Nowadays, most heartbreaking songs talk about them being hurt by someone who never valued their relationship, however the following song tells a confusing heartbreaking story. “Ex de Verdad” a Spanish song by Ha-Ash sings about breaking up with their ex-lover because he was just too perfect for them. This song has a twist story, it shows how women are complicated to understand, and mostly I love it because I can relate to the story.
Hanna Nicole Perez and Ashley Grace Perez (Ha-Ash) sing a duet about an ex lover who does not know the real definition of a breakup. This ex-lover keeps being nice to her ex girlfriend even after she treated him like dog poop. To summarize the song, the lyrics contain a list of complaints to him. The second verse

This guy was just the kind of boyfriend that any girl would wished to have, yet that is not what the girl in this story wants. This song goes out to all the girls who feel confuse about the word love; they just not know what they want in a guy. As a result, they run away from the good guy and always for the bad guy.
Back when I was in eighth grade, a stranger had a huge crush on me. Awe, it felt cute at first because I remember back in sixth grade I also had a crush on him. He was a few inches taller than me, dark black curly hair, with cute freckles on his cheeks. Anyways, during my sixth year we never had a class together, I had never heard his voice, we had just never met at all. Until my eighth grade year, I don’t know how it happened, but he liked me back. He was a sweetheart to me, he walked me to my classes and sometimes we ate together at lunch, except this time I didn’t like him as I did in my sixth year. Everyone in school knew how much he liked me, yet I didn’t like him back. He was just too perfect. Long story short, I ended up in a relationship with a jerk that later cheated on me. And then again girls complain why all guys are the same,
Her lyrics are very real to say, she talks about how people see other people. She also talks about how people don’t value others, and how did replace people real quick. She also states don’t think that you can have my love to waste, she is defending her honor in a way. She’s talking about how people are seen and how they are undervalued, but she is basically saying don’t undervalue me. She is saying that she’s not like everyone else, that she shouldn’t be seen as everyone else has been
The girl’s parents might not approve of Melanie Martinez and the message her songs send out, wanting to sensor topics such as infidelity, drugs, and beauty standards. However, it is not the girl’s fault for listening to songs titled with misleading names, but it makes Melanie Martinez different from the rest. The songs helped the girl when her parents could not, doing the
In line 7 (“He isn’t an enemy now”) the speaker is telling herself that she should not be dwelling on the past because her ex can’t hurt her anymore. The “bitch” seems to be doing fine in controlling her emotions until line 9 when her ex-lover asks her: ““How are the children? They must be growing up.” An immediate change of tone occurs here. There is an internal struggle going on between her heart and her mind. The speaker’s mind is telling her to be polite to her ex, forget the past and move on. The bitch’s heart, on the other hand, is keeping her from moving on and causing her to struggle with feelings of desire. This is clear, for example, in lines 10-13: “At a kind word from him... Down, girl! Keep your distance.” The speaker knows that if she accidentally gets to close to this ex-lover by having feelings again, she will only end up getting hurt. Kind words and gestures can often be deceiving and I have learned that unfortunately charming people are dangerous. I have been hurt numerous times by such personalities by only looking at their kind side and ignoring other flaws. The bitch is warning herself to not get caught up in this trap of feelings again.
I gave my life to you literally my life to you but i guess being tied down is not what you wanted need space to breathe I believe is what you want but shit what would I know all I know is I gave you my heart Nd you took it, if you walk away my entire world will crumble my happiness will go away and I will have nothing she might as well kill me if we are being honest i guess pretty girls do put boys in cemeteries I’m not the one for her I see now I don’t even believe she really even loved me I was just a fly by like a plane in the sky no where near where it’s supposed to land I was just a past time like baseball is to America she never loved me I don’t think The more and more this is on my mind the more it weighs on me that she will leave me

In Bruno Mars's song, “Grenade”, he uses words, literary devices, and phrases to show the overall theme of disappointment, heartache, and how some people will do crazy things for the people they love, even if it isn’t a two way street. He uses examples to show a possible past relationship where he loved a girl so much that he would do anything, but she did not return the affection. This ties into the theme of disappointment and heartbreak. Bruno Mars uses literary devices, most commonly hyperboles, to show the theme of heartache and how some people will put everything on the line for love, even if it goes against their own well-being.
You were my everything, you were there for me. And now you left me empty, nothing in my caged heart. The emptiness inside me is the only way to safety. You broke me and left me empty, but know I’m stronger than you will ever be.

When I was 14 I was just starting freshman year of high school. I had gotten into the choir I wanted, my classes and teachers were great, I had awesome friends, everything was amazing. Then one day this guy who I had seen around school messaged me on Facebook. He was 4 years older than me but I didn’t care, he was cute and that was all that mattered at the time. So, we got to talking. We had a lot in common, he was
“Pretty Hurts” Song - Response to Text Essay Introduction The song, “Pretty Hurts” written by Sia Furler is about girls showing the pain to be perfect isn’t worth it, we should focus more on our inner beauty. An important idea in the song is that we should focus more on our inner beauty. A metaphor is used by the author to show a image in the readers head of how terrible it is to get caught up in trying to be perfect. A rhetorical question is used by the author to make the reader think, the evolution to be perfect won’t ever make them be happy with themselves, so why bother trying to fix their appearance when they should be focusing on what’s inside.
The song “Break Your Little Heart” by All Time Low expresses the idea of someone getting revenge on the person, in this case a girl who rejects him, by hurting that girl, worse than they got hurt. Once, when talking about the songs in their recently published(?) album, Alex Gaskarth revealed that he along with his band members wrote this song about a girl who Alex fell for in highschool. However, when he confessed his love for her, she rudely rejected him. Weeks after the incident the girl realized that she in fact developed feelings for Alex, but by that time Alex lost interest in her and plotted his revenge. In the first two stanzas of the song, Alex introduces the audience to the events that happened.

This is an inspirational song for an average teenage girl, but as I pointed out there were some contradictions to the lyrics and the meaning. They may want to see themselves as beautiful in every way possible, but the world is a puzzle and there is a piece that is gone because of what has become socially acceptable.
