Rain Man, character is a very caring individual that has a neurological

condition, but it still actually very functioning with real emotions and

feelings. People in the world of exceptionalities are still people, they just go

through life by a different set of rules, which is a result of being different,

they tend to focus on, a specific thing. but very caring individuals, capable

of affection, just in their unique ways, by releasing this film it allowed

people around the world to understand different exceptionalities, and what

people go through each and everyday. The film focuses on the power and

Secondly, Some identification is better than no identification; this film

showed that even though Some parents don’t know what their children

could be diagnosed with, family still stands by one another no matter what.

I learned a lot from it I think the movie is helpful. I personally did not know

much about autism before I saw it.

History was changed in a certain light once rain man premiered; the movie

introduced a nation and more to autism. Many criticize that the movie is

portrayed in such an uncommon and unique way. There was a time when

people were institutionalized for this neurological condition. At a time there

where many names for autism, ‘’mentality ill, retarded’’ when approaching

someone with this exceptionality. Some said people related to the movie in

a positive manner ’’ viewer: People do not like autistic people because they

do not understand how they function. The movie Rain Man showed that

autistic people have certain talents that a lot of people do not possess. It

humanizes someone with autism to the naive people who don't know any

better. I think the movie taught people good things.’’ The movie teaches

society every single person is different, unique in their own way doesn’t

make them any less then what they are, it gives audience a sense of

comfort, seeing the life autistic people live.
