Animal cruelty is defined as inflicting suffering or harm upon animals for purposes other than self-defense. A wide range of actions from animal neglect to violence against animals can be considered animal cruelty. Some people say that activities such as dog fighting, horse racing, and circuses cause animals to suffer, but many also say that there is nothing wrong with treating animals this way as long as they are treated humanely. Animals are put into captivity, into zoo’s, shows, and even circuses, but some still say that animals are doing what they were born and bred to do. People take advantage of animals and use them just to show off, and once they are useless to them, they just throw them out. Most owners do not realize that animals need care. Animals should have the same amount of rights as humans do.
When you hear about animals being put into shows, the first thing

Zoo’s can not provide the amount of space they have in the wild. Tigers and lions have a round 18,000 times less space than in the wild and polar bears have 1 million times less space. Surplus animals are being killed also in zoo’s. A DEFRA zoo inspection in Dartmoor Wildlife Park in October 2001 found that several significant dead animals were kept in food freezers “for taxidermy in the future.” The European Association of Zoos and Aquaria said in 2007 that zoo members were being “encouraged” to kill unwanted animals, including tigers, if other zoos did not want them or if they were not hybrids. Captive animals are deprived of everything that is natural and important to them, as a result, they become bored and lonely and many suffer from a condition called “zoochosis”. This condition is so rampant in zoos that some zoos give the animals a mood-altering drug, like Prozac, because the public has started to catch on the strange
Animal cruelty is any mistreatment to an animal of any size or kind including wild animals. The most common acts of animal cruelty recorded by the RSPCA are as follows;
Cruelty to animals, also called animal abuse, animal neglect or simply animal cruelty, is both the unintentional and the intentional infliction by humans of suffering or harm upon any non-human animal regardless of whether the act is against the law.
Thesis Statement: Imagine a dog running to fetch a toy, A horse galloping on a trail, or even a heard of cows grazing upon a grassy pasture. These same beloved animals could be suffering an unimaginable fate in some of the world concentration camps that are still standing. Only nowadays they are known to the outside world as slaughterhouses, fur farms, or experimentation centers.
Being an Animal Cruelty Investigator has been something that has interested me for a long time since I came across the show “Animal Cops.” I know a few things about this career. First, I know that it can be at times a very dangerous job not just because of the mistreated animals, but because of the crazy people too. From encountering an abused animal that only knows a life of punishment and horrible training they can be skittish and scared causing them to lash out at any point. The humans on the other hand who have hurt these animals are bad people and deserve time in jail, which they can't accept causing them to also lash out at any point just like the animals may. I also know that it involves a lot of patience, staying calm and decent communication skills. When on the job, there is gonna be many sad sights of abused pets and not every one of them will make it out alive in the end and one working has to be able to control their emotions when it comes down to the sadness of it all. Also, they have to be able to talk to
In October of 2012, a Jack Russell Terrier puppy named Phoenix was set on fire in Buffalo N.Y. The woman who discovered him was attracted by black smoke. She managed to put out the the flames with her sweater and proceeded to rush him to a small animal hospital with severe burns over his whole body and a serious ankle infection. Although he lost 60% off of both of his ears he maintained almost complete mobility of his leg. He still has a slight limp. Judi Bunge, a senior vet technician at Buffalo Small Animal Hospital who had been looking after Phoenix, adopted him soon after he had fully recovered. He now lives with Judi and her two other dogs. "Phoenix will become a therapy dog and continue his work as an ambassador for the
Animal cruelty is the worst thing to ever happen to animals. They do not deserve to be treated any type of way, they are just like humans. Thousands of animals are being abused every single day if you ever even thought about it. Why not care about them and not treat them right, they deserve to be treated right. There are animals that are treated differently, for instance home animals, shelter animals and homeless animals. Those three has things that are similar and opposite from each other. As of today we need to find way in order for all the cruelty to stop, because people do not want to be treated as the way animals are treated. For example of our saying “treat others the way you want to be treated and everything would go great”.

Animal cruelty is something that many people believe is wrong and agree that the laws should be much stricter and enforced to protect every animal. As a pet owner, we strive to make the best decisions for our furry friends, as we are their only advocates. They depend on us for everything they need to survive. There are so many decisions we must make on their behalf. What kind of food should we feed them? When is it time to see a veterinarian? These are all choices we make to ensure they live healthy and happy lives. One of the most controversial decisions we are faced with is whether or not to spay or neuter our pets. Some people feel that it is an unnecessary surgery, while others see it as a means to an end for pet overpopulation. I personally feel that in order to make the best decision, we need to be sure we have the correct facts.

Cruelty can mean a number different things in different situations, it could vary. But certain things are cruel no matter what the situation, no matter who the person was, or is. First of all I whole heartily believe that once a person if cruel to you, or anyone that you may be close with, you have the absolute right to completely cut them out of your life. Whether given an apology or not, it doesn't matter. Now, for me, an example of cruelty it an empty promise of providing for another person, if you promise to provide for someone (especially children or animals) and never intend to keep it, then you are basically not caring about them living anymore. That person is depending on you for their well being, someone placing that much trust in
When I was in eighth grade, I had to watch a movie about animal cruelty in health class. I witnessed animals being abused and killed for the purpose of meat production. After watching that video I had made the decision to go vegan. When I first told my family about my decision, they were convinced that I would not be able to go through with it and attempted to talk me out of it. Whenever we would go out to eat, they would exaggerate on how tender the steak was to try and convince me to eat meat. At times, I almost gave into the temptation of meat and had to remind myself of the tortures that animals face. Cutting meat and dairy out of my diet was tough because everything my mom cooked at home contained either meat or dairy. Going vegan changed
