Every state,or place in general, needs a type of resource to make money as a way to support its people. In Texas alone there are many resources that we are able to make money off of, however based on the information I’ve learned leading up to this
point, the most valuable resource in Texas is rich soil. Not only does rich soil affect the
growth of plants, it can also help to maintain healthy cattle and decrease global
Warming.

Overall having
rich soil can make our crops be ultimately better.
As stated in the above paragraph, agriculture is growing plants and raising animals. We
here in texas take pride in our cattle, so naturally we have to be able to back it up. Cattle
eats mostly grass and/or hay which is grown. The better the soil the healthier the plant,
which results in healthy cattle. We use our cattle for milk and meat, and you wouldn’t want
to drink bad tasting milk or eat bad meat. These things are something that could likely
occur with bad hay/grass. Those plants need good soil to be good which is something
texas has lots of, making it a great resource to take advantage of.
Global Warming is a very relevant in society today. Did you know that if you have healthy soil, we can be able to manage global warming better? First we need the science behind global warming, according to the dictionary global warming is “a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants.”, meaning that CO2 is a cause of
Two major problems that came about in the immediate years after the Texas Revolution was the financial stability of the Republic of Texas’ treasury and foreign diplomacy. After the Revolution, the government was $1.25 million in debt and had no funds to aid those who lost everything during the fight for Texas’ independence. Texas’ main asset was land, however, this brought minimal funding relief since land prices were so low for new settlers. Texas was also in political limbo after the Revolution since it had not received official recognition as a sovereign nation. This made the people of Texas rush to the idea of annexation to the United States.
v. One of the reasons for astounding growth of Houston – federal investment. More willing to go to federal government or state government.
The economy of Texas it’s no longer based on farms and ranches, but on the industry, finance, shipping, energy, etc. (67). All this explains why the constitution it’s now outdated and doesn’t connect with current Texas. In conclusion, Texas constitution has both strengths and weakness, but it feels that the weakness outshines the strengths. The main problem is that it does not represent Texas anymore, so the rights given by the constitution and the limited government feel useless against this fact.
Interest groups in Texas that have huge impact in policy making are: Agriculture and Food, Abortion, Business and consumers, Education, Guns, Health and Health care, Housing and property, Commercial banks, oil and gas and so
Keeping a working economy has always been one of Texas’ main concerns. In order to convince companies to move to Texas, regulations and economic conditions were created in their favor. While it has helped in keeping a booming economy, it has left us with a polluted environment which in turn led the federal government to step in and try to create the regulations Texas refused to make. The Environmental Protection Agency tried increasing the water they regulate with the new Clean Water Act, but may have overstepped their boundaries. Texas should continue having a booming economy, but an increase in environmental regulations is a must in order to avoid federal government intervention.
Who We Are In Samuel Westerns book, Pushed off the Mountain, Sold Down the River: Wyoming’s Search for Its Soul, he argues that we represent agriculture as the “heart” of Wyoming and as being the “Cowboy State”, which he continues to say is far from the truth. Western also argues that we see wealth in natural resources and rely too heavily on them as a source of economic growth. I disagree with Western’s claims however; agriculture and natural resources are a large part of who we are in Wyoming, and have always been. Western hunts for answers to questions like why Wyoming remains our least populous state, why populations are rapidly growing elsewhere due to young graduates leaving to look for work elsewhere, and why we appear to rely on agriculture and natural resources as our economic income.
Early Arkansas settlers made producing corn a top priority. It gave people needed nutrients and helped save many from starvation. As years go by, corn production has increased dramatically due to improved hybrids, fertilizer, irrigation practices, and pest management.
The Agriculture that is around me includes what we produce and make as a result in our variety of things Arkansas has in a category called agriculture. US as the Natural state produces a wide variety of Agricultural commodities ranging from wheat and cotton to livestock. agriculture is Arkansas’ largest industry, adding around $16 billion to the state’s economy annually. The Natural State’s diverse landscape and climate produce a wide variety of Arkansas agricultural products. Arkansas is a major exporter of rice, soybeans, cotton, poultry and feed grains. There are 49,346 farms statewide and 97 percent of Arkansas’ farms are family-owned. A mere 16 percent of Arkansas’ farms account for a whopping 92 percent of production. Below you will

Furthermore, their traits give them a competitive advantage for resources such as light, nutrients and water (Morris et al. 2011). Increased species biomass can lead to: i) High species seed production, Nitrogen fixation, increased litter layer accumulation, shading, production of allelopathic compounds and increased water uptake (Le Marie et al. 2011). Consequently, cause suppression of some native species and lead to changes in plant community. As a result, change in plant- animal interactions and mutualism. For many decades, Global Warming has been a major issue. Some people believe the notion of global warming is blown way out of proportions, but there is substantial scientific evidence that has proven that it is affecting our planet in a negative way. Global Warming is the rise in Earth’s temperature caused by greenhouse gas emissions, automobiles, factories, deforestation and other human activities. This causes damage to ecosystems and animal habitats and millions of dollars in damage each year to people who affected by it. Additionally this will lead to severe weather events, rise in Earth's temperature, and sea levels rising.
