India’s ancient clothing had a small variety that mainly consisted of silk and cotton. Ancient India was one of the first places to grow cotton which made it very popular. Men and women’s styles were different from each other. Men would wear a dhoti which was a cloth that would wrap around their waists and was knotted in the back. Some men also wore turbans. Turbans are a headpiece that is used to cover their hair. If they didn’t wear a turban they would put their hair in man buns and keep their beards short or shaved. The Maidu lived in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, in North Central California. They lived in villages with around two hundred people in them. Their homes were made from earth, bark and brush. The land provided animals and plants for them to eat. Everyone work clothes that were made from animal hide. Tools helped them hunt, build houses and survive. We have many evidences prove that the ancient Egyptians prefer some type of clothing such as tunic. Herodotus pointed out that the Egyptians wear tunics made of linen with fringes hanging about the legs, called Kalasiris', and loose white woolen cloaks over these'. Now we can talk about the women they would wear skirts and sleeveless bloused or short sleeved shirt. Again, they are very simple with some decoration as the social class became more prestigious. The upper class is a different story. The other towns people could wear other things depending on what you are like a merchant, the military or common people. One more thing about the Aztec clothing was a huge part of the economy.

Both of these two products reflect the cultural and traditional values, symbols and meanings in the life of an Indian woman. It is traditionally worn by their ancestors from 5,000 years ago. A designer saree is known as a long female garment, which comes with a size of “six to nine yards in length,” an unstitched cloth that draped in a set design. Indian women wear saree with a matching blouse that covers the upper portion of the body and wears a color matching petticoat that ties on the wrist which enables to hold the pleats. Each designer saree has a design theme that conveys a unique story. Meanwhile, the churidar suits come with a set of three pieces of material which is “kameez, salwar, and dupatta.” A long dress that covers the upper portion of the body is known as kameez that covers until the knee, a salwar tapers at the ankle that comes as a loose or tight pants that wore tightly at the wrist. A dupatta is a long stylish ornament worn on the shoulders or to cover the head while visiting the elders or the temple.
I did not know the extent to how disrespectful and entirely inaccurate the images of Indigenous Americans that are portrayed in the media are. For instance, I found it interesting that the Native costume model was placed right next to the pilgrim costume model when they would never be so friendly and close to each other, as they were on opposing sides in the past. Plus, the Victoria’s Secret outfit on the runway is entirely disrespectful, as Native Americans would never wear such revealing clothing, and the headdress should not have been worn, as it is to be worn for the purposes of war; the model was clearly not getting ready to head out to war. Furthermore, Native Americans uphold the belief that all nature is alive and filled with spirits.

II. Indian men and women love to wear their traditional clothes and accessories during festivals and occasions which are an integral part of Indian life.
The Ancient Greeks were not to picky about how or what kind of clothing they wore. The garments they wore were usually made for function, and they were made simply. A single piece of fabric could be styled many different ways. It might not seem like it but the Greeks clothing were dyed bright colors and would have been decorated with patterns. Greek men occasionally wore a borad-brimmed hats, and on rare occasions, Greek women donned a flat-brimmed one with a high peaked crown.
