Analyzing Whip Whitaker's Film Flight

Whip Whitaker in “Flight” was a complex character. He had some issues, but ultimately I think he had good intentions. According to Aristotle’s criteria in Virtue Theory, I do not think Whip was a virtuous person. His actions did not display his ability to find the mean between vices when he faced a challenge in life. One of the main vices Whip presented was downplaying. Whip drank alcohol and took drugs the night before and the day of him flying a plane with a major airline. The plane crashed and even though Whip’s blood test came out positive, he pushed all the blame on the structure of the plane.
