Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born in New York City on October 11th, 1884 and died October 6th 1962. Eleanor became a politician, racial activist, a diplomat and one of the most influential women of America, the world and our time. She fought for equal rights for all people including workers, women, the poor and most of all, the black nation. Eleanor would always remember that her greatest happiness always came from helping the people that needed it. She got into politics a while after her husband Franklin fell sick and almost died. She worked hard and propelled her career into the white house. Not long after, Franklin died and eleanor had no choice but to represent him in the white house and the United States of America.

What is a goal? What’s goal setting? A goal is something you set to achieve, whether it be to eat healthier or get better grades, goals are things you wish to do and after a certain amount of time, will get done. the process of figuring out something that you want to accomplish and establishing measurable goals and timeframes for the goal. Goal setting for Eleanor Roosevelt was crucial in her lifetime. When she married Franklin Roosevelt, her life changed due to him becoming president, she became the first lady and was very important in America at the time. Her goals in life were to make a difference in our world, she aspired to help the ones in need, to speak for those who didn’t have a voice, to make the earth a better place for everyone. The question on my mind is why are we still talking about her today? Why is this relevant to young girls? Goals are important to every single person. A student may get low grades but another students may encourage them to get their grades up, once they are committed they are achieving a goal. Thanks to women like Eleanor, teenage girls today can conquer whatever dream they have, achieve any goal.
