Phi Beta Sigma, Fraternity, Inc. was permanently organized on January 9, 1914 by Honorable A. L. Taylor, Honorable L. F. Morse, Honorable C. I. Brown, and nine other prestige associates at Howard University. This paper will discuss what it means to be in a fraternity and the legacies I attend to leave in the Phi Beta Sigma.

They can choose to extend their knowledge in fields like farm economics, marketing, computer science, and biotechnology. Through chapter meetings, members will learn and develop public speaking skills and working for others.
Alpha Kappa Alphas represent service and culture more than anything. Ever since AKA was founded in 1908, their motto has been “By Culture and By Merit”, and the mission of the sorority goes along with their motto. According to the mission tab of the official AKA website, service to all mankind, to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, and to alleviate problems concerning girls and women to maintain a progressive ingress in college life are the five components of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission to stand by their motto (Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc., Par. 1).
A Zeta is a woman who is community conscious and action oriented, and as such, someone who is continuously thinking of innovative ways to better the community around her. As a finer woman of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., I believe that I uphold these ideals. Ever since I was a young girl with no knowledge of what Zeta was, I have always possessed this insatiable need to help others. This need to help those around me only intensified as I went through my journey of life. When I learned about our amazing sorority, I not only, became instantly drawn to our founding principles, but also realized the opportunity to serve and reach out to others I would gain through the organization.
Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated purpose is to be of service to all mankind dealing with critical issues in communities domestically and internationally. What I have grown to understand an envision a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to be, I accredit largely to the ladies of the Gamma Theta chapter. This has the result of attending many of the chapter’s events during my time at Hampton thus far. One of my favorite events was a screening of a documentary Girls Rising. I learned to appreciate every opportunity to learn and gain knowledge because in some parts of the world girls are restricted from receiving an education. A

I believe the purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is to grow and develop women scholastically and to help women reach their goals. This organization is noted for its extensive service, reaching beyond college campuses. The purpose is also to stay dedicated and committed to academic excellence. Women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., not only give back to their community but are also leaders, uniting women to have a positive impact on others. Joining a sisterhood such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is a lifelong commitment. Since Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. starts in the collegiate years, the skills you learn can help later on in life. It is also preparation for working with people with different personal and professional backgrounds. Also, to be aware of what is going on around you and how you can make an impact. Young women looking for mentorship can have a positive
This is a call for additional drivers for the Zeta van. Presently, we have 3, but we need at least 2-3 more.
Every member understands their duties as Ivy League black male and how to use their status to better the situation of others. I chose to pursue Alpha because they exhibit the true meaning of brotherhood and thrive in every endeavor they make. As I continue to learn more and more about the organization, I find other reasons why I want to be a member. They are always giving one hundred percent to everything that they do. They make it evident that they possess the skills necessary to be great in any field that they so
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of my interest in becoming a member of the Nu Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. My desire to have the opportunity to become a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity incorporated is grounded on encounters, characteristics and the prestige purpose and history of the fraternity.
Firstly, my relationship with God keeps me on the straight and narrow, when I observe Alpha men I see the qualities of godliness, dignity, respect, and distinction I was instantly drawn, as their natural behavior and organizational tenants resonate with who I am and continuously strive to be. My desire to become an Alpha man is not about personal gain, but I believe can give back. There is no other organization that personifies this more, than Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and that’s why I aspire to be an Alpha man.
