Minneapolis, MN – As Allen Anderson, creator of Angel Animals and author of 13 books, was driving to a dog park to spend time with Leaf, his adopted cocker – spaniel. While he was there at the park, he started to feel dizzy. He and Linda, his loving wife, decided Allen should see a doctor. A couple weeks later, Dr. Lucas, one of the doctors he went to see, told him that he had an unruptured brain aneurysm that had to be removed. Dr. Lucas told Allen about this while he was at work on the phone. "The aneurysm is located on the interior carotid artery," he said. Before he went into surgery he spent a couple minutes with his family and most importantly Linda. As they were talking Allen looked at a wall and saw a vision of Leaf standing there. But as quickly as it arrived it disappeared. When it was time for the surgery, the head nurse came and performed a small prayer for Allen. He said that as she was praying he saw blue, white and gold sparks around her head. When she left the doctors came. Just before they injected the anesthesia into his arm, Allen saw an image of Leaf again. This time he had something silver in his mouth, It was Allen's ticket into the building.. The Killer Angels is the story of the Battle of Gettysburg. The first day of battle was July 1st, 1863 for the Confederate and Union army. This battle was known at the time as the largest and had the most casualties. In the Killer Angels there wasn’t really any many characters but the most mentioned are General Lee and General Longstreet on the Confederate side and Colonel Chamberlain on the Union side. The book is on a narration of four days of the Battle of Gettysburg that took place during the American Civil War. The story is placed during the period between June 30, 1963 when both the Union and the Confederacy soldiers prepare for battle around the town of Gettysburg and the 1st to 3rd of July 1973 when the battle began to happen. The book starts with Harrison, Longstreet's spy gathering information on the movement and positioning of the Federal soldiers.

The Killer Angels is a very interesting and intriguing novel about The Civil War and gives us day by day actions through out it all. That is what really interested me in the way this book was set up. Every day, there was a diary from different characters. Because of this, we get to see different views from different characters and how each one of them have their own stories in the war and how they got through the war. At the very beginning of the story, we meet a spy named Harrison, who loves his Shakespeare. He sees that the Union Army is coming, because he sees about twenty thousand men all at once.
