The age of exploration was a period of time that European ships traveled around the world to find new trading routes and find gold. The world at that time was separated into two worlds the “Old World” (the Americas) and the “New World”(Eurasia). The Age of Exploration impacted the world in many ways. First, socially the Europeans new contact with the new world resulted in a cultural and religious change among the people. The need to spread Christianity plays a big part of this cultural change. Europeans viewed the Natives and their culture as inferior people, said chris. As more theories about the Age of Exploration come the most believed one is that the Europeans were just lucky and it all had to do with the geography. Angelo stated “They wanted the new land so that they can grow their land and it would be the same as Eurasia” but that is not true because civilizations were able to flourish in Eurasia because everything was the same but you can't do that in the americas because the geography was different so information spreading didn't happen so europeans didn't have to be smarter they were just lucky. “Disease was one of the biggest killers out there during that time” said Dan ; Because none of the natives were immune to these diseases because they don't have domesticated animals that lead to these diseases. After the death of many Natives by gun, sword, or disease the Europeans took over the land and started to build up a new government, started colonizations, and began to grow an empire. They brought in slaves from Africa, used the natives as slaves and built up using their skills from Eurasia as well as forcing the natives to teach then new ways to do things. Eurasia became very rich because they received a lot of gold and different trading items from the americas it became one of the biggest trading places for the world. While going out on a new adventure and trying to find gold or a new trade route is good I don't think the Europeans or Spaniards should have been able to do what they did. The Age of Exploration began in the early 1500’s in the nation of Portugal under leadership of Henry the Navigator. The first expedition to circle the globe was led by the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. The causes of the Age of Exploration was to look for new trade routes and spread religion. The effects of the Age of Exploration were slavery and disease.
The age of exploration was a time period that brought two different worlds together. European explorers were able to use the navigation to discover the new world. Humans have always been curious about their surroundings and how it could benefit them. The Europeans were famous for doing just that. The Age of Discovery and the Age of New Imperialism are evidence of the Europeans’ curiosity to venture out of their country. Although both the Age of Discovery and New Imperialism were similar in political and religious motives, they differed in economic motives and mindsets. The Age of Discovery and New Imperialism had many similarities in motives.
Coming from a more advanced civilization in the Europeans eyes they thought they were better than the Natives and therefore wanted to “change” the Natives way and wanting them to conform to their society. (Mooney 37)

The first effect of the Age of Exploration, was the finding of the New World. The New World provided opportunities for European countries to conquer new lands and to obtain wealth while conquering. After Columbus “found'; the New World, there were European explorers embarking on new journeys there constantly. They would set up new colonies and conquer new lands. From these colonies, they set up trading posts back to their mother countries. Gold, fur, corn, potatoes, tobacco, chocolate, and many other products were brought back to Europe.
