Macbeth is a successful and a highly respected member of a social group, loaded with honors and enjoying every prospect of his life in praise. His family is by his side no matter what obstacles he may face, including any peer pressure from his wife. Many people praise Macbeth for his heroic actions in defending his precious kingdom he plans to run. There is a saying “Absolute power is corrupt absolutely”, portrays how power affects what it means to be king. There are good qualities and bad ones as well. The good qualities are described during act 4 scene 3, where Macduff tests Malcolm’s loyalty by describing blamable qualities. Malcolm responds with “The king-becoming graces are justice, verity, temp’rance, stableness, bounty, perseverance, mercy, lowliness, devotion, patience, courage, fortitude.” (Shakespeare, Act IV, iii, lines 93-96) This describes that a good king should be loyal with all of those qualities, including his own interests as well. Macbeth was the one who brought chaos that caused him to be tyrant in the end.
When Macbeth becomes king, he then abuses his power by murdering anyone that would seem to be eligible for the throne. Once he is king, Lady Macbeth is now queen and together they will be unstoppable.
