The entertainment levels within the online casino industry aren’t ever likely to be in doubt, but the level of creativity and originality being showcased certainly is. What has many fans of online casino gaming worried is the fact that developers seem to be relying on the same old tired themes and doing nothing to reinvent them. Enter Casino Web Scripts, a small time developer that obviously has big dreams. Taking old slot themes and giving them a fresh twist, with Ahoy Pirates it appears that the developer has worked its magic once again.

If you’re on a cold streak, this symbol could very well step in to save the day. Speaking of saving the day, this game has a heavy free spins element. By successfully locating two or more scatter symbols in this game, you’ll be rewarded some cost free action.
Finally, unlike most Casino Web Scripts games, Ahoy Pirates is able to offer a bonus game, which sees players taking to the ship’s cannons in order to shoot down a bumper prize. We love a good mini-game and we can certainly say that this has become a guilty pleasure.
Ahoy Pirates is ready to set sail!
Ahoy Pirates is a mixed bag in a sense, as within some areas it’s brilliant, while in others it’s a bit drab. You can’t argue against the payouts and bonus features, but the design, while admittedly fresh, could do with a bit of work. You have to believe that if the game received a bit of extra detail it could very well become a flagship game for Casino Web Scripts.
Meta: Get ready to set sail, as Casino Web Scripts has raised the curtain on a brand new pirate adventure. Ahoy Pirates is all silly, all nonsense, and all fun, thus is well worthy trying on for
The Jolly Roger sits anchored along the North Shore for the winter. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Pirates log seems full of activity. It is time to tap our keyboards and take a look at what some of
The Atlantic pirates were after gold or booty as Disney producers portray it to be, but this wasn’t there main goal, instead the Atlantic pirate’s main goal was revenge. After several centuries of poverty and being in the bottom social rank people took to themselves to solve their economic problems by going against king and machinists. Many of these pirates either had worked for this mechanist or for the kingdom’s fleet. As stated by Dr. Marcus Rediker “Merchant seamen got a hard, close look at death: disease and accidents were commonplace in their occupation, rations were often meager and discipline was brutal… Some pirates had served in the navy where conditions aboard ship were no less harsh” (Rediker 206-207). These severe conditions were the driving force for revenge at whatever the cost maybe. The previous experience of being at sea made these pirates very knowledgeable because they also knew that the American colonies were doing their own thing. Even though they were
The Book is written by Adrian Tinniswood. Before I read the book I think pirates are rude and violent men, after I read the book I think pirates can be romantic and living for pirates can be jolly. There is always piracy on the sea since the days of commerce. Through the history of Europe, especially in the seventeenth century, piracy become a part of European history. The pirates seemed mysterious. Even in this wonderful book, there are not many part describes the pirates, it counties to be mysterious. I think it leaves room for reader’s imagination.
“Buccaneers and Pirates of our Coasts”, by Frank Richard Stockton, is a non-fiction, rollicking story of the origins of piracy and of the famous pirates of the coasts of the United States, such as Blackbeard, Captain Kidd, and Henry Morgan. The stories don’t cast pirates in the glowing light of modern day interpretations, in Stockton’s stories, pirates are bad guys! Stockton tries to show his audience that even old pirate stories can be entertaining as well as valuable. Although, the dramatic and authentic feel makes his stories quite entertaining.
Captain Ahab is obsessed with the idea of seeking revenge and killing the great white whale, Moby Dick. He boards the Pequod, a whaleboat ship and with only one mission in mind, to destruct Moby Dick. Ahab is a bad captain for the whaleboat because he is infiltrated with the obsession to kill Moby Dick which makes him manipulative, selfish, and quite dangerous. Even if the Pequod’s fate was to fail or succeed, Ahab made it inevitable to have a good success. Throughout the book, it can be argued that Ahab seems to portray not only the pequod’s ship caption but a dictator as well. The crew is deemed to risk their lives for the captain’s sake no matter the circumstances since their choices are limited to either dying by jumping off the boat or
Pirates are people we think of living in the eighteenth century, attacking ships in the open seas. One that may come to mind is Blackbeard. The most common definition of pirates is a person who steals or robs at sea. Although it may not seem like it, there are still pirates today such as the Somali pirates.
