Analyzing The Yellow Wallpaper “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a story about a woman who had a nervous breakdown. It’s all started when the narrator 's and her husband John rented a nice house that they could afford. The narrator 's husband “ordered” the narrator to pick a nice large, airy room on the top floor for the two of them, although she preferred the smaller, prettier room on the ground floor. The narrator didn’t like the bedroom that her husband picked, she had to obey his order, though because he is a man and a doctor. No the narrator stuck in a bedroom that she doesn’t like with disturbing yellow wallpaper with formless pattern, she describes it as “revolting.” Her husband orders didn’t stop here, he forced her to stop writing. After being controlled by her husband, she started seeing a woman that is trapped within the wallpaper. Shortly before leaving the home, the narrator started peeling off the wallpaper to free the women inside. The minute her husband arrived in the bedroom, she told him that she is finally free, then she started creeping around which left John unconscious. The central idea of the story is Human are born to be free, no one has the right to slave them, but if they did, they will faint. to show that women in the United States used to be controlled by the male until the late nineteen century.
