bit of an anger issue, and seemed to be very annoying in the film, while she was strict and dominant in the book but wasn’t as annoying as she was in the film.
“If you can't fly, then run, if you can't run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward. (Martin Luther King Jr.) Even though Eva and Anne both went through really hard time they both continued to move forward. Both “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “Freedom Writers” share the life lesson of even though life is hard that you should never give up and keep trying your hardest.
There are many differences in, “The Diary Of Anne Frank” text and film. Even though the differences in the film to the text were very small they still impacted the viewers understanding deeply. In the text we were only told about how life was in the attic besides from what miep told the characters when she came to visit them, but all the scenes took place in the attic. In the film it would often show what it looked like in the workroom along with the attic as well. The directors probably decided to put this into the film the help the viewer expand from the attic to show what world war two was like outside of hiding . Another difference is that in the film there was a big a big bombing scene when the Germans invaded Amsterdam. The text never