The book is written by, Slotkin, Richard. Lost Battalions: The Great War and the Crisis of American Nationality. New York, N.Y: Henry Holt and Company, 2005. Print. During the Great War, American Nationality and a nation struggling with inequalities came to the forefront. Slotkin concentrates his writings on the heroic African American troops of the 369th Infantry and the legendary 77th “lost battalion” composed of New York City immigrants. These brave men fought in a foreign war they didn’t even believe in; what they were really fighting for was the right to be treated equal
The majority of the life of a pirate is spent at sea. Most pirates’ made their money from taking over ships of other people and selling illegal goods which were usually stolen from the ships. Pirates needed to be able to travel on sea and explore new areas, they would have encounters with the ships they are trying to capture, and they would exchange illegal goods and slaves. One infamous group of pirates, the Barbary Pirates, was so good at their job that they were seen as a threat to the major governments of the world.
1700 marks the “Golden Age” of piracy, where the seas and oceans were filled with many of the world’s famous pirates like “Calico Jack”, Edward Low and the notorious Blackbeard (“The Golden”). Although they sound a lot like legends, there is no doubt that pirates have became a part of today’ s media and a famous subculture in style and stories (“Pirates in”). Blackbeard’s story has been influential in the pirate subculture and has been referenced in different kinds of stories, movies and cartoons like Pirates of the Caribbean and One Piece. Blackbeard’s life and legacy is still a heavy influence on pirate subculture today.
Despite the work of piracy being an exercise of serving self- interest, a single pirate alone could not become successful in creating a force strong enough to make any sort of living. Pirates depended on the ability of their crewmates to get done what had to be done. The crew of a pirate ship live in close quarters with each other when ever they were at sea and because of this, “ ships formed ‘floating societies’ that, like all societies required social rules and governance institutions to function” (Leeson 203). These rules and governances were instituted through the pirate code. The concept of a pirate code has become popular through its appearances in films like Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Cures of the Black Pearl. However, unlike
Buried treasure, eye patches, and walking the plank are all words and phrases that often appear in stories involving pirates. Tales about the voyages of pirates are often adventurous and riveting ones. It is very awe-inspiring to think about the daring lives those pirates once led. However, it might not be safe to assume that these stories are close to the truth or even based on genuine facts. In 1881 Robert Louis Stevenson wrote a book entitled Treasure Island, which in return would forever change the way people looked at the term "pirate." Due to this book there are several different movies that have been created to interpret the term pirate in different ways. Black Pirate, The Dancing Pirate, Sea Hawk, and Captain Blood include some
“Pirates, Galleons and Treasure” also shows pirate stories being romanticised when they speak about the relationship of Anne Bonny and Calico Jack.
Tom thinks that nobody cares for and he isn't needed anymore, and decides he should become a pirate. later on he gets Joe and Huck to come with him.Tom states¨Oh, they have just a bully time— take ships and burn them, and get the money and bury it in awful places in their island where there's ghosts and things to watch it, and kill everybody in the ships— make 'em walk a plank.¨Tom think this is what pirates do based off of
Albert Bandura (1977), a psychologist, proposed social learning theory to integrate the behaviorism with the cognitive theory to explain why people behave in a certain way, irrespective of the type of environment they are in. Bandura tried to integrate the behavior, cognition, and the environment to postulate the social learning theory. Many academicians have seen Bandura as the neo-behaviorist theorist (positivist) despite the fact that he believed in self-help, self-regulation, and self-reflection. Albert Bandura goes beyond the behaviorist tradition of reward and punishment of behavioral reinforcement. He said that people learn not only by direct experiences, but also by vicarious learning (by observing), symbolic functioning (learning through conceptualization), and self-regulatory process (learning through self-direction such as rewarding oneself for certain behaviors), which is absent in ANT. He believed, unlike the network theorists, that most external influences affect behavior through the intermediary cognitive process. Social learning theory is helpful in understanding childhood development and human behavior in the cyber environment and “sociotechnical” environment of ANT and human ghosting. Social learning theory can also help in understanding impacts of technological developments on human beings. People learn from each other how to behave in a new environment. Social learning theory explains many childhood social, moral, and cognitive
