Andrew Jackson
Throughout the years there have been many presidents, but Andrew Jackson was different. He had many different policies, and his personality set him apart from a lot of other presidents. Andrew Jackson was the seventh president but some would consider him to be the first because he seemed so different from others. Andrew Jackson did not have the easiest childhood while growing up, his father had died and his mother had to raise him and his siblings. When Andrew Jackson was fourteen years old his grandfather died and he inherited $300 dollars from him. He went to Charlestown, South Carolina, which at that time was the biggest city. He would live there until he ran out of money. Jackson took part in many wars; the first war he fought in was the war of Hanging rock which was against the British. He would later go on to battle in small skirmishes against British symthisizers and tories. Andrew was not fighting those wars alone, he had his country on his side but he also had is older brothers to look up to. He fought with them until his oldest brother was killed in action when Jackson was just 13. Later on him and his brother were both captured and taken as prisoners. They were able to get out of jail and go free, but that did not last to long. Andrew’s brother died shortly after from small pox, both him and his brother were infected while they were in prison. This would not be the last battle Andrew would fight in though, even though not to long after his mother was killed while she was helping in the war, he would go onto be one of the greatest war hero’s of all time. It wasn’t till the war of 1812 that Jackson would become a world wide known hero. This war was very significant because of Andrew Jacksons quick and very smart thinking. Andrew Jackson was like no other president before him. The previous presidents had one thing in common, they were all part of the founding fathers or in John Quincy Adam’s case was the son of a founding father. However Jackson was a plantation owner from the west who had no connections with the government. He also had different views from other presidents that made his presidency unique. Two things that separated Andrew Jackson’s presidency from previous presidencies were he reached out to the common people and he was disapproving of the Bank of United States.
Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. He was elected in 1828. He did many things when he was president. He was an effective president. He did what was necessary for success. He did this in the Corrupt Bargain and Democratic Party, Spoils System, and in the Indian Removal Act.
In 1828 Andrew Jackson was elected President of the United States. The presidential election of was a victory for Andrew Jackson. Andrew’s Father died soon after his birth. He was raised by a single mother who wanted him to be a Presbyterian minister. When he was thirteen he and his brothers Hugh and Robert volunteered to fight the British. He later lost his brother Hugh to a heat stroke. He lost his brother Robert to smallpox they both got while in prison. He lost his mother at the age of 14 as well to a disease called cholera. Jackson then became an orphan. By the age of 20 Jackson became a lawyer. By the age of 21 Jackson was appointed as the district’s prosecuting attorney. He was known as a hot tempered. Andrew Jackson was probably one of the most powerful and influential presidents during his time at the white house. He was hated, yet loved by many. Jackson was an American soldier, who gained fame as a general in the U.S and served in both houses of Congress. He was soon elected the seventh president of the United States. Andrew Jackson was born in Waxhaws border of the Carolinas into a family of poverty. His father died before he was born. His mother and brothers died from diseases, which were contracted from the British during the Revolutionary War. Jackson wanted revenge on the "red coats." The War of 1812 was his perfect opportunity. In a brutal battle to keep New Orleans, he defeated the British and became a national hero. In 1828, he became the seventh president of the United States. Although Jackson was a national hero from the Battle of New Orleans, his presidential administration was flawed due to creating the spoils system, sending troops to states that disagreed with him, and the demise of thousands of Native Americans.
Born in 1767, Andrew Jackson came into a world where oppression ran through the streets by the orders of the monarchy of the time. This new world would have been in a period of discovery, and revolution as the people of the land attempted to free themselves. Jackson would grow up a stubborn child in this world, with a wild streak. His poor background contributed to a political campaign, for the people, that would span decades. As a result of his poor background and strategic campaigning, he was seen as a representative for the common folk, and lovingly referred to as “King Mob”. In this confrontation again with Britain, Jackson’s tough tactics and courage led his men to refer to him by the nickname “Old Hickory.” He rose to great prominence in the States by his heroic leadership during the Battle of New Orleans, in which he and his soldiers sustained only one-twentieth of the casualties inflicted on the British, despite Jackson beginning the battle with only three-fourths the men. Artistic renderings of the victory spread across the country at a rapid pace, placing Jackson at the head of the battle against terrible odds.
President Andrew Jackson was considered a man of the people because of his political ideas, opinions, and his background. Before Andrew Jackson became president, he was known as a war hero. Some of thing he lead as a general were the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812, where the Americans beat the british, and he also led attacks against the Seminoles. These victories helped boost the public’s view of him as a strong political figure. Andrew Jackson was an American soldier and statesman who served as the seventh president if the United States. Jackson gained fame as a general in the United States Army and served in both houses of Congress. Following John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson became the president for two terms starting in 1829 and ending at 1837. He was referred to as the first "citizen-president", representing the common man. Some of Jackson’s greatest accomplishments are the Jacksonian Democracy and response to the nullification crisis. His failures included the Indian Removal Act and the spoils system.
Jackson was a protector of democracy for "Equal protection and equal benefits" for all men. He wanted to be rid of any organization or institution promoting specific privilege to anyone.

To start off with Andrew Jacksons story he wasn’t a rich well born or highly educated politician his family emigrated to the U.S in 1765 from Ireland to somewhere around Philadelphia, later to move more toward South Carolina. His father died in 1767 in an accident to leave him, his mother and his two siblings Hugh & Robert. After being in South Carolina for some time he got a job for a saddle maker’s shop he worked here for some time, until he got a job teaching at a school while he also studied law in North Carolina.
