When a person is faced with an awful situation, it is all too easy to only see the negative. Flight by Sherman Alexie, focuses on this through the point of a young teen named Zits. Zits grew up in an abusive and unhealthy environment. (exsmples) When Zits turned fifteen, he met someone that calls themselves Justice who mislead Zits ino shooting up a bank. This leads to his death and a series of body shifts. These shifts make Zits reflect on his own identity and the actions he’s committed his life. By experiencing different stories/lives, Zits is able to learn that, even though there are bad things in the world, there are also many positives to go with the negatives.

This project was a test to show if we could follow directions. We had to follow a list of steps in order to create a well flying airplane. The steps were very precise and only little error could occur to allow the airplane to fly good. This way, we could make sure we were focusing on the steps to make sure we did perfect on the project. There was a measure of the distance the airplane travelled and a measure of how long the airplane was aloft.

Weaknesses are a symptom that is prevalent in today’s information technology realm, indicating vulnerabilities and risks that come hand and hand with shared networks like Aircraft Solutions. With enterprises exchanging an unprecedented level of information over open networks, the vulnerabilities and possibility of compromised security by unwanted intruders is swelling up into a new type of beast.

The first flight occurred in 1903 when the Wright brothers famously took their airplane for a final test flight in December. In the years after this historic flight many people start to see the potential for airplanes in war, transportation, and shipping. Other builders disregarded previous doubt about flying and began to replicate the ideas of the Wright brothers in creating planes with three axes. In addition, the approach of WWI prompted military personnel to pursue uses of airplanes as a war machine. The airplane influenced many aspects of American culture after it’s invention including civilian life, war technology, and individual possibility.

The introduction of aircraft had begun a new era in warfare. No longer were military powers limited to the boundaries of vehicles that were restricted to land. The evolution of aircraft technology helped pioneer a new type of combat strategy that played a significant role in determining the outcome of a battle. Air combat also influenced the economies of the participating countries. The whole cycle of airplanes from the assembly line to the pilot became factors that added up to become an advantage or disadvantage.

Since the beginning of aviation, aircraft have been used for other intentions besides carrying passengers and cargo. They have been used as weapons of war dating all the way back to the first world war, and the use of aircraft has enlightened the advancement of the aviation. “Throughout the history of aviation, the greatest progress in flight has been made during time when either war or the threat of war was present” (Millspaugh, et al., 2008, p. 33). However, the war we face today has been triggered by the deliberate use of aircraft to cause death, destruction, and mayhem.

Airplanes are massive and very complex pieces of machinery, and they help us get to places more efficiently and cheaper than traditional ways. Although we have seen that if

twelve seconds, and it had been the first successful, powered, piloted flight ever recorded. Finally, on November 9, 1904, Wilbur Wright had made history when the first flight lasting more than five minutes took place (“Wright Brothers”).

The book Flight by Sherman Alexie is about a 15 year-old boy named Zits. His Irish mother dies of breast cancer when he is young and his Native American alcoholic father runs away. He has lived in 20 different foster homes and has gone to 22 different schools. Zits had a very rough childhood which has led him to be a troublemaker. Later in the story he shoots up a bank and then gets shot. As a result of his death, he goes on a “flight” and lives through parts of people’s lives who’ve experienced violence, revenge and betrayal. A scene in Flight where he experiences betrayal is in the body of Jimmy. Jimmy betrays his wife then later finds out that his best friend betrayed him and so many other people. There are four basic components in making an airplane fly, lift, drag, thrust, and weight. All of these work in unison to make a plane stay in the air.
